Using her Dual Personalities feature, Tzo-Tzo places her mask on, becoming the indistinguishable Limbo.
Limbo steps into the home behind the figure, following stealthily: 5
Limbo enters the house. The room is about twenty feet by twenty feet. The room seems like it would have been nicely furnished - a table with a set of matching dining chairs and a couple of comfortable lounge chairs - if it weren't for the fact that most of the furniture, table included, were tossed about and upturned. There is a open door on the same side of the house that Limbo entered by at the back, she can see stairs, and what seems to be a kitchen through the door. However, Limbo's eyes are drawn to the opposite corner of the room where the young man, scared, is sitting on the floor his back to the corner. His assailant is closing but turns upon hearing Limbo bang the door upon entry. She calls out, "What do you want? Never mind. Submit to me and your sacrifice will be painless."
She turns to the cowering young man and says, "I'll be back for you." She starts towards Limbo.
"Well that is quite the selection! Just some pork bacon today, don't want to utterly ruin my diet. This body didn't make itself look like this" she has herself a chuckle at her joke before taking a more serious tone "now this bath house next door that I visiting after this, you haven't heard any rumors have you?" she very diliberatly slides a gold coin across the counter, keeping her finger on it.
Buster nods in acknowledgement and produces a piece of waxed paper and places a few strips of pork bacon jerky on to it. He wraps it up with a practiced hand and pushes it towards Dar along with nine silver pieces.
As he is preparing the bacon and change, he responds, "Next door? I have heard that they have some of the most advanced plumbing in the city. I am not one for bathhouses myself, but I know plenty of my customers tend to visit just as you are planning to... but those aren't really rumors arethey." He winks at Dar with that last part. Buster then continues, "They open at sunrise and close at sunset from what I gather, but I have seen people go in and out at night on the occasion I have to work late on a big order... Come to think about it, that is strange because the average person knows better than to be walking about here at night. Especially with the uptick in murders and kidnappings here in the district."
He then places his broad finger upon the gold piece and starts to move it towards his side of the counter.
"Oooh I do like you!" Dar releases the gold and grabs the bacon but leaves the silver, turning to the animals she uses speak with animals "And what about you cuties? any of you with useful information will be spared from our friend Buster here's ever so shiny cleaver!... how do you keep it so clean?"
"Miss, thanks for the tip, but it isn't necessary... if you insist, though, I'll donate it to The Young Beardling Fund for the Hirsutely Challenged," Buster offers as a reply.
The animals all respond among similar lines, saying things like, "Yells at night!", "Blood!", "Death!", "I'm being kidnapped!", "Help me!", and "Save us!" They then look at Buster, then back at Dar, then Buster, and back to Dar, finally all chanting, repeatedly, "Save us! When we go to the back, we never come back!"
Buster looks at Dar, a little confused at first. He then responds, "How do I keep what clean? Oh, the cleaver? Just polish and elbow grease."
"Hey," he continues, "you were talking to my animals weren't you? You started squawking like them and then suddenly they got vocal. If you are, could you tell me if they're doing all right? Do they like the food I'm giving them? I know they don't have much life left when they're brought to me, but I try to make them as comfortable as possible up until their final moments."
There's a growing clamor outside as if there was a small group of young men discussing something outside the entrance.
"they say you are quite kind to them, thanks for the bacon!" as she turns to leave she says to the animals, "His cleaver will find you all soon, in death be saved." and walks out...
Dar walks out of the butcher shop. As she does a cacophony of animal sounds seem to burst simultaneously, followed by a confused bellow of, "What the...? " muted by the shutting door. She nearly runs into a group of about four well-dressed, young men, offering a rattling off of "excuse me's" and "pardon me's" as they pause to allow her to walk past unimpeded before entering the butcher shop themselves.
Outside, Dar notices, almost immediately, Oswin partially sticking out of the alley between the bathhouse and the private residence performing a ritual, and Keth standing nearby quietly observing the goings-on of the neighborhood.
Limbo's staff and elbow attacks are absorbed by the heavy chainmail. Confident in her superiority, the kidnapper ignores her mace and goes for a straight jab to Limbo's face, saying, "I'm going to knock that mask right off your face!"
Oswin successfully completes his ritual - he now has eldritch sight. Nothing of note has transpired since Oswin began the ritual. The three of you note that Tzo-Tzo has been gone now for about ten minutes - which is longer than what you would have expected.
On the other side of the block behind the bathhouse, Limbo takes her first swing at a black-gauntleted evil-doer.
// Keth, Oswin, Dar - DC 20 perception check to perhaps catch wind of something.
Oswin finally finishes the tweaks to his bifocals. Placing them on his face, he looks around to see if they work—that is, if he sees the presence of magic around his general area.
Once he has taken some time to reorient himself, he will go looking for his compatriots.
While leaning up on the western wall of the bathhouse's courtyard and affixing his glasses, Oswin immediately senses a magical aura almost at the limit of the spell's range and its presence is somewhat muted, as if partially blocked.
After a brief look around, nothing is immediately evident regarding Tzo-Tzo's location. The street in front of them is quiet, as one would expect in a residential neighborhood at this time in the afternoon. There is an alley that extends along the western edge of the bathhouse, directly behind Oswin's chosen "hiding" spot for his ritual casting. It is not immediately evident if the alley continues to the block behind the bathhouse or stops.
Oswin determines that they should likely investigate the source of the magical aura as soon as possible.
// Two questions...
Does Oswin detect a particular school of magic that created this aura?
Does Oswin know anything about effects that could mute or block magic auras? Intelligence/Arcana if applicable: 15 //
Seeing Tzo-Tzo is no longer on the street in front, Oswin will follow the alley to see where it leads. If Keth is nearby, Oswin will ask if Keth wants to follow, since he can't see where Tzo-Tzo is.

// Two questions...

Does Oswin know anything about effects that could mute or block magic auras? Intelligence/Arcana if applicable: 15 //
// 1- Oswin can sense that there is magic, but cannot see the aura and therefore not determine its school of magic.
// 2 - Oswin surmises that the stone wall is creating interference between Oswin and the source. The fact that it's a wall only ten feet high is the only reason that Oswin can sense anything at all.
Seeing Tzo-Tzo is no longer on the street in front, Oswin will follow the alley to see where it leads. If Keth is nearby, Oswin will ask if Keth wants to follow, since he can't see where Tzo-Tzo is.
The alley expands and contracts, with blind corners, here and there as well as the occasional sewer drain. Oswin notices that the alley does continue all the way through to the other side. At a quick pace, it takes about a half minute or so to make it all the way through - a minute if you take a cautious pace.
However you choose to traverse the alley, please roll a perception check. A roll of 10 or better and you'll notice that a house across the street has its front door open and the sounds of a fight seem to be coming from there.
Oswin emerges from the alley into another street - quickly followed by Dar and Keth. Before the latter two emerge, The sounds of a fight escape from a house across the street. The door to the house is open.
Oswin hears three sets of voices: a young man crying in fear, a woman's voice aggressive and goading, and what seems to be the Tzo-Tzo's voice but as if she were trying to disguise it.
Limbo's staff and elbow attacks are absorbed by the heavy chainmail. Confident in her superiority, the kidnapper ignores her mace and goes for a straight jab to Limbo's face, saying, "I'm going to knock that mask right off your face!"
// Attack: 24 Damage: 4
Tzo-Tzo takes the jab on the mask, but then, jabs the staff toward their lower jaw!
9 for 6
But misses, again! Now, she throws another jab!
20 for 4
Limbo connects with her attacker! The armored woman takes a step back, licks the blood from her lips and says, "Finally - someone with some fight in them. I'll enjoy breaking you."
13 for...
She levels a haymaker at Limbo but misses!
Limbo steps aside, grabbing the cultist’s wrist, “You have some nerve, comparing me to a PIECE OF GARBAGE LIKE YOU!”
12 for 8, 5 for 7
The black gauntlet assailant easily dodges Limbo's attacks. She then sends a closed-fist back hand to Limbo's face...
20 for 4
The gauntlet connects with Limbo's face.
Limbo staggers back, recovering from the blow, “Good grief...that really is a hideous piece of armor. I’ll be doing you a favor when I break it... your wrist that is.”
8 fo 4
Limbo releases a flurry of hyper quick punches into the cultist! Shouting, “ZORARARARA!”
15 for 5, 17 for 5
The last blow connects after the first two miss their marks. The woman seems surprised - then the anger sets in. She pulls the mace from her belt and immediately swings for Limbo's skull!
11 for...
In her anger, though, she misses her target!
Limbo spins the staff and drives it into the face of the cultist!
11 for 4
"BUT THAT WAS JUST A FEINT," Limbo exclaims!
22 for 3
Bam! Another fist into the face of the would-be kidnapper.
Limbo bloodies the woman's nose! She yells and wildly swings the mace!
11 for...
The blood from her nose spreads across her face momentarily affecting her vision!
Limbo spins her staff and swings like a bat!
24 (crit) for 14
And for good measure sends her fist to the woman's nose!
18 for 3
The staff makes a large cracking sound as it smashes into the temple of the assailant. Stunned she does nothing to avoid the punch thrown by Limbo. She crumbles to the floor!
“Zora zora...” Limbo mutters as she wipes the blood off her fist. She turns to the captive, “Hey, are you alright?” She doesn’t sound too enthusiastic.
"I... I think so," the young man replies. He then asks, "Who are you?"
“Someone to tip the scales back into balance.“ Limbo leans over the unconscious cultist, looking to examine further.
Investigation check!.... 7
Limbo finds a small pouch with 18 silver pieces in it.
