a mace, : this dark metal mace is fashioned in the form of a fierce dwarfs head.
a shortsword: a silvery squared blade inscribed with runes.
a dagger: a softly glowing reddish hand blade.
a huge mithril maul: This formidable looking weapon is inscribed with runes, whorls and seems to hum slightly....he's pretty sure its Pit-Breaker.
Herman suddenly stops dancing when everyone looks at the forearms

He looks at his forearm as well, he has a tattoo as well, the same one.
Puzzled, jaws open, he looks at it and ponders, wondering aloud
"This is a gift of some sort from our ancestors! Anyway, let's gather all these precious things and get of out here....or do you want to understand more about those strange machines?!"

Brocc collects the strange crystal, as well as anything magical in the chamber. He recasts detect magic as a ritual to do so. Once gathered he would identify each and every magical item for the group.

With the Mattock Brocc takes his time and uses its powers to repair the ceiling and parts of the floor and wall....it likely wouldn't meet the approval of the Master Masons of the Dwarves here but it is functional.
Brocc identifies the tattoo as the symbol of the Night Demon Shakor one of the Seven Demon Princes of The Pit Second only to the Trio of Serpent Princes the four Night Demons are immensely powerful beings...and it appears you have the attention of one of them....
Brocc identifies the crystal as a concentration of fiendish essence that seems to contain a remnant of the demon Pelucidis.....it would likely serve as a valuable and useful powersource for an automaton...though he believes there may be some unforseen side-effects.

Can Brocc Identify the part of the wall that is magical? If not then he would make sure the others know about it. What magic does he detect there, Conjuration, Evokation, etc?

It appears to be roughly a 6' tall x 2' wide section of wall....an Alteration magic with light touches of Necromancy. He's fairly sure dispelling it will reveal whatever it has done.
"Anyone have a dispel magic casting left over?" Brocc asks the others, nodding to the magical section of wall. "Not sure if it is a good idea to take it down or not, but we won't know what it is for unless we do so..."
"Likely a good idea." Brocc says. His eyes are on the strange section of wall as he pulls out the wand. Lifting it he activates the wand, bringing forth the group's Tiny Hut.
The companions take their ease within the slightly cramped magical dome, those on watch do hear occasional noises but far off and none as loud as the demon was. All wake rested and recovered without incident......though still surrounded by the remains of dozens upon dozens of long dead dwarves.
Having had time to consider the section of wall as he rested, Brocc turns to the group. "I worry a bit about the necromantic magic involved in that section of wall." He gestures to the large number of dead dwarfs around them. "If it somehow animates all of these dwarfs, on dispelling the magic, then we would truly be in a world of hurt." He shrugs. "My curiousity says to still do so, and see what happens, but I think it should be a group decision."
"Already tried that." Brocc says with a shrug. "The Identify did not tell me anything and the Detect Magic only said it was alteration magic with a bit of necro added in."
(Pretty sure we're out of luck, we're not high enough level for dispel magic, and identify didn't work. Unless you want to try the maul to break it down?)

"Is it not worth resting here for the night, now that we have dealt with the immediate threat." Garets eyes went to the crystal Brocc now held.
"We should be well rested before we take on any new foes, for all we know that door may lead to the crystal beings unholy master."
"I vote we pitch the hut and rest here, that way the spell can be cast and we are all fresh for what might be behind the door."
