"You're having way too much fun at this, but I guess it's like they say 'if you can't enjoy the little moments.'"
Tyde waits until everyone seems ready and then wakes the guy they fished out of the water. "Answer yes or no by nodding or shaking your head. Are you Quanderil?"
"Have you ever heard the name Miraj Vizaan? Do you know Miraj Vizaan?"

"Way, way, ahead of ya." Xanranzan called back to Kethra, having again taken point on heading to the ship. Yet Rubin is given a chance to take the lead as the earth genasi stopped call back, "'less ya'll need me up here 'course?" As soon as he had an answer from anyone frankly, he follows through on their request, and either finds himself popping a squat on some barrel behind the interrogators, or following Rubin into the depths of the ship.

"If you won't talk to me maybe you will talk to her," Tyde gestures toward Kethra, "use any means you feel necessary."
Tyde looks back to Quanderil, "She's young and inexperienced at this so you'll have to forgive her. What she lacks in inexperience she more than makes up for with enthusiasm. I will wait to ask any further questions until I hear the screams. And you will scream I assure you. You see not many survive the Morlock treatment for long and they're never quite the same afterward. While the others get the cork and wire I will make sure the water is boiled."

(If wasn't clear before, since noone appeared to need him topside, Xanranzan continued on down below with Rubin to investigate! If a light is needed, and there's a lantern or torch nearby, he'll light one up on the way.)

"Ya know, I used to know this one song that'd help me focus my mind, right, so I can read other languages? But uh... yea, I don't remember the lyrics anymore, so... uh.. Think Mr, uh.. Brick.. house? I think that was anyways. Anyhow, think he might know it? I mean, since knows magic 'n all that." Xanranzan asked Rubin while looking over the books. At least he tries to touch it, but won't if Rubin so much as says word against it.
"Also, shouldn't there be like, eh, uh.. I dunno... Oh! We should look around for like hidden doors and stuff too! Smugglers always keep the good stuff hidden away." He said as he began rummaging about the cabin, looking for any secret doors, loose floor boards, and etc.
Kethra gives Mr. Tyde a worried smile about doing this, but she clearly wants to be supportive.
With her armor off (and her movement back to 40ft) Kethra winds up with the maul over her head. (Ready action attack with maul if he starts to cast a spell or tries to escape).
"Only answer the questions and give up any information you have, start to cast a spell and... well, let's just say it won't go well for you."

"About which? The hidden doors or the song bit? 'cause like, if this guy s'pose to be a smuggler, right, then obviously if you get searched for whatever reason, ya don't want the good stuff all on display. Especially if he's been responsible for the whole abducting thing." Xanranzan without really looking away from whatever area he'd been currently searching. "If you mean the song bit, then I mean just yet. Not sure if you noticed this, but I don't exactly use normal magic. Mines kinda of have to come from the heart 'n soul, if I want the, uh... I think my old friend called it 'The Weave'? Which, I was like, sure, cool. But uh, yea, I was curious 'bout that sort of thing, but couldn't do it right the one way. So, uh, I started trying to appeal to it another way. 'cause, again, this guy, well, gal if we wanna be technical, they said it was like a 'living thing', ya feel me?"
"And I tried a bunch of stuff. It ain't all stick, but eventually I figured out what songs or beats or stories it responded to the most, right. Problem is... I tend forget the ones I don't use often enough alot, and it takes a bit more than just sleeping on it to get it back. Like, a lot more. Almost kind of like.. this weave, I guess, reaches in and plucks the ones I'm not using, but inspires me with a new song to hear or 'feel' next the next, uh.. dance or whatever from me. Which, ya know, kin'nae creepy if that's the case, but at the same time, I don't mind it, strangely enough. Because every since joining you primes and your world, I've always got to experience new and interesting things. As well as....well..." Xanranzan trails off from there frowning and scratching at his cheeks.

Quanderil works his jaw a couple of times, then exhales.

Rubin, the dwarven tome seems to be a historical record of some kind—and an old one at that. It’s beautifully crafted, and an unusual item for a boat captain to have in his possession.

does the books jar any memories of anything for Rubin? Is it at all related to anything they have been working on? Doesn't seem useful if not, but I cannot recall anything myself...
Insight to see if this man is lying about Miraj: 24
"Hmm? My guards, huh?" Kethra raises an eyebrow and turns to give Mr. Tyde a knowing look. While she's facing away, she'll wordlessly mouth Mr. Tyde, "Bad cop (stop me when it's time)" while pointing to the maul with her eyes then giving him a wink.
"Oh, so you're the one in charge! If you're think you can fool us into thinking you're a legitimate businessman, that ship has long sailed. We know you're been pulling the wool over the eyes of this small community...and with armed guards?"
Without looking, she takes the maul of Jolliver Grimjaw and slams it on the wall, dangerously close to the magician's head.
Tyde will get ready to stop Kethra but wait until the very last moment to do so.
Tyde also nods back to Kethra.

Quanderil rolls his eyes, then gestures to his gag.
Rubin and Xan, you find a chest in the cabin with three intricately inscribed old dwarven books.
