Orina & Jogs: "Yes, it's just this way, not that far at all." You begin a short trek through the forest. You spot quite a few rabbits along the way, but even with Hainsley in tow, many of them sprint away at first sight. "Oh, well, none of them are much for talking anyway, well except for...oh no, I completely forgot about- hold on maybe you two should wait-" Orina hears a rustling in the forest, it sounds like something charging you. You are prepared for any danger, but suddenly, hopping out the forest is a normal looking white rabbit. Hainsley looks mortified. "Wait, wait!" Hainsley shouts, still speaking in common. The rabbit stops in it's tracks. "Don't worry, these people are coming to help me, and to help us. You can trust them."
"And that is why they have brought you here tied and bound?" She, the rabbit, says angrily in common. She seems capable of speech, but looks nothing like Hainsley, just like an ordinary white rabbit She hops up to you. "You best have a good explanation for your trespassing before I slaughter you where you stand."
The Shady Lamppost:
Yaw & Leshanna: Rattles chats about a few things , under your guise of suggestion that his treasure in safe hands. "You know, Blackport sure is full of lots of strange and tough and mean people, or at least people who act that way to fit in. I'm strange, at least, you know? Got enough quirks to get by as the omega in a gang and get this far. Oh, looks like we're here."
You reach the Shady Lamppost. The man should be waiting for you inside, and you can barely make out his silouette through the foggy glass window.
The Rosebed:
Zachrias: You head up some stairs to the second floor, where a balcony over looks the first. Edgar is sitting at a booth near the back with a small window, he sees the two of you aproach, and for a brief second it seems some dissapointment flashes across his face, your not sure if it's for you or Areyo, which quickly blends in to his regularly solemn expression. The halfling across from him, however, has a tacked on toothy grin that puts you at unease, along with a dark black suit and hat. "Glad to see you made it. Here, take a seat, we've much to discuss." Areyo takes a seat next to the halfling, trying not to look him in the eye.
"Oh, doctor, you're not one to work with this type much? Had a change of heart? " He asks him crooked with a clear crooked voice.
Dr. Winter ignores him. "Let's get introductions out of the way, whatever you feel like sharing. You go first, newbie."
Although Orina's very first reaction is to want to squeak in delight at the absolute adorableness of the white rabbit who approaches them, she actually does realize after meeting Hainsly that a rabbit speaking common and threatening to tear them limb from limb is probably an enchanted creature that could very well make good on its threat, and chooses the path of diplomacy instead.
"Oh, I'm so sorry about that," she apologizes to the rabbit. "I'm Orina, and this is my friend Jogs," she says, pointing to the dragonborn. "We were actually hired by the local farmers to take care of whatever it was that had been stealing the crops and scaring the livestock out in the fields, but when we met Hainsly we realized there was something bigger going on than marauding wildlife! Violence didn't seem like the right answer to us, and Hainsly himself wanted us to come here and help you guys out too. He warned us to keep a tight hold of him, though, because he has poor impulse control right now and said he might try to run against his will. I know it looks bad, but really, we're all in mutual agreement about this," she tells the white rabbit apologetically. "Can I ask who you are, and about the problems you and your warren were having?"
Leshanna pulls Rattles on inside, moving up to the table where the man is waiting. "Here is the quarry you sent me after." She announces as she moves Rattles in front of the table. "This one is Yaw, a person of interest I came across in the swamp." She nods to Yaw.
Noldeme: "Unfortunately, he has already fled the mountain, however, he is more useful to you alive; listen closely: Tell him that you killed the druid, that he was right, and appeal to join him. It will be difficult to take on your task alone. He will get what's coming to him in due time. He is clearly a man of the sea, I imagine his ship is sure to be docked at Greenport."
Noldeme thinks for a second before replying. "I can bet he might not be so passive and will probably have suspicion on what I tell him, but I believe I can do that. I don't know why I have to pick him for help out of every person on the docks, but if you say so, I'll at least give it a try." Feeling safe due to the lack of a visible threat, focusing on the longbow on her hand for a second before making it disappear, the Aasimar, then, starts heading back towards the town.
Ulrich looks for a chimney or some ornamentation on the roof of the house to lasso with a rope. He also judges if one rope will be enough or will they need to tie two together.
Zacharias smiles, though it is an effort because of how uncomfortable he suddenly feels. As he speaks, he tends to look more at the friendly dragonborn than the doctor or the new halfling. "Greetings in the name of Ilmater. I am Zacharias. As I told ... Dr. Winter, I've only been in Resolve a little more than a tenday. I'm a missionary from the compound half a day's journey northwest. I've been training for years to leave my home and come to Resolve to serve. Ilmater lead me here, and I'm pleased to do whatever I can to help. I thought I was going to work alone, but the doctor explained that I will be able to do more as a member of Rosebush. That's what brings me here."
Orina & Jogs: The rabbit thinks briefly. "Hmm, in most other cases, I would chase you off, however, if Hainsley has indeed considered you to help, and being attuned to the forest as you are, I suppose I will have to make an exception. Hainsley is one to run off and cause trickery at times, I could perhaps understand now why you have him tied, but there is no need for that now. If he misbehaves, I shall discipline him. But, if you are here to help, I shall tell you of our hardships in recent times. "
"I am Beau, I was tasked with sole responsibilty of protecting the warren from Invaders, which have become increasingly commo, especially as winter is nearing it's end. Normally, I can deal with a fox, or even a stray wolf every now and then, but what's worse now is that creatures like you have been becoming worringly common, and have desired to dig up our warren. These are skilled fighters, and wizards, who I can handle, but only so much at a time. However, around the same time as these occurances, we were lucky enough to have Hainsley show up. He is suprisingly adept at dealing with these two-legged intruders, deceiving them and leading them into traps."
"Naturally." boasts Hainsley "They key is to act like you're being tricked, then turn that against them...and little bit of my strange abilities help. Also, it's good fun too."
She continues. "However, it may only be a matter of time before someone comes along who we can not deceive or fight off. This thing beneath our warren needs to go, one way or another. We have successfully dug a tunnel down to the entrance of where this thing should be; I believe the intruders called it a 'Donjon'. I was preparing to face it's dangers on my own, but to lose my life to a task I have not the slightest clue of facing, let alone completing, would be foolish if that intruder never comes. So, I leave it to you, if you find some way to best the dungeon so we can be left alone, you would have my deepest gratitude."
ShadyLamppost:
Yaw & Leshanna: "Well Well! Seems like you've done a good job with the dirty work! HO! HO!" he chuckles, looking at how Rattles is covered from head to toe in dried mud. "I'll not pay the both of you, if he really helped you, split it yourself." He tosses a heavy coin purse, with 450GP and a heavy black coin with the face of a dragon stamped on it. "In there is a Black Chip, congatulations, once you turn that it, you'll offically be a Black Dragon. There's a good smith right down the road who'll exchange it, and you'll get your real prize, tell em' Nick sent you. Now, if you'll excuse, me, I'll have to give this one a quick 'bath' before I get some answers out of him; you're free to go on your way. If I need you for work again, I'll holler."
Rattles nods to Yaw. "Well, seems this is where we part ways. So long." He gives a rattley wave goodbye with his tied hands. 500 XP to Leshanna, 250 XP to Yaw.
Greenport:
Noldeme: You head back down the mountain. The sun begins to shine again, although it is getting late. You are back at Greenport, legs aching slightly from your trek. Your patron speaks again "Good, you have found the weapon. I hope you will make good use of it. You will have no need for my instruction for now, as long as you use the weapon for good, and act as a protector, I will be satisfied. If I have another task for you, I will contact you, but for now, destiny shall lead you. Your soul will become stronger than other." You can feel the link in your mind slowly fading, if there's anything you wish to say to them, speak now.
Rafon's Run settlement:
Ulrich: There is plenty of roof architecture to lasso onto, a smoking chimney on top of the mansion that should be a perfect target. Although only one rope will reach the distance, you will still need quite the throw to make it all the way across. Make a strength based attack roll with the lasso, but since you lack a proficiency in some sort of cowboy skill (Survival, Athletics, Animal Handling, maybe performance with the right field.) that would deem you be skilled at throwing it, do not add profciency.
The Rosebed:
Zachrias: Dr. Winter says. "Yes, you know me already, but you can call me Edgar, if you like. We're all pretty friendly around here."
Areyo says "Well, you know me too, but I feel like we're forgetting something, what's his S-" Dr. Winter interuppts, tapping his nose. "Ah-We'll get there when we get there, he doesn't know about that yet. Best to let it come naturally, you know Rose wants it that way. Anyway, carry on." Areyo continues. "Fine, fine, right, I got it. Anyway, I'm the muscle around here, and I act like it too. I'm the nicest of this bunch of nuts though, espescially compared to this one."
"Hello." says the halfling. "Are you any good at chess or cards, it's been a while since I've had some good competition." Areyo slaps the hat down on his head, and it get's stuck covering his eyes. "Don't be playing your tricks on the newbie, we need his help dummy." He pulls the hat off. "Right, sorry sorry, force of habit. I'm Connor, but everyone just calls me Con, and rightfully so. I keep things in order behind the scenes, and that's all you need to know."
"Riiiiight, anyway." says Dr. Winter, somewhat annoyed. "Anyway, I think's it about time we get explain to Zach here what exactly the plan is, we'll make it quick. Zach, unless you have questions, or something you would like to add, we can get started."
Yaw: Nick says"Simple, really, he burgled the place and assaulted one of my men. I need him to tell me where his gang is so they don't cause any more trouble. Need I say more?"
Orina leans down to release the leash from Hainsly's neck, freeing the hare. "A dungeon?" She frowns. "A dungeon is to adventurers what a pot of honey is to a very hungry bear right after winter hibernation ends," she agrees. "Anything standing between the two is going to be in trouble for sure! I'm not sure that clearing it out will stop the influx of visitors looking to plunder it unless we can get the word out that there's nothing left down there anymore. We definitely have to try, though," she tells Beau.
"What do you think, Jogs? It might not bring us a lot of money, but I really feel like we should help this bunny!"
Zacharias begins to feel a little more at ease as the other speak. "It's Zacharias, actually," the paladin says to Edgar apologetically. "It's nice to meet you, Connor. I'm afraid I don't play cards or ... chess, was it? I don't believe we had those games in the compound." He smiles warmly, looking a little proud of himself. "Now, if you have time for a couple rounds of Ilmater's Cords, I'm always willing to join in." Becoming somewhat serious again, he continues, "I, er, well, you mentioned someone named Rose. Who is she?" After they answer, he continues, "I noticed someone downstairs who looked a lot like someone else who left the compound a number of years ago named Jacob. Do you know who I mean?" After they answer that question, Zacharias is ready to hear the rest of what they have to say.
"I am headed to the smith." Leshanna informs Yaw with a nod. "You may accompany me or go your own way." She then turns and heads out, seeking out this smith that was just down the road.b
Blackport - Yaw: I freeze at the words Black Dragon "On second thought, I'd better stick around to make sure Rattles doesn't get in to any more trouble."
This land seems to be teeming with dragons! Who knows what this character is capable of.
Feeling a lump of fear in my throat, I eye Nick suspiciously. "You're welcome to question him... civilly... but I'm not leaving here without Rattles, Dragon!"
I slam my fist down on the table to drive home the point.

Noldeme keeps quiet, and simply hears the voice, if out of fear or out of anger, she didn't know, it may also be that she didn't want to reveal what she discovered from the other voice she heard, and she thought slip-ups might happen if she tried a conversation. Once the voice is gone, she heads to the docks, trying to see if she finds the familiar face of the man who tried to kill Pua'a.
"Illmater's Cords, you say? I've not heard of that one, you'll have teach me." Connor says.
Areyo answers the first question. "Rose? Well, if by the name isn't obvious enough, she's the leader of Rosebush. She makes all the rules on what we can and can't do, manages power structure, and most of all, is the face of Rosebush as a whole. Without her, I doubt Resolve would still be standing. She's currently making plans for the big showcase match they're having at Corvidae in a few weeks, hoping to earn money to fund our efforts, same as everyone else really. I'm sure she would be delighted to meet you."
Edgar replies to the next question. "Jacob? You recognize him? He's been a regular since way back, that guy really used to be religous? He does work for Rosebush every now and again, but tends to blow what payment he gets for frequent vacations. However, he get's pretty high praise for his work, and will come help when called, so two sides to every coin I guess."
Connor speaks up. "Alright everyone, the plan is coming together, now, listen and listen closely, it's time to conspire." Suddenly, you almost feel as if the place has gone quiet, and all that's there the four of you around a table in a dark room, lit only by a bright white lamp from the ceiling. A map is unfurled on the table, and Connor dumps out what looks to be several playing pieces from various board games, and begins to divulge. It's almost ominous, you feel like you can hear music that fits the scene. "Our first piece here, was gotten after you retrieved those demon parts for me, which did indeed reveal;" He pulls forth a black rook, and places it on the map. "That there is someone summoning these demons for an unknown purpose. I have deduced, based on the regularity of the sightings, that it is indeed a single warlock who is responsible, at least for the casting of the spell; Two occurances, if occuring within an hour of each other, another occurance will not happen for around another hour, precisely the amount of time a warlock would need to to recover his magic. However, even better information has arised, for the demon you brought back had something strange with them, they had in it's mouth, silver pieces, and only silver pieces. Some demons we've slain have also dropped bags of coin they had taken, or handfuls of silver; Now, Zacharias, would you perhaps be able to explain why that is troubling to hear?"
Corvidae Forest Rabbit Warren:
Orina & Jogs: "However, like I said, we rabbits have dug a tunnel down. Even a halfling would need to squeeze through, we cannot widen the tunnel without damaging our warren. Unless you found some magic to knock your size down a peg, I'm afraid reaching it will be an impossibility. Surely, if you are willing to go through the trouble of a dungeon, then finding the way a way in should be the least of your problems."
Blackport:
Yaw: You pound the table, hard. The rest of the tavern goes quiet, but Nick looks unfazed, and somewhat angered, but not at you "Patrons, if you would please put your weapons down, there's no need for violence here, I'll handle this!" Just about everyone had some sort of weapon pointed at your head. "I am a much more patient man then I was, please, let me hear your reasoning. I have respect for a man willing to defend another's honor, but if you act up again, I will shoot the shirt off your back."
Leshanna: You head to the smith down the road. The shop has quite a bit of iron bars around the window and door, and when you head inside, you see quite the sight. Guns, of all sorts, at least a hundred line the walls in locked cases, these are the handcrafted weapons of a Black Dragon. A gnome sits behind more iron bars, tinkering with something, you can probably take a guess at what it might be. "Oh, a customer, I hope!" His fingers are completely coated with black, and he doesn't even bother wiping them down. Your not sure if he has black hair, or that much powder has dyed it. He doesn't even look up at you before saying: "Never seen you before, I'll get back to you when I'm finished, you probably can't afford these anyway."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Greenport:
Noldeme wants to play to her strengths, she's trying to ask people about the man, making the best job she can at describing him when asked. Although, she'll always keep a lookout with her eyes around to see if she can spot him herself.
Charisma Check: 25 (Not sure what kind of charisma check this would be. Either straight roll or persuasion, which I don't have proficiency with, so it doesn't matter.)
Noldeme: You look across the docks, describing the man to someone. "You mean the guy with white eye, tricorne hat, and weird ravens? How could you miss him, that's Captain Deadeye, that's his ship right over there." They point a ship at the docks, and as you look at it, you can see him looking out from a window in the captain's quarters.
Zacharias's head jerks up as his name is spoken. He looks at Connor, then Edgar, then Areyo before looking back at Connor. "Er ..." He looks down at the map, but he isn't looking at the map; he's thinking back to anything he might have read which is related. "Silver —" he says, drawing out the word. "Silver ... is harmful ... to demons?" he asks.

Yaw: Nick says"Simple, really, he burgled the place and assaulted one of my men. I need him to tell me where his gang is so they don't cause any more trouble. Need I say more?"

Orina and Jogs | Cordivae Forest, Rabbit Warren
Blackport...

“I’m in, let’s go!”

The Rosebed:
Zacharias:

Noldeme wants to play to her strengths, she's trying to ask people about the man, making the best job she can at describing him when asked. Although, she'll always keep a lookout with her eyes around to see if she can spot him herself.
