"And what if we set off traps and get stuck in the attempt?" Nenne pushes back. "No, we know this works. I say we bind together our heaviest equipment we are willing to spare, throw it as we did with the bones, and have Allister push against the stone to make it spin faster."
"Ok, everyone, hear me out," and Boosey quickly draws out a diagram showing Lo trapped in his tunnel. "Lo was here," he says pointing to him on the drawing, "moved there from where we are when this thing triggered. There is an open passage at the top here," and he points to the top of the drawing, where the party could see a turn in the passageway after the rotation, "which we could see over that body. This thing has rotated again, meaning that where Lo is now," and he points to Lo, then moves his finger in a curve to the top as if the whole thing was rotating, "is here and he has an escape route. We just need to find where the other end of that passage is. He may have wandered out of there already."
"That is an assumption I would rather not risk his life upon, or ours, just yet," Nenne replies, grim. "One more attempt here first. It would be faster than picking our way through tunnels blindly."
The party tosses in gear and equipment that they feel like they can do without and the mechanism rotates back to the straight crawl way. After some more tunnel fishing, the party throws the skeleton and its equipment back into the center and Lo rotates back into view.
Pinks and rose golds bloom over Nenne at the sight of the goliath. "Thank the gods," she exhales in relief, smiling brightly. "Small victories carry great encouragement to despairing souls."
Lo leads the way into the next hallway. Purple mold covers this corridor, nearly more than any other location the party has been. The corridor turns sharply to the left. At the corner just before the turn, a peephole is carved into the stone wall at a height of 6 feet. There is a doorway on the party's right just before the turn, and a crawl way that burrows into the north side of the corridor's end. Stepping around the peephole block reveals a block of stone on which is painted a seven-foot-tall jackal-headed humanoid with a circular gold medallion around its neck. All around the figure are carvings of locusts.
Lo looks to the members and pointing at the door says in an echoing voice, "We seem to now have multiple choices on where to go and what to lead us by. I have no trouble attempting to open or at least inspect the door on the right. We can however come back to it later and inspect the statue if wanted." He then gives a moments pause and says, "The medallion would look great on my shaman..."
"Id' look through the peep hole, but it's a little high for me or Glimbul," Boosey quips. "I think you're right Allister, that that could be the entrance to the tomb. Should we brave it while we are relatively fresh. There won't be much time left on those buffs I gave everyone."
Allister steps towards the peephole and look through. „Guess what I can see? A picture of a vulture. It appears to be on a dial. We need to find out how to turn the dial and see the next picture.“
Boosey mentions the possibility of the medallion turning or being used as a key, which prompts investigation of the stone door. With some luck and a keen eye, a button is found hidden among the art work. Lo presses the button, which causes the entire stone block to sink into the floor, medallion and all.
Nenne sighs. "I had an idea that the dial might reveal the safe pattern to cross the floor in I'Jin's tomb chamber, but I suppose that experiment will have to wait." She runs a hand through her hair. "We know traps reset after time. Perhaps we can return in a while and try again - a little more thoughtfully next time."
The party backtracks to the eastern door and inspects it for traps, finding none. As a precaution, and aware that time is running out on Boosey's spell to enhance the group's fortitude, Nenne taps her holy symbol and asks Kelemvor to swiftly open her sight to the arcane. (Detect Magic)
"I see nothing on the door. Be wary as you open it."
Hearing the go ahead from Nenne, Lo huffs and pushes the door open easily with his might. This chamber contains a stone font filled with a steaming green liquid. Beyond it, a shadowy figure stands at an open door on the far side of the room. The figure’s back is toward the party.
The instant the room is revealed, Nenne's eyes flash with divine awareness. "The font and the shadow are illusions. Also...'slake your shadow at the font'..."

Stepping off the platform, a frowned face dawns on Lo. "Do not ride that. Was not pleasant."

„This whole scene looks familiar. Remember that jackal head with the room and the illusion behind it? Maybe that is the entrance.“
"So what do you suggest warrior? Do you believe we should venture past the doorway to the right or to the statue wielding such a medallion?"
Made you look.
"Id' look through the peep hole, but it's a little high for me or Glimbul," Boosey quips. "I think you're right Allister, that that could be the entrance to the tomb. Should we brave it while we are relatively fresh. There won't be much time left on those buffs I gave everyone."
Pounding his chest, Lo responded to Boosey, "I shall investigate then." Stepping ahead of everyone, Lo walks to the peephole, and peers through.
Made you look.
Allister steps towards the peephole and look through. „Guess what I can see? A picture of a vulture. It appears to be on a dial. We need to find out how to turn the dial and see the next picture.“
Lo confirms the same thing. The image of a vulture can clearly be seen on a dial when looking through the peep hole.
Boosey mentions the possibility of the medallion turning or being used as a key, which prompts investigation of the stone door. With some luck and a keen eye, a button is found hidden among the art work. Lo presses the button, which causes the entire stone block to sink into the floor, medallion and all.
Allister looks at the disappearing block, then at Lo. „That was most unfortunate. Let’s move and see what awaits us.“
Nenne sighs. "I had an idea that the dial might reveal the safe pattern to cross the floor in I'Jin's tomb chamber, but I suppose that experiment will have to wait." She runs a hand through her hair.
