As you get closer to the kobold, it's eyes flutter open and it's arm shoots out and grabs yours. It holds on tight and pulls you close and shoves the letter into your chest. In Draconic he says, "You find Meepo and give!" The kobold slams back down, his energy consumed. It has stopped shaking and a calm appears over his face. You hear a loud, rattling breath as the last of life escapes his body. He is dead.
The letter is bloodstained and wet but the writing is visible. It is is broken simple Draconic. Ithelion you can read this. "Meepo. Kruk take over, hurt elders. He want to attack humans to get fruit. Come home and help. - Your brother, Seedo."
You notice an interesting creation tied into Seepo's hair. It is a circular item made from pieces of bone, beads, and twigs woven together with vines and grass.
Ithelion stares at the letter for a time, then looks back at Seedo's mangled body. So many deaths in such a short time. She had always known that other races lives were like the brief flickerings of candles, but the reality was hard to witness.
She turns to Krom and Garnet. "He wants ... he wanted ... us to deliver this letter to his brother...".
A faint smile appears on her lips as she remembers Krom's earlier impatience, and she holds up a hand to forestall any quick response, "...and you will be pleased to know that I think that means we can't return his body. We don't know which way he was going -- to or from the caves -- so it's probably best we inquire at Oakhurst first."
Looking around the tent she sighs, "But I do think we should collect what is here onto the wagon, and we also have a duty to the dead...either into the earth or into a fire. Or...onto the wagon, perhaps."
"I will keep Seedo's belongings separate, in case his brother has use for it."
She casts around the tent for a sack, or some clothing she might be able to wrap his things in, cleans it ((prestidigitation)) then places Seedo's posessions in it. She cleans each as well -- except the letter -- before she gently removes the bone headpiece he was wearing, and cutting off a lock of his hair as well (( do Kobolds have hair?? Loose end of a claw?? )).
"I will take a few minutes to see if there are any surprises nearby."
With that she goes back to the rock, pulls out her spell book and starts casting Detect Magic as a ritual, then moves around the area looking for anything with an arcane aura. She starts with Seedo's items, and when she is finished with them she wraps them all up and ties the bundle as securely as she can then starts moving around the area, sensing for magic, and then homing in on whatever it is that has the arcane aura.
Other than anything Krom, Garnet, or yourself are carrying, all the chests emanate some magic aura, as does the kobold's talisman. The boxes themselves aren't emanating, to be clear, but whatever is inside is. They have locks on them and they are not the source of the magic.
Krom closes the eyes of the kobold and prays over the body giving it last rights. "Loot the place if ye want. I've got a job to be doin'." With that, Krom will leave the tent and start moving the bodies to one side of the clearing. Making sure to check them for a key to unlock the chains.

Krom, outside there are several piles of bodies, piles of bones, especially near the crevice. there are also the figures hanging from the tree that have mostly bled out, and the stew in the cauldron has boiled away the flesh from the skeleton. You find a few keys on Chanty, one of which opens the manacles.
If Krom is still working at his task when Ithelion finished her magic, she will help him with his task, asking "What do you plan to do with the bodies?"
"Ain't much to do with 'em 'cept give 'em last rights and leave 'em. Our druid friend might be upset if we started a large fire and I doubt any of ye have tools to dig proper graves." Krom points to the still boiling cauldron, "Got to do somethin' 'bout that too."

Ithelion glances at the cauldron and grimaces. She assesses the size of the fire beneath, and if it is small enough she snuffs it out; otherwise she takes a fallen branch and drags the fire apart, snuffing out components as she goes, so that the fire does not spread. When the fire is out -- glad to have something physical to do -- she calls a warning to any nearby, then pushes the cauldron over with her stick.
(( Prestidigitation can snuff out a "small camp fire"; I'm hoping it is that, or can be reduced successively ))
When she is done, she looks again at the growing stack of bodies. "Can we light a pyre, perhaps?"
She looks uncertainly at Lorell then glances around to assess the amount of dead wood available...and while she is doing that, she also casts around for any food that might be as yet untainted (apples, carrots etc) to entice the horse.
(( OOC: Assuming we will have a central 'loot' post, I am starting one here...assuming we gather all the stuff from the camp ... bookmark it and I will try to keep it updated... ))
