"Yes, yeah im fine." Nae looks the woman up and down "Are you? you look, well, rough after that. I think we should find somewhere to stay, i can try to fix you up there" Nae looks contemplative for a moment and then laughs at herself "Oh right, I am Nae by the way, Nae Amethyst. Thank you very much for, well, probably saving my life." Nae gives a bright smile "What would your name be?" Nae reaches her hand out to the woman
Nae has long silver hair that is presently a mess, some leather armor with a soft lavender undershirt, both of which look like they've seen better days with bandages on her arms from wounds the have since healed. though the most noteable thing about the drow is her eyes. One is a soft green and the other is a cold winter blue
Orina and Jogs | Outer Cordivae / Rosebush “I think we’ll be leaving shortly, actually. I’M Jogs,” says Jogs and introduces the rest of the crew. “I’m afraid we don’t know when we’ll be back; we just secured a mage to help us investigate an issue at Magullicksons farm... what’s your interest? And you are...?”
Zacharias smiles. "My best round?" He rides for a bit, thinking. Finally, he says, "Well, I don't know if it was my best round, but there was one time I was playing with Meremoth and Jedaiah. And I think Rehum was there." He pauses, then continues, "Anyway, Jedaiah was the burden. He was pretty famous for making it difficult on those he bound. I remember one time, when he was the burden, it took the players more than two hours for one to free himself. They all got in trouble for missing morning prayers," he chuckles. "So, this time, Meremoth and I were ready for a possible long game, so we waited until just after prayers just in case. Well, what Meremoth didn't know, and I didn't expect, was that Jedaiah remembered I had helped him repair one of the pig fences a couple tendays prior when it wasn't my day, and Jedaiah decided to pay back the favor with the game. Neither Meremoth nor I knew it, but he did one of his famously difficult bindings on Meremoth while tying a deceptively simple one on me. It wasn't so simple that I got out of it immediately, but I was able to get out of it in a reasonable time while Meremoth was still hardly making any progress." He laughs. "The look on Meremoth's face when I presented my free hands was well worth slogging through the rain and mud to fix that fence." He laughs again. "I'm not sure he ever figured out I had help."
Noldeme doesn't look any different from a human. She has brown hair braided around her back, her skin is pale despite living in a coastal town, which is enough of a sign that she might not be from there. She isn't wearing any armor, there's just this strange aura surrounding her that probably comes from a spell that is protecting her. The longbow she used at the start of the fight is nowhere to be seen, in her person the only weapons were the handaxe that finished the creature, a pair of daggers and a crossbow.
She sighs relieved to hear Nae saying she's okay and also looking at her more close up to see the creature probably didn't do a lot more than pose a threat to her. "My name is Noldeme Caskmaw, I go just by Noldeme. I'm glad you're okay... If we had to rely on the town guards, I'm sure they'd be too late, so I'm glad I found the worm just in time. Any idea what we should do with the remaining of its body?" She points to the creature's rests, now cut in two different parts on the ground.
"Pleasure to meet you Noldeme. I apparently have the ability to blast things so, maybe i could blast its corpse? I... dont really know if that would work, its still kind of new to me..." Nae looks at her hand with curiosity then whispers to herself "Favor for a favor.... so what is the favor?" Nae looks up again at Noldeme "You hungry? I sure am, i wanna grab some grub. Plus i need somewhere to stay the night. Do you know where the nearest Inn is? I could fix you up there if you needed... Well i can try to fix you up, i dont really know if I would really be able to..." Nae rubs the back of her neck with a nervous smile

Orina rubs her eyes and yawns, letting Jogs do the talking; it feels much too early to be making small talk, and all she wants is to know why this fellow is bothering them this early in the morning. She casts a quick guidance on herself to clear her head, then takes a closer look at the man, inspecting him and trying to judge his intentions. What the heck does he want with us? We're new here! Why would anyone be asking after the greenest members of the guild?
Noldeme shrugs before she replies to Nae. "I dunno. I was just trying to help, you don't need to give me anything back. I'm gonna rest in bed and all these cuts will be gone either way. As for whether I know of an inn around, the answer is, I do. I live around here, so I can even show you my favorite place to drink and rest. You, on the other hand, don't seem to be from here, do you? Where do you hail from?"
Ulrich: Make an Athletics or Acrobatics check. Also, immediately afterward, roll for initiative.
Blackport:
Yaw: Rattles says, half afraid but half relieved "Well, alright, let's get going then. You lead the way, and I'll keep an eye out for dangers, I've treked through the swamp a couple times, so I've picked up on a few things."
Leshanna: "Perhaps I misjudged you, you certainly look like an assassin, but I suppose plenty of people do. However, justice is a flexible term, anyone can convince anyone they've been wronged by someone else; suspend your suspicions for a moment, and let's take a step back. Fine, I want him brought back alive to prove he is the man he is, if you really want to make things difficult. He is a Caretaker, as well as the Duke of Corvidae, and every Caretaker is also an invisible soldier that works to keep their idea peace and further their own goals. Naturally, something done in their intrests has come into conflict with mine, and it has been done by his hand. Does that sway you?"
Resolve:
Xamodas: a modest looking man replies: "It is that way, just nearby is a large tavern known as The Rosebed; if you are lucky, the man you are looking for was stopped in his foolishness, and is most likely there. If not, then may heaven grant you fortune, hopefully he has not made it far and you may catch him."
Rosebush Tent:
Orina & Jogs: "I'm sorry, call me Dr. Winter, you see, I've been tasked with finding a mage myself, I was hoping to borrow yours sometime in the future. Important Rosebush buisness." Orina can kind of tell that there's some awkward reasoning he is holding back, it's pretty easy to see a cracks in his expression. he talks to GrrGrrFrr "You see, a friend of mine would very much like to...spar with you a bit. We'll pay some good money too."
GrrGrrFrr responds. "No need money, spar bad, only good magic."
Greenport:
Noldeme & Nae: You converse with each other. For whatever reason, there is a strange sense of familiarity between the two of you. You are starled for a brief moment by a growling, thinking that something else is lurking in the night, but it turns out the only thing growling is your stomachs.
Road to Corvidae:
Zacharias: "A game of trust as well as trickey, a grand look into what this game has to offer. Not just about how well you can untie yourself, but how well the burden wants to tie you. Like any proper game, won before it has began, and out of a good deed. I have heard your story, and enjoyed it, so as promised I shall tell you my story and share a secret.
You see, Rosebush has a major goal of chatising those who abuse power at the expense of those they consider below them. They are quite easy to goad into a wager, especially when you are half their size and literally below them, and even more so at parlor games nobles like to spend their time playing. A nobleman, let's just call him Dast, was up to no good, so, Rosebush was called to intervene, but they could not find anything, so that's when I was called. I challenged him to a simple round of any game of his choosing, which of course, he chooses Dragonchess, I had already insulted his intellect a bit earlier, so naturally he wanted to best me in a battle of wits., the wager being that losing would mean admitting to his crimes, and a steep asset taken away from Rosebush if we lost.
However, he didn't account for something: Believe it or not, I can decide upon an outcome I want, and I will know the certain specifications to make this event come to pass. Neither, did he expect, when I flaunted this to him, and then proved myself on the next move. However, he caught on that I only knew what I needed to take, and which I needed to keep, and used that to his advantage, and bested me squarely. Thus, an asset lost, and my dignity put to shame.
It was all worth it in the end when he put away his winnings without realizing that the very same safe he put it in had all the money he embezzled and stole from others. I wish I could see the look on his face when he saw that all was left in there the next day was a note that read 'Checkmate'."
Orina leans over to Jogs, still grumpy from the early morning and unrestful sleep, and whispers to her "He's holding something back. Don't let this guy walk all over our new friend just because he's a mage!" She slaps Jogs on the back with another guidance to make sure the woman's awake, before turning squinty eyes onto Dr. Winter.
"Hey now! GrrGrrFrr is even newer than we are. We don't initiate fresh members of the guild by sending them to get beat up for Light-knows-whatever you're planning!" She squints even more, trying to look stern, though probably failing. "Are you... are you talking about hazing him? Oh my gosh, that's so mean! You'd better come clean about what this is really about, or we're not looking back when we leave!" She sidles closer to GrrGrrFrr's side, looming over him protectively.
Xamodas nods in thanks and hands the man a silver piece.
"Thank you for your well wishes, sir," his speech is careful and polite - carefully exercising how he was taught to speak to the elders at the creche. He hands the man a silver piece for his courtesy and follows the directions given. No remark on my race. I suppose they must have many different peoples pass through here. I'm likely not even the first githyanki this man has met.
He is looking for two things as he moves - a clear entrance of some sort. Perhaps there is a regulated, guarded post? Failing that, he looks for the Rosebud Tavern, unsure of what to expect in that regard as well. Perhaps a sign? Or a crowd? The tavern closest to the tower must be able to tell me how to get in.

"I have no qualms about killing those who deserve it." Leshanna speaks up. "If this man has wronged you, and is at fault, then I may take your contract." She says with a shrug. "I will have to check with my sources to find out more about the man in question, before I agree to such a contract though. If you wish me to take it, then that is my terms. Allow me time to investigate this man, and, if he is what you say him to be, and I determine taking this contract in my best interest, then I will meet you and accept the contract. If I find out different, or decide it is not going to be good for me in the long term, then I will not do so."

They stride along with soft brown leather boots alongside pants and a good leather belt, carrying a backpack with three notebooks made of fine-leather as well three quills, alongside some traveling equipment. They try to listen to every side of an argument before making their case, and doesn't make a matter out of showing renown of himself. As a mere teenager himself, he will still see enjoyment in entertainment and so on.
Backstory—
As a young child, he grew with his father, a good sage within Faksimile, and his mother. Life had always been above the social norms as he always wanted to reach his father's expectations. Life has fair on him during his child years, however, once had reached the age of 6, signs of magical inheritance made itself known. A pulse of blue light came from Dordis as he slept, and it was then that his mother and father had an argument while young Dordis drifted to the night.
On the next day, his mother seemingly disappeared, and he could not recall any knowledge of what happened that day. Life continued, and the magic outbursts became regular during Dordis' study and out of nowhere. He grew to get used to it, and found a way to control it years after. At the age of 14, Dordis was accepted into Glanyrafon's wizard college due to his father's works as a known researcher, his hard-working attitude with strong resolve, and his innate magical abilities. Once he was accepted, he studied more of distant cultures and the history of Corvidae and Faksimile. He had gotten used to his magic by then, and used it to his and others aid. He met someone named Soltris Arcuswalker who taught him how to harness his magic and promised to find out the details of Dordis' innate magic. His father continued to support Dordis and was proud of his accomplishments within the college. It was by the age of 17 when the magic began to become stronger, and sigils of blue had formed in his study while he practiced his magic. Dordis went out to find Soltris, when he realized that he was still away in a caravan heading to Corvidae. He waited for a week, until word came by that Soltris was lost in a caravan ransacked by bandits. Being saddened, but hopeful, he asked his father if he could travel to Corvidae, and was accepted. He prepared all of his belongings as well as a note sent from Soltris during his caravan's travels, and made his way to a nearby freelance wagon-rider, and left for Corvidae.
On the road to Corvidae, it was relatively uneventful for Dordis, almost as if a force was giving him luck on his travel. He made it only a few days away from Corvidae when the wagon-rider stated that he had little food for the oxen left. He left the wagon and continued onfoot. He makes it to the outskirts of Corvidae, writing and drawing the wildlife and fauna of Corvidae, and sits down on a nearby tree, clearing away any rocks or dirt. He thinks of what may transpire and what he hopes to find in Corvidae, but can only be certain of what will come of him.
As soon as she sees Orina protecting GrrGrrFrr, Jogs is on her feet, hammer and shield in hand. She marches up to Winter and breathes hot sulphuric air in his eyes until he relents.
Rattles and I nervously make our way toward the swamp as I play a cheery tune in an attempt to lighten the mood.
“You know Rattles, we have near three weeks to accomplish our task and pay off your bounty.”
Tapping the place where Rattle’s key rests around my neck I ask, “though I do love a good mystery, I’m awfully curious to learn where this key might lead before I turn in to dragon chow! What do you say to a little detour?”
”I also notice you don’t carry much on your person in way of defending yourself. Have you got any tricks up your sleeve?” I rattle my hand at him, mimicking the way he often does.

Orina & Jogs: "Right then." says winter, eyes watering as you approach, and he begins backing away. "Right, honestly, you wouldn't understand it if I explained it to you anyway, so I'll just be on my way. I'm sure we'll have a more proper introduction later. Good luck on your quest." He backs out of his tent.
"Aye, that was one of the higher ranking members, you know, but it's not like they can push you around." Tebit explains. "I imagine it's not super urgent if he isn't forcing the issue, but he might swing back around if he doesn't find whatever he's looking for. Something specific about needing a wizard for a fistfight? Not sure what that was about."
Resolve:
Xamodas: You make a brisk pace toward the tower. Before long, you see The Rosebed, and not far from it, you see a massive set of closed double doors leading into The Tower. There is only a single person sitting near the door. It is just beyond a grassy clearing that seperates Resolve from The Tower. It's possible that this isn't the only entrance, but it is certainly the most grand.
Blackport:
Leshanna: "Very well." says the man. "If that is what you wish. You will find that opinons vary from person to person, but if you decide against it, I'm sure someone else will be more than willing to take the job."
Blackport -> Blackpowder Swamp:
Yaw: "Oh, yeah that, thing. Well, beforehand, you see, I caught a lead on where it might have been, if you look at the bits of the tubular key, you'll see that it has five markings. I found simalar markings on some trees nearby, and it led me to this temple, which I accidentally got me dragged into a cult, and then dragged through a swamp. Here, see:" He rubs some of th mud off of his cloak, revealing a symbol that looks like a circle with five line coming from it. The bits of the key do actually look strikingly similar. "We could try go back there, that bounty hunter did take of the cult, but we got chased out by some horrid creature. Pick your poison, I guess. Whatever that key unlocks is sure to be good."
"Oh, I got a few tricks up my sleeve, sure. I can uh, spray poison from my hands, and I do oddly well around snakes. Probably why I'm not super scared about walking through swamps. I must have a weird family tree or something. Apart from that, I can't do much else, I don't think, but who knows, I might get some more magic eventually. Also, yeah when I shake my hand, give it a listen." He moves his hand back and forth vert quickly, and it sounds identical to that of a rattlesnake.
Outer Corvidae:
Dordis: Moonlight filters through the light of the trees. You've finished drawing a small flower by your feet. You've been walking quiet a way, perhaps you should just rest your eyes here until the sun rises, or maybe you should go looking for a more secure spot to rest at a nearby farm, earning a bed from the hospitality of others. What do you do?
Rafon's Run Settlement:
Ulrich: You find it difficult to make any progres, a hand slipping immediately. You take some time to set your get your grip back. You see, from the mansion's chimney, a bubose laden hand and face begins to crawl out, it's skin sallow and dripping. John and Dula take draw thier weapons!
John and Dula: 12
Rutterkin: 9
((John and Dula will go before you just to save some time))
The creature emerges from the chimney, but it is not within reach to attack john or dula!
John Swings his morningstar at the creature! Attack: 25 Damage: 12
Dula sends forth a holy fire 52 The creature swats it from the air.
They are both precariously close to the edge and the creature blocks their path to higher ground!
Leshanna leaves the inn and goes back to where the Black Dragon leader was before. She will walk up to the man who hired her to find Rattles, or one of the others that seem to have been around during that meeting and might know the man's location. Once she finds him she will ask him...
"What do you know about the Duke of Corvidae?" She asks with a directness that most find disconcerting. She fills the man in on her new potential client and tries to learn more about this duke.
Yaw: "Well, to be honest, I'm not particularly fond of jumping back into the dragon's lair quite yet. Let's take a field trip! I'm just happy to be back in the swamp away from all of that ruckus in the city. Where did you say that temple was? Maybe that creature has gone! You've got to admit its worth a look. While you were in that cult did you get any indication as to what it might open?"
I make a fist and shake my hand along with him, "Mine doesn't do that but I have a few tricks myself.." [Tooltip Not Found] I lift a perfect orb of water up from the swamp, levitating it above my hand for a moment before freezing it, allowing the ball to fall into my palm. I hold the ball of frozen water out to Rattles. "We make quite a team."
We make our way in the direction of the temple.

Completely unguarded, eh? Perhaps good sense is enough to keep people away.
He takes a moment to take stock of his possessions. Perhaps not as well-equipped as I would like, but I am certain I can scavenge greater armor from the less competent who have fallen inside. Every moment I waste is another moment that my birthright might be stolen from me.
Keeping an eye on the individual loitering on the stairs, he steels himself and pushes through the doors.

Zacharias is quiet during Connor's speech. At its conclusion, the halfling perhaps expects a look of surprise or humor, but Zacharias continues to study the road, his face impassive. Finally, the human says, "I thank you for your story. Your candor is appreciated. Is everyone in Rosebush so ... cunning? Is thievery something that will be expected of me? I understand your intentions were ... noble. But a thief, you still are."

Orina and Jogs | Outer Cordivae / Rosebush

Blackport...
Howdy! I was looking to take part of the Tower of Heaven! If needed, I'll have my full character's contents be shared through a private message, otherwise—

Orina and Jogs | Outer Cordivae / Rosebush
As soon as she sees Orina protecting GrrGrrFrr, Jogs is on her feet, hammer and shield in hand. She marches up to Winter and breathes hot sulphuric air in his eyes until he relents.
Blackport - Yaw:
Yaw - Genasi, Bard (3), College of Lore - Tower of Heaven
Rosebush Tent:
Blackport -> Blackpowder Swamp:
Dula sends forth a holy fire 5 2 The creature swats it from the air.
They are both precariously close to the edge and the creature blocks their path to higher ground!

Blackport...
Blackport -> Blackpowder Swamp:
Yaw - Genasi, Bard (3), College of Lore - Tower of Heaven
Xamodas
