Keth nods slowly at the words. "Buy me a drink and tell me about them and you have a deal...They usually have any spell slingers or healers with them? Have to take them first. Bring magic to a fight just isn't sporting."
Snap steps into the room. "Am I to understand you mean for us to wait here for the crew of the Uncivil Serpent?"
"They may have taken on a magic-user onto the ship's crew - I wouldn't know either way - but, those are pricey; such a person would likely either remain on the ship, or be left to their own accords with escorts while taking leave," Tarina responds to Keth. "Regarding that drink," she continues, "we'll discuss that after you've worked through our current deal."
Seeing Snap step up, she comments, "Oooh, a tiefling. I feel like my odds are improving. Regarding your question - it's probably for the best that we sit tight. You could go out looking for them, but then you don't know which way they're coming - so, you might miss them, I may end up dead, and with my life goes what you were sent to fine out. The trick to situations like these are stacking the odds. They don't know I know, so I - now, we - have time to prepare. They are headed straight here because I asked Nine Fingers to have someone 'leak' my location to them. Easier to evade an enemy if you know where they're going to be - same goes for getting the drop on them. And it's not like the whole crew is coming - they do need to leave a good chunk on board to defend the ship lest someone sail away in it."
She smiles, turns around to sit back on the chair and tells the other three seated around her, "So while we wait for old "Dead-Eye," I'll be tossing some dice with the chaps here."
// If there's anything you want to do in preparation, whether it be exploration or conversation with other patrons or among yourselves, please do so.
"You may call me Snap. Its a reasonable plan, do you have sentries posted? How will you know they have arrived? Do you mean to talk with them or just ambush them?"
"Once we are done with these guys... we take the ship too? Having our own ship would be useful." He hesitates, "Have to change the name though. Names like that make people think they can just kill us and take it."
“I fail to see how an animal can have any sense of civility or law.” Tzo-Tzo shrugs, “Regardless, I believe that it would be wise for us to shed the regalia of the Flaming Fist. The less these shiphands know of us, the better.”

Tarina responds to Snap, "How you all would like to deal with them is up to you, so long as I survive and they leave me to my peace for good - with that said, I may shoot Dead-Eye in the face the moment I see him... or maybe not - I haven't decided yet."
The woman to the right of Tarina, dressed in vestments decorated in patters of various stars, moons, and other astrological bodies, finally perks up, "You know Tarina, if these 'friends' of yours are going to come here to see you, perhaps it's just as well the game ends and I leave with what little you left me. It is beginning to sound dangerous."
"Oh, I don't know, Rahima," the half-orc called 'Whaul' says from across the table, "The Elfsong hasn't had a good bar brawl in quite some time."
The dwarf with no eyes quips, "Right, because the last time there was Skoona and Klank ended up dismembering that fella that accidentally hit Alan on a back-swing."
Everyone else at the table, Tarina included, winces as if the memory resurfaced right in front of their eyes.
After a momentary silence, Tarina perks up and says, "Well, you all do what you want - now that these fine folk are going to intervene with my old friends, I'm going to do what I do best - take your money!" She chuckles as she puts in her ante and reaches for the dice.
The other three, reluctantly, place their antes on the table and give a collective sigh.
After another round of bets, Tarina says to Keth, "It is useful to have a ship - although the gods know I'm done with the sea. With that said, just remember you have the rest of the crew to contend with. They wouldn't leave it unattended."
Tzo-Tzo removes and tucks away her pin, “Well, I believe it would be best for us to head down and prepare ourselves. I’m going to keep a watch from the roof.”

Snap asks TarIna if he can use one of the rooms with a view of the street below to keep an eye on Tzo-Tzo.
Tarina replies, "The rooms on this floor? Ain't none of them mine. I don't live here... I show up to gamble."
As Snap touches the door knob to the door adjacent to the stairwell, the halfling in the colorful cape, wine still in hand, says in an earthy voice, without looking up, "That is Alan's room - I'm sure he wouldn't want you snooping around in there."
Assuming Snap checks the remaining doors on the second floor, he finds that the door directly south of him is unlocked, as is the door along the western wall. All the other doors are locked.
When he tries the door at northeast corner of the main dining room, the scent of stale algae-filled ocean water attacks his olfactory senses, followed by a voice, punctuated by clicks and hisses, saying, "What do you want? It is not meal time yet - leave me alone."
The head of a massive umber hulk looms over the room.
Aside from the wall-mounted umber hulk head on the eastern wall, this private dining room, with a table seating twelve, seems unremarkable. There is an enclosed cabinet at the northwest corner of the room and along the southern wall there is a set of windows, nearly fifteen feet across, overlooking the street below.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Seeing the others take point, Tzo-Tzo is going to clamber up to the roof. She’ll climb up any boxes, pipes, umber hulk heads, etc. that are available to provide leverage. Perception: 17
When Tzo-Tzo walks out the door, Skoona says, "Have nice day!"
Giving a quick walk around the building Tzo-Tzo thinks she finds the path of her climb, a small alley between the tavern and the building immediately to the east of it. Using the small space to get the initial climb going, she makes short work scaling the side of the building. The building next door only has a single floor, so she's exposed as she makes the climb past the second floor.
She passes a window as she climbs, a quick glance reveals a nicely appointed, but vacant room, containing a bed with an ornate iron frame of Dwarven esthetics, a claw-footed chest, a night table, and a seemingly old wardrobe with inlaid Elven golden filigree. Splayed out on the floor in front of the wardrobe is a Calimshan rug of blue and gold hues.
As she reaches the roof, some hardened pitch and thatch comes loose and tumbles to the ground, landing on some boxes and trash in the alley below. The sun is bright above. The roof itself has a pitch to it requiring careful movement (climbing speed) while moving about, as, on top of the steep grade, there are obvious places in need of maintenance. Tzo-Tzo can easily tell that walking upright on this roof would be a bad idea.
Tzo-Tzo is going to stay squat and low, not moving much, but just enough to try to monitor the foot traffic of the crowds below. Specifically, she’s watching for anyone is is walking with a purpose, or vaguely sailor-like. She is also going to strive to stay out of anyone’s line of sight.
