"Afraid not," Symon states. He was a student of the occult, but floating rocks were not within his purview. "Kethra, you mentioned cultists. Perhaps this is an altar of sorts? Kill the sacrifice, mark their skills, and then toss their bodies to the rats?"
He enters the room and steps to the side so as not to block the exit. An ominous feeling building in his stomach, he drops to one knee and places a hand flat on the ground. He doesn't trust this place.

Another medical problem. Indefinite hiatus. Sorry, all.
"That's pretty gross, Symon...but we did find a flat table in the other cave too, but it didn't hover. A lot of the bodies were also picked clean too, but I wonder why we didn't find too many rats..."
Bonking herself on the head for being an idiot again, Kethra takes out her tinderbox to light another torch while keeping an eye at the back.
The room is mostly bare, nothing in it but the floating rock. You see a few faint footprints in the dust, but don't get the impression that this is an area with heavy foot traffic.
Tyde, you think that the rock is not magical, but that something else in the room might be. There's no inscription on the rock or anything, it appears to be a completely normal rock—aside from the floating.

“It does look kind’a familiar like, but I don’t have much goin in terms of ‘evil cult alphabet’ so I wouldn’t put money on it,” Jairus says. “You could poke through my ma’s book of weird stuff, it looks like some of the symbols in there, but last time I pulled her things out everyone got all good and creeped out. It’s a cult thing. I’ll let someone more academic like figure the rest, and keep on guard for nuts and bolts and flesh and blood type problems.”

"Jairus!"
Flustered, the cloaked girl pulled her hood down and protested. "I wasn't creeped out...okay, I was! I was just a little surprised, okay? Back then, I thought all cult people were--I mean, I'm not scared anymore. But you can show everyone else what your ma's stuff, it's okay. I'm okay."
Kethra has the voice and face of a young human that's a bit angry right now, but her long hair was white, almost like an old woman but not thin. And to add to all that, she kept her hair tied back together with a ribbon in a way that's popular with children.
Rubin watches to see what happens with the stone, but at a safe distance.
"Hold this, please. Thanks."
Catching her breath and forgetting her own shyness, Kethra spots Rubin keeping his distance, then hands him the lit torch she was carrying a bit abruptly. If he takes it, the white haired girl will give him a smile then tries to push the stone for Mr. Tyde to see what would happen.
Kethra pushes the stone, and it moves forward slightly in the air and then falls to the ground. Your arms tingle a bit when they pass through the air around the stone.

Taking the torch Rubin watches as the stone crashes to the ground with a loud sound. "Probably got someone's attention with that..." He comments as he glances around to see if anything in the room changed with the act.

Jairus
"It's ok, Kethra. More I get out in the world, I realize, hells, ma was creepy. We kept away from other folks as much to make them comfortable like as to avoid any of her enemies, real or imagined," Jairus says. "Funny thing - maybe you can relate, maybe not. But however you grew up, well, that's all you knew. Some folks probably knew they didn't live like others. For some of us, weird is the only thing we knew. No way to know it's weird, when you've never known normal. If that makes any dang sense."
After Kethra pushes the stone, Jairus cautiously steps forward to examine the area it floated over, and how the stone itself has landed, to see if he can learn anything more, anything he would understand, at least.

Any time you run your hand through where the rock was, you feel a slight tingling. Nothing else happens.
"It tickles, tingles kinda, like when you fell asleep on your hand and it's all pins and needles," Jairus describes as he moves his hand over the area.
When Tyde notices he is satisfied with the exploration of the room and the strange floating stone, Jairus begins scouting the unexplored exit to the south of the room for traps, ambushes, and secret doors.
(Just started thinking about Jairus’s scouting—please roll a perception and investigation check when you do so. If I tell you when you need one, you can probably guess there’s something there.)

(So asking out of character...we magically forgot about this or something like that?)
Rubin lets those more able to check out the floating rock do so. He concentrates his looking at the floor and the exits from the room.
Perception: 17
He also tries to find any clues of who is traveling through here and how often.

Underdark is his favored terrain so, hopefully, the checks above tell him something.

(Didn't we come from the South? are there two passages heading that way?)
Rubin watches to see what happens with the stone, but at a safe distance.
(The passage from the previous room curved to the east, but originally started going north.)
