Celica's close-quarter combat training exercises with the Righteous Brand had paid off, it seems. And it looks like Balassar and Alton were here, too. Good! Now it was time to turn to other gifts.
"Did I forget to mention my powerful friends? Don't say I didn't warn you!" She says before stretching out her arms, a holy symbol in the shape of a crescent moon clutched in one of her hands. "Help me out, vespers!"
With a flash of light, swirling spectral fey-like shapes with mischievous grins appear in a 15 foot radius around her. They lash out and attack the thugs gathered around Celica.
(Casting spirit guardians. Because this is their first time entering the spell's area, each baddie needs to make a DC 14 Wisdom save. On a failure, they take 19 radiant damage. On a success, they take 9 radiant damage. When an enemy starts their turn in the spell's area, they must make another wisdom save against Celica's DC or take 3d8 radiant damage. While in the spell's area, the enemy's speed is halved. Celica is concentrating on this spell, so she'll have to make a con save to maintain concentration if she takes damage.)
The fey creatures are, I suspect, alien and frightening to the men - the light is eerie and flickers as they dart about in movements that are hard to follow or make sense of.
(My reading of the spell is that they take damage at the start of their turn, but not immediately. But it will get all of them.)
Round Two: Balassar Man 4 and Man 6 Alton Man 1, Man 2, Man 3, Man 5 Celica
Balassar is up. Balassar, as unnerving as the fey spirits that swirl around you are, it's clear they are not affecting you in any way.
Balassar just takes a deep breath as he brings his blade back down on the first man, priority for him was to make sure someone can talk at the end. He then lets out a roar as his instinct surges and he brings his blade down on the man not shackled by flames.
Balassar is a whirling, ferocious dance of slashes and stabs, magic infusing every movement and every strike. You can all see there's a reaction from all of the men; instead of being in control with a single helpless victim, they now understand they are fighting for their lives.
So far, none of the men have been killed or knocked unconscious, but the leader (Man 1) isn't looking great, and Man 4 and Man 5 are badly wounded.
Man 4 will disengage and run for it, down the alley. One of the others swears after him, though it's possible he's considering doing the same.
The first blow is a thud to the side of the face; Balassar, you feel the world go blurry for a second, and seem unable to hear anything but the pounding of your heart. You stagger, and luckily avoid the second strike.
"They'll gone down, like any other," the man says, trying to rally his comrades.

Alton scampers across the rooftop and set up behind Celica. As he moves, he loudly says to Balassar casting healing word, “That looked like it hurt, but rub some dirt on it and you’ll be fine.” Once in position he will line up another shot with his hand crossbow at the guy that just pummeled Balassar and fire.
Movement: Moves 20ft to the left on the rooftop Action: fires a bolt at Man 6, Attack: 17Damage: 9 non-lethal piercing Bonus Action: healing word at level 2 on Balassar for 8

Man 3 runs off: Celica, you can take an Opportunity Attack if you wish. From a distance, he pulls out a crossbow and aims it at you: Crossbow Attack: 7 Damage: 3
Man 2 attacks you twice, staying in melee: Mace Attack: 7 Damage: 5 Mace Attack: 12 Damage: 5
Not a one lands. Man 2 will now move away, trying to get out of the dangerous fey cloud that surrounds you. If you didn't use your reaction already, Celica can make an Opportunity Attack against him as he goes. Balassar, you can also make an Opportunity Attack against Man 2, if you like.
Celica doesn't have her hammer at the moment, so she throws a punch against Man 3!

On her turn, Celica turns to Man 1 and gives a mischievous smirk. "That's half-elf you jerk!" She jeers before she snaps her fingers and calls down a burning beam of moonlight.
