Peri is excited to see a path open to attack the crystalline statue, but then he sees the way Gerrard's attack send shards of glass out from the thing and thinks maybe eldritch blasts aren't such a bad idea. Nah, best stick to what you're good at! He lets out a disproportionate warcry as he drops to the floor and charges the creature, aiming to skewer its midsection. He follows with a pair of kicks at the thing's ankles in the hopes it will stumble into the pit. Spear: 23 +2 for 12 FoB #1: 16 +4 for 7 FoB #2: 13 +4 for 8
As Kei's lobs another ball of flame at the crystal construct (the flaring missile flying high and spraying the far corridor with bits of arcane fire), Peri joins Gerrard on the front lines. He manages to crack its torso with his spear, opening it up further with a solid kick. The thing is barely holding itself together now. Nevertheless, it appears to feel neither pain, fear, nor hesitation as it continues to focus on Gerrard.
Top of the round! Gerrard, Dwal and Boko may act again.

Gerrard:
Taking a ragged breath, Gerrard tries to compose himself and put together an attack. First, he strikes with his rapier in a stab at the creature's head, then suddenly lashes out with his boo, he tries to Shove the creature into the pit instead of taking his normal follow-up attack.

Boko tries to dart forward and crunch down on the statue’s ankle to do damage and also perhaps help any attacks knock the statue over onto the trapdoor.
Attack: 17 Damage: 13
If the statue does fall and doesn’t fall onto the trapdoor she would love to drag in over the door, awkwardly, like a great cat trying to lug a carcass up into a tree.
Gerrard snaps another piece of the crystal construct off, as he attempts to push it backward. Contesting strength check countering shove: 16
...but it's just too strong. The crystal minotaur holds its ground.
But not for long. Bokotiger lunges again, and this time breaks the thing neatly in two. It ceases to move of its own accord, but the bulk of its crystalline body clatters to the middle of the trap doors, which fall open. The remains fall to the bottom of the spike-filled pit and shatter loudly.
Battered but not broken, Gerrard says, “Well fought!” Turning to Dwal, he asks, “Is this flying creature an immediate threat, or is it staying outside for now? Are there people yet to save on the boat, or are they already lost?”
With a huge sigh of relief Kei jumps the acid pit and rejoins the group. "Ahh, Crankyhammer, you came to your senses" he quips as he passes Dwal. Without hesitation or checking to see how everyone fared he pushes past them and heads to the now empty hall. "So, what was so important that it had 500lbs undead hulks guarding it?" He scans the room for treasure.
So, the pit had finally been useful. With the guardians all dispatched, Peri looks over his companions. Boko and Gerrard look pretty cut up. He'd hoped they would avoid any real injury, but it seemed like no matter how much you planned, someone was bound to get hurt. "That plan took an entire tour of the Nine Hells in its handbasket. Wait, what flying creature? Where are you going?" The last addressed to Kei. "Are you two okay? You want this healing potion we found? There's liable to be somethin' else down the tunnel those things were guardin."
((Peri offers Gerrard or Boko the Potion of Greater Healing))
Kei skirts both pits as well as his companions to scope out the crystal statue room, invoking a few more Dancing Lights to see by. It's completely empty – just a bare fifty-foot-square chamber, unadorned except for some old decorative stonework built into the walls and a stain on the floor where the crystal minotaur once stood. A single corridor leads south into the gloom.
Boko shifts back to herself, the mangled tiger now a blue skinned, unharmed, serious woman. She congratulates the others on not dying in the defeat of the foes, despite the unplan.
She moves into the next room and looks for anything of note, any traps, any boons. She wants to get this finished so she can go see to the winged creature and she’s wary of Kei’s perceptive abilities.

Gerrard:
Moving into the room carefully, Gerrard follows behind the other, more perceptive ones. He looks around as well-especially for traps and such. If he finds none (and the others don't find one first) he moves to the spot where the statue was and shines the light from his glowing rapier down the new hallway.

Peri:
Peri is left holding out the potion and gawping at Boko, who only a moment ago had been a badly bloodied tiger but now looks unscathed. "Well, must be nice!" he mutters, then offers the potion to Gerrard. "Looks like you're the only one who took any real damage in that scrap. Might as well use this."
He watches the others enter the big chamber and knows he should follow, but there's that hallway Kei ran down... He knows it can't go anywhere, but still it turns south... Finally, unable to leave a stone unturned, even when it really should be, he climbs to the ceiling and stalks west down the hallway to peek around the corner. Won't be any tripwires on the ceiling, and no pits either. Stealth19 just in case there's another zombie, statue, ghost, whatever down there.
"Ah, thank you Captain Fenwader, I will hold onto it for now, though if another battle looms before we have a chance to rest, I will surely need to quaff it," says the young noble gratefully.

Neither Boko, nor Gerrard, nor anyone else, finds any traps or other areas of interest or concern.
...At least until Peri peers around the corner. It dead-ends, and the perceptive halfling can see yet another trapdoor, camouflaged carefully in the floor of the cul-de-sac.
Gerrard notes that the featureless southern hallway turns to the west.
Boko turns to the others. “Is it bad that I am content to leave the rest of whatever might be down this hallway to the… eager? That bird worries me. I have done quite a lot to help clear this place. I would like to observe the flying creature out there if I can, to discern what threat it may pose to our return.”
”If the winged creature is a threat, we should certainly check it out…We have no way right now of blocking it from the basement since we…ah…destroyed the main door on our way in,” responds Gerrard.
“On the other hand, we have to be close to clearing this place…Maybe I should just quickly check the hallway ahead—that is if no one else sees any traps that way,” he adds, clearly curious about what the creatures could have been guarding.

Peri follows the others into the large room, disappointed by its lack of... well, anything. He walks in on the discussion of their next step. "So what's this about a big bird? If it's already eatin somebody it isn't likely to come in here after us. Of course, if we get into another dust-up and are backin out, and somethin comes up behind us, that would be a real bad kinda surprise. Heck, I dunno. I've made a lotta decisions lately, and I think it could generously be called a 'mixed record,' so one of you lot can make the call this time." He peers down the hall and notes the way it doubles back in the direction of the rooms they've already cleared. "Could be it loops around and connects up on the halls we've already seen," he muses.
In a huff, Kei storms past Gerrard and down the hall. "Can't believe we've come this far and your all considering leaving when the prize is just down this hallway." With little regard for his own, or anyone's for that matter, he turns the corner at the end of the visible corridor.
