“Then the wind was on my side.” Mikal responded as he watches how the colorful dowel gets inserted. As they are driving Mikal is not sure if it’s indeed the bad traffic or that his driver is rather reckless, for now he is trying to hold on to something in the wagon. The moment the music is turned on, Mikal doesn’t believe what he is hearing. First the wagon can somehow ride, now it also plays music! “A Bu.. Bujow? Is that the device that plays music?” He asks. “It has been a long time since I heard some good music. I’ll bet it’s pretty expensive for a normal sailor like myself. I’ll have to look for work first, before I'm able to buy such a device.”

Orina and Jogs(Bunny Batallion) | Rabbit Warren Dungeon / Trial of ???
Even though she's struggling, one thing Orina can see clearly is that their hare friend is doing worse.
"Check H-Hainsley!" she sputters.
(If the wave of heat and noise was a one-off, Orina will check if anyone, including herself, requires healing. If this is an ongoing process with no end in sight, Orina is going to just go for ramming the medium door to open it back up again.)

Orina and Jogs(Bunny Batallion) | Rabbit Warren Dungeon / Trial of ???
Jogs drags Hainsley over to Orina so she can check on him. She looks to see how Grr is doing (is he back in the other room or with us?) then runs to the door to start hammering it, hoping to either bust it open or at least make a lot of noise (if Grr is on the other side and can open it). She tosses her shield on the ground and takes the hammer in both hands (Versatile)
Xamodas: You manage to carefully navigate, ever so further. From those steps, combined with the stress of navigating this hall, you must have lost 10 pounds from exertion. You manage to keep your mage hand illuminating the hall, finally, you start to see a doorway, with steps leading up, and a statue of a woman with a chest in her hands, just barely illuminated by the light. However, just as you get hope, a particullarly nasty trap comes down to crush you, but you dodge out of the way in time, into the next trap! ( Keeping making those Dex saves, 9 or below fails, 10 & 11 dodge but move back and trigger previous trap, 12 & 13 dodge but move and trigger next trap, 14 and above Saves and return to acrobatics.)

You feel like your entire body is being stretched out of proportion, the entire room warps into a different shape! 6 points of fire/bludgeoning damage, half on success (16 to pass) You hear a snapping noise from Hainsley, and he falls to the ground.
You pound on the door, and the heat and grinding stops. Your head is pounding, and you take a look around, the room changed, the blocks are now slightly taller than they are wide. The door opens. "Spun knobs, what-" Grr is taken aback...you all look disfigured, but it is slowly fading. "Ah! sorry! Sorry! I'm so sorry! I meffted up!" Grr buries his hands into his face.
You see that the light shining from the aperture is still being blocked by the block, but the light is now a vertical beam taller than it is wide. It seems, by changing the aperture, it changed the blocks as well. +300 XP for puzzle progress and surviving a trap, and +200 XP becuase I probably should have gave you some a long time ago for other stuff. The doctor just decides to blend into the background. "Well, you go and do that then. If you want help actually look for the Warlock, just let me know when you get on that."
Areyo cuts a glance at him, then continues "I'm willing to hear out your ideas first, anything in that notebook of yours?"

There will be many unforseen consequences, but I do know, but I do not think you will have any chance at salvation, you will have to find your reward through your life rather than in your death. Are you sure of this?"
"I better go and check that out." Leshanna says with a sigh. Leshanna climbs down from the top of the coach and heads off towards the sound of the scream.
Orina and Jogs(Bunny Batallion) | Rabbit Warren Dungeon / Trial of ???
Orina hisses as the burns on her skin rub and chafe against her metal armor, but her panic at the sight of Hainsley's unmoving form overrides the pain. Clasping her hands together, she begins to pray to the Light over the hare's unmoving body.
"Lord of Light, dull the pain with your mercy. Blur the sharp edge with the rememberance that from times of trial can come growth. Help us to appreciate that in the aftermath of sorrow, joy tastes all the sweeter. Let us look forward to better times, knowing that we can endure anything with Your strength by our sides."
As she prays desperately, you can sense her Channeling the Divinity of her god through her unwavering faith. Her prayer seems to almost set Hainsley's body aglow, spreading throughout his form (and healing him for10HP). Her chanting prayer, which fills the room, weaves through the air, and as she murmurs, her bond to her god seems to palpably strengthen, sealing her wounds as well and filling her body with newfound strength.
“Well, I came here to explore this part of the world. Discovering new places or finding some hidden treasures before I’m too old. Between that, I'll earn some coins with my hands.” Mikal’s eyes glance over his hands, they are the size of a shovel for working years on a boat. “Tell me more about what you had in mind. Perhaps we could help each other.”
Noldeme is quick to try to glance up at the raven, but whether it was just an illusion or she was not quick enough, her eyes meet nothing. She shakes her head and continues heading forth, thinking about the vine and coming up with nothing relevant. After that, she thinks about her options, which she tells Nae as she approaches the exit of the town. "We could go over the mountain, around it, or through it thanks to a tunnel... I don't know how safe each path is, exactly, but the tunnel is definitely the fastest route... I think that'd probably be the better option, but we should remain in the lookout in case of danger."
“I can see really well in the dark so Tunnel would work just fine, though climbing could be fun” Nae gives a hardy laugh “Only kidding that sounds exhausting, I think cutting through sounds good but yeah, I’ll make sure to keep an eye out.” Nae refastens her Lavender cloak around her and nods and readily marches forward

"The fault was mine, Grr," says Jogs, putting a hand on his shoulder. She looks to where Orina is praying over Hainsley. "Maybe we should all get back in the other room?" Jogs stands in the doorway, ensuring the door doesn't close again until everyone is through, and calls to Orina as she waits. "The middle door made everything skinny and tall; maybe if we keep the knobs as they are, and turn some other ones, the bottom of the light beam will rise and fill the space perfectly?" She scrunches up her maw and scratches her head. "This makes my head hurt, 'Rina; sorry for being rash... I get frustrated when I can't fix something with this," she says, raising the hammer. "Hey do you think this has something to do with why Hainsley was flat when we first found him, like a painting?"
Dordis is somehow surprised by Areyo asking him his thoughts; No one usually asks him his ideas back in Faksimile, but for a rarity of that to appear now, he seems to appreciate it with replying, "Ah—Well I think if I can figure out more about this warlock's range in terms of power, I might be able to pinpoint this warlock's location." He searches for another notebook, stowing the green notebook as he picks out a fine-made black book, skimming through a few pages to look for a specific part of the book, " Well, in the meantime, we can look around to see if there are any areas focused with demons and try to trace that down to them—" Dordis pauses at one page, looking at it and dismissing it. He looks at the book's cover and closes his eyes. Opening them again, he tries to recall any details Soltris or his father told him about a warlock's magical capabilities.

This was a fool's errand. And now you will perish like ash in a winter gale.
Despair and doubt surge into Xamodas' mind, threatening to break his wills even as this hallway threatens to break his body.
Zacharias's face is suddenly full of anguish. "My soul will no longer belong to you?" He can't help but reach out and grab Ilmater's arms. "But you are all I want. What do you mean?"
The Tower - Level 2 - Hall of 20 Traps - Trap #10: ( that's the crushing one too...welp, this will probably kill you outright)

In an instant, everything goes dark. Then you are shaken awake, on that beach again. You are frighteningly lucid, you are looking out to a star filled sky above a roiling sea. You do not know where you are, this can't possibly be the Astral Plane, can it? What do you do?

Orina & Jogs(Bunny Battalion): Orina places here hands over Hainsley, who seems to be loosing his painted qualities. His wounds begin to seal, but he remains still and unpainted.
Grr is calmer, but you can see regret in his face. He looks solemnly at Hainsley, and you see his heart sinking further and further as Orina magic doesn't seem to be working...
then, flashing prismatic light covers his enitre body, and then, with a flash, he sits up and gasps "Hhhhoooo....ookay, phew..that was quicker than expected." he is feeling up his body, making sure it solid. He looks around, and sees everyone looking ill. "Did I miss something, what's everybody all soggy eyed for? Hey, did you guys get taller?"
Baron's Mansion:
Ulrich: "That monster, you did say you killed it, no? It cannot take us anymore, but whatever is down there might come up for us."
Suddenly, you get a Sending message from the Archbishop. "Ulrich, your situation is the worst so far, I am willing to deliver an asset at a moments notice. What's the situation now?" The spell is awaiting your response.
Greenport-> Tetsuo's Tunnel:
Noldeme & Nae: You head through the rain, moving your way through the streets of the town until you reach it's outskirts. You follow a path which leads to the mountain base, where a long, dark tunnel is carved from the mountain. There is a sign above it that says "Kau a Tetsuo". Make any preperation you wish to take before entering, roll perception and stealth (just remember you move at a slow pace when you are stealthy), also, establish what order your standing in.
Redport:
Mikal: "Well, your in luck, I'm a writer for newspapers, and occasionaly Wavelength shows. Lot's of places around here are in need of exploring, people would pay good money to hear about exploring out there. Although, it would be incredibly dangerous, but nothing ventured, nothing gained, right?" Fan Guo looks out the side of the wagon, and brings it to a stop. "Well, here we are at the Inn, unless you got other plans now?"
Corvidae - Rosebush Tent:
Dordis: "I've heard rumors about demons being more concentrated to the east, actually, so he must move around alot, cause before it was closer to Resolve, but...what about Zach?"
Warlocks were a bit of a taboo subject, because if it's connection with The Roil that people fear in Faksimile. They have dark, ancient, forgotten, and forbidden magic granted to them by strange entities, or by troublesome aspects, anything more specific you can't recall.
The Enn:
Zacharias: Illmater is stirred by your emotion, but he continues to explain "Well, you would essentially become a god, Zacharias, it is their duty to lead others to salvation, not themselves. The more godlike you become, the less you will be Zacharias;. like turning your Soul to clay and letting everyone you meet have a say in shaping you until you are something else entirely."
OOC: Yeah. At level 2, my Con score would have to be 3 points higher than it is to prevent instant kill even if I were at max HP. That's the cost of low stat rolls on a squishy character.
The last thing Xamodas felt was brutal, crushing pain. He didn't see the attack coming, wasn't sure which trap it was, but he felt a crack, saw white, then nothing.
Then, a long, dreamless, sleepless night.
He awakens, unsure of where he is. The pain is there, then it isn't, then it is again. He did not know this land, though it reminded me of his creche. Did Vlaakith save me? No. She would have no cause to. Then what? Did another climber drag me out? The old man, perhaps? He waits a few silent minutes, making sure he's steady enough to stand up. Then he does so. He searches himself, then slowly turns and scans the beach, looking for his equipment, and his savior.

Another medical problem. Indefinite hiatus. Sorry, all.
Dordis racks his head in minor frustration. Warlocks were a somewhat untouched topic that Faksimile's public libraries and even college sanctums or top students had no opportunity to delve in. He makes a small note using his left hand to write down a detail of studying warlock powers to fill his lack of knowledge thereof. After a sigh, he looks up to the Areyo and replies, "I'm not familiar with Zacharias' previous beliefs, goals, or the god he worships, but I'll see if this Ilmater may have any ties with resurrection or a way to bring back his believers." He scrolls through the black book once again, making sure to let Areyo read in as well so he can fill himself in what the knowledge. The book's pages seem to go on for awhile, often times does Dordis realize how heavy it can be when put to measure, "This may take awhile depending on whether or not I can find it here—" He flips through the pages, marking a few down that talk of sources of revitalizing a dead body, and continues his search for Ilmater's information.

Despair and doubt surge into Xamodas' mind, threatening to break his wills even as this hallway threatens to break his body.

Yaw - Genasi, Bard (3), College of Lore - Tower of Heaven
Zacharias's face is suddenly full of anguish. "My soul will no longer belong to you?" He can't help but reach out and grab Ilmater's arms. "But you are all I want. What do you mean?"
((Happy Valentines Day))
The Tower - Level 2 - Hall of 20 Traps - Trap #10: ( that's the crushing one too...welp, this will probably kill you outright)
27
In an instant, everything goes dark. Then you are shaken awake, on that beach again. You are frighteningly lucid, you are looking out to a star filled sky above a roiling sea. You do not know where you are, this can't possibly be the Astral Plane, can it? What do you do?
Blackport -> Corvidae:
Leshanna: "Stay on your toes." says the woman. "Remember what that guy said about demons. The carts not far, we'll keep a light on, and holler and we'll come after you."
You sling your rifle over your shoulder, and have your shotgun at your hip, as you head towards the sound of the noise Roll stealth if you wish to move stealthly, and roll perception.
Dungeon: Trial of Ratio and Scale:
Greenport-> Tetsuo's Tunnel:

The Astral Beach - Xamodas

Dordis Falthenfyern
