"Do we fly on the carpet or would you guys feel better traveling on foot?" Rubin would ask the others. I don't think he needs anything as far as supplies go, unless we are going to start tracking rations and such.
During the drinks at the inn, Benagol asks around for ships passage to Elsath and finally finding one, he offers himself to help once on board and he asks them how much it could take, if they have a guide once there....
Ooc things to take: rations, tent against insects, potions or repellent for insects, anti poisons....
As Rubin knows less than nothing about jungle travel, or water between here and the jungle, he would just give money to a knowledgeable member of the group to purchase what is needed for the entire group.
Since the ship is not boarding just yet, he (and whoever wants to join him) decides to have a stroll in town after such wild weeks.
He searches for:
- a bath to relax and chill out, especially if they also have massage with happy ending, otherwise he will later search for a decent brothel
- some comedian or theatre to have a laugh
Going around, he has a look at the several shops...if he is lucky enough he may find something useful for the adventure ahead (weapons? armors? any tool? magic items?)

The closest place you find to a bath house, and ironically a brothel, is a pig sty that has a rusted tub filled with muddy dank water. I assume that is not what you are looking for.
The tavern does have a bard, who is trying their best. Performance: 18 Unfortunately his best is not that great.
The only permenant shop is a small general store that mostly sells ship/ocean equipment, not much for adventuring in a jungle. They do have a stock of 5 anti-toxins (25GP ea), 5 potions of healing (50GP ea), and rations to last you all weeks (5 gp ea person for 4 weeks of rations).
There is a marketplace place just outside of the docks, but not many vendors are out. There is a vendor selling trinkets, but nothing of interest or magical.

Benagol you meet the captain of The Happy Buck, Jiorva Kremmel, in the tavern the next morning after the party rests. Jiorva is a male human who not only welcomes the challenge of travelling to Elsath, he is an expert at it! He boasts that he knows the best place to land and enter the dangerous island. He has taken other explorers to Elsath's shores...none have returned. For that reasons, he has named the spot "The Silent Cove". The Happy Buck is similar to The Flying Elbow, only it is more outfit for travel and battle than transporting cargo. A large ballista sits at the bow of the ship, loaded with large javelins. The stern of the ship has three crossbows outfit with large bolts with ropes attached. The ship employs 29 seaworthy crew: a first mate, bosun (deck boss), quartermaster, a cook, and twenty five sailors. Benagol uses his sailor background to convince Jiorva to give the party free passage to Elsath. You set off later that afternoon.
The travel on the boat will be 9 days. Is there anything specific you would like to do over your travel?

Reggie you have become proficient with climbing the mast to the crow's nest. The main mast that holds the crows nest soars 60 feet into the air. Unlike the Flying Elbow, there are only two masts on The Buck. This crew is efficient, many of them hold at least a dagger at their belt and many have scars and body parts missing from sea battles over the years. The Ocean of Warna is notorious for sea monsters, pirates, and other creatures lurking the waters for their next target. The Buck has seen many battles but is sturdy and strong. It is a much smoother ride for the adventurers who don't quite have their sea legs.
Your travel, surprisingly as Captain Kremmel says out loud, your journey is uneventful. Reggie, at one point during the journey, you do notice something off the port side several thousand feet away. You catch a quick glance of a creature with three eyes and tentacles waving just above the water. As quickly as you saw it, the creature disappears. You do not encounter anything threatening to the boat, but see wildlife such as dolphins, sharks, giant sea turtles, and so on. For the reputation the Ocean of Warna has, it was a pleasant trip.
Reggie, you and the barrelman are in the crow's nest. You catch sight of land well off in the distance, by 30 miles away. "Land-ho!" shouts the barrelman down to the crew and Captain Kremmel. Everyone else on the deck after a few minutes are also able to see land ahead, this is the huge jungle island of Elsath. Captain Kremmel grins and pats Mackenzie on the should, "Told ye I'd get you there, mate." Kremmel draws a spyglass from his pocket and gazes out at the island.
"Ah, Elsath. A land of mystery, she is. All manner of troublesome beasts there. But no worries for you, eh? I'm sure you......"
Kremmel stops in the middle of his sentence and his expression turns sour. Immediately, he spins on his heel and yells, "Battle stations! Battle stations!" Without a moment's hesitation the crew scrambles to their positions. Three crew man the ballista at the stern of the ship, loading a javelin. One crew mans each of the crossbows at the bow of the ship near the wheelhouse. Kremmel goes into the wheelhouse and shuts the door behind him.
As everyone moves to their stations, you all catch glimpse of what Captain Kremmel spotted. A coterie of winged creatures approaching fast from the island heading directly towards you!
Each griffon has two cultist mounted on their backs. In total, their are 12 griffons and 24 cultists. The griffons are carrying something in each claw, a barrel or cask of sorts. Top of the round the griffons are 300 feet away, but quickly approaching. Let's roll initiative! (On initiative the griffon counts as a griffon and 2 cultists).
Gerry shrugs.
"Fine by me."

"Works for me as well." Rubin agrees.
Anything you all need in town before departing?

(You will be chartering a boat to get to Elsath.) No need to worry about a charter fee because of Benagol's background.

Rubin would probably just help out where needed, but otherwise stay out of the crew's way.
