Ithelion's eyes widen briefly at the oncoming light, then she nods to Shere, "Yes. Let's get out of this channel. Did you see what was causing the light?"
The glow gets very bright as Shere makes it back to the group, which uses the natural formation of the rift wall as cover. Curiously, the glow goes no further than the mouth of the opening into whatever chamber it was in. After a short time, the glow retreats back into the cavern from whence it came. It doesn't seem to want to leave the chamber fully...
The threat seems to be over for now.
What's next for the intrepid adventurers?

From your knowledge of fire snakes, it’s very likely that the cavern with the glow holds hatchlings or eggs of fire snakes.
When the glow seems to falter in its approach, and even reverse, Ithelion lets out the breath she had been holding, and nods to Daemyar, "Let's see where the other end leads us."
@daemyar - You skilfully navigate further east in the rift, unseen and unheard, with the rest of the group in tow. It goes on for a while, perhaps 100 feet, before connecting to a room. It looks like the rift opened up part of the structure here, caving in the back wall of this room. Daemyar, it doesn't look like there is any movement in the room itself
(( IF Daemyar agreed to Elosa on his shoulder, then once Daemyar is out of visual range she alternates between looking through her own eyes and Elosa's. She tries to keep no more than 90' behind Daemyar. Elosa is told to alert Ithelion and tap Daemyar gently if she spots any dangers... ))

@daemyar @elosa/ithelion You crouch forward and peer into the room. There is a door immediately ahead to the left of you and it stands ajar. This room is unoccupied. The once-proud cobbled flooring is now stained and covered with luminescent fungi. When you listen closely, you can hear talk from one or more of the other rooms, including snoring - though that sound is faint. The room is approximately 20x20 feet.
Yes, you can pick out at least two language being spoken, Sylvan and Elvish. It's very faint, it seems like normal conversing. Nothing is audible or clear from where you are.
Ithelion frowns, "I'm saying it's likely not a blight, not a bugbear, not a goblin and not a kobold. And Belak is a druid, many of whom speak the languages of elves and forests." She shrugs, "Could be a well educated troll for all I know, but I did say that I guess we are near the druid. As to the other question..." she tries to recall details of the warrior, "...I'm not sure if the paladin was elvish. The children were not."
Garnet stays crouched down, awaiting the go ahead to move forward. "Can you understand any of it? Perhaps a little closer, but carefully.." Garnet puts her short bow away, the danger from apparent fire snakes having past.

As Daemyar prepares to move off, Ithelion asks, "Do you mind if Elosa accompanies you?" she glances at the owl on her shoulder.
(( If he agrees, Elosa will perch on his shoulder and remain still ))

Ithelion says quietly to those near her, "Another room. Tiles and fungus. Voices -- elven and sylvan. Guessing we are close to the druid..."
She then edges closer to Daemyar, trying to stay about 60' behind, before reconnecting to Elosa.
Shere Still standing guard and following nervously looking towards the firesnakes, whispers
"Are you saying the Druid is an Elf? Werre any of the missing people elves?"

She moves cautiously and as stealthily as she can manage up the fissure...
