If the wolf is still up after Gark's attack, Valentia uses her mace again, knowing that a fast creature like that wolf would be able to avoid the other options she had.
Lia is able to see the bite coming for her hand and the wolf's mouth stops in the air around her hand, repelled by an almost-solid wall of pure magic as she snatches her hand away (No damage).
Gark, set to finish the fisg aims for the beasts neck with his longsword. The wolf tries to avoid the blow, but it is too little, too late. While the blade misses most of the creature it does hit enough of the neck to sever a major vessel. With its lifeblood quickly leaving it, the last wolf falls.
"Stupid beast' Gark mutters again under his breath as he retrieves his javelin and cleans his sword. Once everything looks clear, he walks across the way to see what the pups are doing.
"So, can we take a short rest while you're trying to make friends with the wolves?" Valentia says, watching Gark from afar."I still got bit by one of them, and, while I could use the divine favor I have to heal myself quickly, I think taking this time to rest would allow me to pull on that strength when we're facing something else later."

After sheathing his sword, Gark goes to the area near where the wolf pups have been seen prior to the adults attacking them.

Most of the pups retreat further into the forest and quickly disappear from sight. However, one of them at first appears to follow them, but then stops turns around and with curiosity, but with some trepidation, approaches Gark. Perhaps it saw the party besting the older wolves as them proving they are a superior pack?
Valentia tends to her wounds wounds and Lia goes to inspect the deer carcass. Other than the obvious signs of predation, she finds nothing unusual.
Gark throws the pup a bit of meat, after he finishes, he throws another piece closer, then holds out another piece in his hand. Gark will continue feeding morsels to the pup to gain his trust as the group takes a rest.
"Looks like you have a new friend there." Lia comments, nodding to the wolf pup. "Might want to see if you can salvage any of that deer to feed to the little guy as we continue onward." She then settles down to rest a bit herself, ready to move onward when the others are.
"Good idea, I'll grab a bit, but I'll leave most of it. Those pups are gonna need all the help they can get. I'll be able to hunt and trap meat for this one."
Gark grabs the pup and heads over to the deer to cut out a fist sized hunk of its haunch, then comes back to the group.

"Yes, I believe I'm ready to continue. I think it'd be good if I remained watching as we continue." Valentia responds, standing up and going forward, hoping to stand in front once the group starts walking.
Perception24 (I'm just adding it here before it's asked.)
The wolf pup hesitates before taking the first piece of meat, then approaches it while keeping an eye on Gark eventually taking it into its mouth. The second piece of meat, there was less hesitation, but still some cautious eye contact. On the third, trusting that Gark won't outright kill it, it approaches him. It gives a surprised yip when Gark picks it up, but it doesn't struggle.
Then, at Lia's prompt, Gark carves out some meat for the young wolf leaving the rest for its siblings if they were still nearby.
After a bit of respite, the team sets out with their new furry friend in tow.
Valentia keeps on the lookout and begins to hear some stirring of nocturnal animals as day surrenders to dusk. Even in the dimming conditions, something about the trail ahead does catch her eye.
Valentia notices that the carriage tracks that Gark saw at the beginning of their trek has noticed have suddenly become more fresh, but exactly how much eludes her.
What's most surprising about the newer tracks is it's as if the caravan had been traveling one way no less than three times without backtracking. But they never seem to make it past a certain point.
(So if I'm understanding correctly, the tracks were headed in the same direction we are going, but there are three sets of tracks headed in that direction and then they end suddenly and there are no tracks past that point?)

"Probably not a bad idea to take a short rest." Lia agrees. She moves over and looks over whatever it was the wolves were eating at before.
