"Wait, wait. Don't do anything. The evocation boundary over the pit will likely trigger if someone transgresses it," Nenne postulates. "Or if someone opens it. I do not recommend touching that chest and getting anywhere near that golem before we 'right the gods', whatever that means. So tell me right now what our plan is, because I will not allow you to tread further without first casting protective magics on those who will be in the most danger."
Boosey nods and replaces the key in the lock with mage hand, before dismissing the spell. "There's no rush, I can lift that out of there whenever we are ready."
The party discusses their options about turning the statues, and Nenne walks over to Allister, face drawn. Her amulet glows a deep ruby, and she brings two fingers to her lips, touches the holy symbol, and pokes him in the forehead as she did the day before. She repeats this with herself and says, "Kelemvor's blessing on us both." (Death Ward) Then she walks back to her station and grits her teeth.
Nenne shrugs. "Short of us holding the statues in place indefinitely, I have no other ideas. I suppose we can attempt it. Though, if that golem does activate, we are going to need the warrior's rapier. Marksman, perhaps you would take over for him should the need arise?"
Allister makes an exasperated sigh. „I. Hate. This. Place.“ After a moment of silence he says „Can we offer a magical item to Azuth? Maybe something will happen. Boosey, could you put Papazotlˋs pendant on the empty plinth?“ Boosey puts the pendant on the plinth, but nothing happens. Allister yells „I HATE THIS PLACE!“
With little happening in the room Boosey reappears in the same spot he vanished from. “Shall I bring the key out, then?” He asks. With confirmation he once again lifts it out the pit towards the party. As the magical hand rises it reaches the lip of the pit and refuses to rise any further. “Someone try and grab the key!”
As the fighter attempts the grab the key and discovers the barrier to the pit is impassable, Nenne turns a puzzled eye to the plinth once more.
"Conjuration magic," she mutters. Something occurs to her suddenly, and a few strands of silver pop through her curls. "Friends, I've had a thought. What if the plinth is a teleportation platform rather than a summoning one? If so, that may be the only way we can breach the barrier. Of course, we have not attempted to damage or dismantle the barrier, yet, with either weapons or magic."
„Good idea.“ Allister draws his rapier, sets it with a mental command on fire, and rams it into the barrier. He blade nearly snaps and bends, but the barrier is still unharmed. He sheathes the extinguished weapon and says „I tried what I can do. Anyone else?“
Nenne shrugs, sighing in disappointment. "It will not affect that, but I can do this..." She grasps her holy symbol once more as a shower of red falls on Allister, Boosey, and herself. (Aid) "What little I have is yours, friends."
Allister volunteers to stand on the plinth while Nenne rotates the statue of Torm. A loud Pop! sounds and Allister vanishes to reappear down in the pit. Immediately, the clay golem explodes into motion. The creature's left hand mutates as the clay pushes a shield out of its body as if it were brandishing it like some knight. The creatures right arm ripples as a greatsword pushes out in a blade-like extension of its own clenched fist. Everyone in the statue room above hears a deep hum coming from the pit as soon as Allister appears inside it.
The clay golem surges with energy. Magic ripples through its body and the thing increases dramatically in speed. Quick, like a serpent, the thing stabs its greatsword punches clanges up against the wall, sending a shower of sparks over Allister's ducking head. Everyone in the room doesn't hear a sound as Allister weaves and dodges the many attacks coming from the golem. The thing constantly misses the agile warrior, slamming silently into the wall down below.
Seeing Allister unexpectedly in the pit Boosey curses wildly. With the two figures immediately starting to fight he casts shatter into the pit, only for it to fizzle out immediately. He tries to shout at Allister, but he either can’t hear Boosey or is too intent on the clay figure in front of him. The gnome jumps onto the plinth and shouts to the others “get me down there”
The golem is much faster than Allister could anticipate, but its huge body and massive weapon limit its maneuverability. He dodges under the greatsword and stabs at the outstrechted arm, cutting a chunk of clay from the appendage . He turns on the spot, lashing out with the rapier again and cutting more clay from the torso. Two more cuts to the torso leave the hulking golem with deep smoldering gashes on the chest. He stays close to the golem to take its advantage of reach.

Allister nods to Nenne. „I’m ready when you are.“

Allister pushes the statue till it faces to the right.
Boosey vanishes
Nenne turns hers simultaneously.
A sharp Pop! comes from the south plinth as the statue reaches ninety degrees. The statue is spring loaded to return back to its original position.
"What if something was on the plinth when these statues were turned. I still have some hydra blood left?" Says Boosey's disembodied voice
Nenne shrugs. "Short of us holding the statues in place indefinitely, I have no other ideas. I suppose we can attempt it. Though, if that golem does activate, we are going to need the warrior's rapier. Marksman, perhaps you would take over for him should the need arise?"
