Insight: 17 vs Intimidation(22). (If technically considered a fear effect, ignore the 2nd roll)
Doozey bristled at Graxx demand, his own grip tightening as exhausted patience turned to anger. But, before he could get another word in, Utar cutting growling and hissing at least gives the stoutling a start. Enough to where even he lowered his blade for a moment, before recalling VIlly once more. "Yea... 'cause of me... If I hadn't been even handed...always the same." He muttered underbreathe, and turned from Utar to Graxx, grip reaffirmed, and soon enough feeling all the more justified after Graxx' reaction to it all.
"Nor is he so quick to cast aside his friends. Especially not after last night... Listen to reason, or I /will/ do whatever must be done."
Doozey notices that something is off with Graxx but does not hesitate this time. He tries to snap the barbarian out of it with a well-placed (Slayer's Prey) punch to the leg, but Graxx doesn't react in pain, or almost at all. His initial plan failed, the hunter expresses his worries out loud, making clear his intention to stop Graxx from attacking the dragon. The human man confronts Doozey and the situation begins to escalate quickly with none of the parties willing to back down.
Utar tries to calm things down before the party reaches a point of no return. He does so by becoming as menacing as only a half-orc can. Although both Doozey and Graxx waver for a moment, they continue to argue among themselves.
-> Graxx and Doozey will be considered as frightened of Utar for one round once initiative kicks in.
Evidence begins to mount against the Sky Pony as Neya joins the conversation. Both monk and cleric observe as Graxx's responses become more and more defensive:
@Neya:
You have been keeping a close mental record of Graxx's action and decisions ever since his first strange episode back in the fight against Grim. Drazzim was just blindingly stubborn, but Graxx's decision to partially support the dwarf's decision seemed a bit cruel. Since then, Graxx has been getting more and more in trouble for what seems like little initial provocation. His fighting style has become more harsh, he has put CRAP in danger while facing Captain Burral, has envoked the name of Tempus more and more often to justify his brash actions, and is now willing to put Elisande's life in danger to attack a dragon in its own lair? This is not the Graxx's you have come to call a friend. This is a different person. The change in personality comes only sporadically, but it is quick and unjustified. And it all started after that night underground... after CRAP defeated Grim... after Graxx took the dragonborn's black blade for himself!
(OOC: If you so choose, you may now consider Neya's leading theory to be that of a cursed weapon. You are the first in the group to arrive at this conclusion.)
@Utar:
Graxx is behaving strangely, just as he did in a few past occasions. You start to think he simply has a thing against authority. His stubbornness got him into trouble with Captain Aleyd Burral earlier, and now he is preparing to defy a dragon in its own lair. You begin to wonder if all Sky Ponies are like this.
(OOC: You recognize there is something about Graxx that is off-putting at this instant, but as far as you know it is just a personality quirk that comes forth in quite inopportune moments. It will take some convincing for Utar to make a connection between his behavior and the sword).
The implications of what Neya had inferred dawns on her, "Oh, no... Utar, things have started to make a lot more sense and I don't like it!"
"If I'm right, then the tragedy of Sokol Keep is not over! In fact, it's true source has been with us since we left and it's literally in Graxx's hands!"
As Neya watches as her barbarian companion's face twists to a more blood thirsty look.
"Now, Graxx is not using Grimm's sword. Rather, it's the other way around! This is not a fight to stop him, it's a fight to save him!"
Graxx softens for just a moment looks confused at Neya and Utar.
"My sword... What?" says Graxx.
Graxx looks down at his sword and hardens once more.
"No... This isn't some wizard sword controlling me! You are just trying to manipulate me, just like the Drow did! This sword is a gift from Tempus and you are trying to make it into a bad thing! To make me part with it! The dragon must want it and you are in cahoots with it!" says Graxx.
Seeing that hint of doubt gives Neya an opening, "A sword of a murderer...? Of one man who betrayed another? Not just betrayed, his friend's back was turned. Does that sound like a gift Tempus would present?"
(OOC: So, in the end, Graxx's disadvantage rolls didn't really change anything.)
The four members of CRAP begin to pace around each other. Though the argument continues, a resolution does not seem any nearer. Neya tries to wash away any doubt still remaining in Utar's mind, while instilling some new doubt into Graxx's. Whoever makes the next move must be ready for the consequences.
(OOC: What happens in your turn is up to you. Please don't feel like you absolutely must fight just because we are going into initiative.)
(You can all take your turn but since this is potentially a PvP fight, we'll be strictly sticking to the initiative order when it comes time to resolve the posts.)
Doozey's mind had long since been made up, and focus set towards a singular goal. Unnerved as much as he had been by Utar, he could not -- WOULD not hesitate again. The sole reason he remained silent, Graxx would discover too late, or so he mutely hoped. For in that window his attention tarried too long on Neya and Utar, the crossbow goes up, and a shot taken at the barbarian's sword arm.
"You were given your chance, Mr. Graxx! No more. I will not stand another moment of this madness." He declared.
Action: Light Crossbow - Attack: 25 Damage: 13 on Graxx.

Neya, knowing that while she may have gotten through to him to a small degree, she may have provoked him provoked him further. She also knows how dangerous he can get when the heat of battle gets to him, which isn't that hard of a hurdle. To get ahead of that, she will try and prevent that from happening altogether.
As if sensing her intent was more to incapacitate, rather than kill, her arms start to look like gauntlets of draconic scales as she rushes in and strikes at three pressure points, fully aware that she will leave herself open to attack.
Unarmed Attack: 22 Damage: 11
Extra Unarmed Attack: 23 Damage: 11
Bonus Unarmed Attack: 11 Damage: 6
(Every successful hit will be a Stunning strike attempt. Each will cost 1 ki point, Graxx will need to roll Con save [DC13] for each stunning strike, failure results in being stunned until end of Neya's next turn)
Graxx roars out as the arrow strikes him his eyes set on Doozey with a vengeance.
Neya pummels Graxx. He feels searing pain throughout his body but he shakes off the stunning effect. He looks to his sword and he now sets his eyes for vengeance on Neya.
BA: Graxx begins to rage!
Graxx swings his sword recklessly like a great weapon master would twice at Neya seeking his revenge!
Attack: 10 Damage: 23
Attack: 22 Damage: 29
Divine Fury Damage: 6
GRAXX is frightened so it should be straight rolls due to recklessness. Please only use first rolls which means no crit.
The words burst from Utar in a flood as the sound of battle joined fills the chamber.
His mind racing around Neya's words, he considers the behaviour of his friend since coming into possession of his new greatsword.
Pointing directly at Graxx, his other hand gripping his amulet tight, he casts command.
The amulet glows famiwith that familiar light and as he opens his mouth, a faint glow escaping from the back of his throat. His voice is strangely flat and emotionless compared to his earlier outburst.
"Throw that sword into the water."
(OOC Graxx needs to beat a DC14 wisdom save or that greatsword is going for a swim, don't think it's at DA. If throwing the sword goes beyond the limits of the spell, I guess dropping the sword in his next turn is ok too.)
(OOC: I’m loving all the interaction here. This fight barely needs any resolving from my part. Keep it going and don’t mind the ref...)
The stare down is interrupted by the twang of Doozey’s crossbow. His bolt goes through Graxx’s left forearm and will certainly leave a scar (Graxx takes 13 piercing damage).
Neya jumps into action and punches the barbarian repeatedly, hoping to land a stunning strike to his chin (Graxx takes 28 magical bludgeoning damage). The Sky Pony proves he has a tougher chin than could even be expected.
Set on vengeance, Graxx drops everything he has on top of Neya. The monk dodges out of the way of the first attack but isn’t fast enough to avoid the second. This has to be the deepest cut she has ever gotten from a single blow (Neya takes 29 magical slashing and radiant damage).
Still incredulous, Utar tries to stop the fighting by commandingGraxx to dispose of his weapon. The infuriated barbarian is having none of it.
"Save the sermons for later, Mr. Utar! Focus on saving your friend from himself!" Doozey replied curtly; a note of agitation working it way into his voice. 'One to talk... Stop Hesitating'A voice that was both his and not echoed in mind. Grimacing, Doozey bloodied his crossbow and murmured the words, activating the rites before drawing the wounded thumb through his hair. "Just go down, you fool." He mutters as the bolt is released at the barbarian's leg.
Bonus Action: Activate Crimson Rite, taking 5 points of damage, and reducing Max by 5.(if reading it right)
Action: Light Crossbow - Attack: 28 Damage: 10 plus an additional 2(Crit: 3) of lightning on Graxx.
