After Senetir's reaction, Doozey crosses his arms and say in a nochalant tone, "Considering your unwillingness to speak, you do realize you only damning yerself.... But, I suppose that doesn't matter to you much, since you were able to make off with the Lordling, no? Pass him off to another, didn't you? A little... assurance to make sure if things went any more tits up, you and your associates would have him in your back pocket." He then pauses and furrows his brows.
"If not as a future puppet, then at least some sort of... bargaining chip? Or perhaps better yet, yer pretty confident in your allies will be able to free you come what may regardless, hm?" He asked, head cocked to the side curiously. As casual as he projecting himself in the moment, the stoutling kept a close eye for any reactions to his points. Even if it none of it could be used as evidence, then at least might be of use another way.
Come what may of his questioning, his attention then shifts back to Cron. "I seem to owe you an apologize as well, Mr. Cron.. Sorry, Lieutenant Cron. Not that you probably care all that much at this point, but I do apologize for the accusation. Seems a wee bit undeserved. But as my comrade here as hinted at, circumstance were... interesting, to say the least. But to be more direct based on Ekmong's words before... was it exactly invited you originally with the intention of your being here tonight?"

Graxx becomes angry at Senetir's laughter.
"You laugh bird! Do you think your warband will be as strong as you and not betray you to save their own hide?!" yells Graxx.
Graxx looks toward the downed Chaab.
"Bring me the Drow! See if you can wake him."
Graxx looks to Senetir then to Ekmong.
"Will you allow me to put my hands on these evil doers, tiefling? We probably only need one alive to tell us what is going on here. Whoever talks first can live." says Graxx.

Utar is puzzled by Senitir's laughter, but Neya is able to derive some information from it. @Neya:
You understand the hint of respect in the wizard's reaction to indicate he was impressed with the accuracy of Utar's and Neya's joint theory. He doesn't believe he gave a lot of information off but, somehow, your joint deductive power put enough of the puzzle pieces together to earn some small admiration from him.
Doozey speaks after several moments of silence during the Q&A. He verbally accuses Senitir of kidnapping the lordling as both an insurance measure and for control purposes. Senitir smirks as much as an owl aarakocra's beak permits him but remains silent otherwise. @Doozey:
Senitir is not giving you much of a reaction here to begin with, so it is hard to gauge what it might mean. As best, the lack of a denial may possibly hint you are knocking in the right metaphorical doors here.
Graxx goes next with a more intimidating approach but also fails to get a proper reaction from Senitir. When he asks if he can lay hands on the supposed conspirators, Ekmong says: "Not Senitir. Not yet. You are free to use whatever tactics you desire with the others, though."
Cron answers Utar's question first: "We were already here, in the first floor of the main manor. I had been invited for lunch by means of an official invite. It is not uncommon for military officers to be accompanied by a handful of their most loyal subordinates in such occasions." Ekmong completes the answer, also thinking about what Doozey said: "I was playing the host to Lieutenant Cron and his men downstairs. Surely you saw and heard how active the kitchen and serving staff were while you sneaked through the manor. I was under the impression the invitation had come directly from Lord Valero, but I am no longer so certain." He stares at Senitir.
Aleyd takes a crack at the reasoning behind the invitation: "It sounds like someone wanted to conveniently place a Black Fist officer in the murder scene, perhaps as a fail safe. Should the conspirators fail to kill us, their back-up plan would trigger: we'd be framed for murder with an officer already in place to make the necessary arrests. And the conspirator are well informed too. Cron and I don't see eye to eye in many other Black Fist matters. They were trying to use our animosity to fuel their plan. Under martial law, Cron could have passed the sentence right here and then."
Graxx then asks for the soldiers to bring Chaab into the circle. Ekmong nods and the soldiers do as indicated. Senitir looks at Chaab and curses in a language no one understands. As the drow elf is picked up and brought closer to the group but before anyone can try to breath some life into his lungs, Senitir simply vanishes.

Given he's seen a similar trick on the last two occasions they tangled with Ixas, wearer of purple, Utar really feels he should have thought of some better solution to this by now.
Uttering a particularly robust piece of Orcish about Senetir's questionable parentage and fondness for bathing with swine, Utar leaps forwards, spreading his arms wide and hoping to close them around Senetir.
Doozey is only wide-eyed for a moment, before looking towards the skies and keeping an ear open for the tall tale signs of wings beating in a hurry. And if he hears it, he shouts and points in the rough direction for it. No chances are taken to put some distance between himself or others, least an over enthusiastic guard or sudden accusation thrown his way just leads to catching a boot to the face... or a sword to the gullet.
(@Lerus: If disadvantage would apply, it should be cancelled out by the advantage of Heightened Senses Feature. So, only rolled a flat check for now.)
If nothing comes of hearing the fleeing avian humanoid, perhaps even spotting him in time enough to mark the scent at least, Doozey scratches his head furiously while trying to piece together what foul magic might yet be at play. Mayhaps even the spell, if any, itself.
(@Ori: I'll interpret your post as a ready action to cast a spell should you sense Senitir.)
Each CRAPer reacts differently to Senitir's sudden disappearance. Utar goes for the space the aarakocra was occupying just a moment ago and waves his arms around in an attempt to bump into the potentially invisible wizard. The cleric bumps against nothing.
Fearing Senitir might try to silence Chaab, Graxx throws himself on top of the drow elf to serve as a human shield. Thinking ahead, Neya tries to deduce where Senitir might be going. Looking up in the sky, Ekmong responds: "No long term visitors at the moment, so the guest house is unoccupied."
Doozey chooses to rely on his heightened hearing and smelling senses to locate Senitir, but fails to pick up any signs of the avian wizard. The ranger trusts his sense and, jointly with his understanding of magic, quickly concludes that the target may have escaped the Material Plane.
Ekmong spends his time ordering the soldiers around, telling them to keep sharp. Cron does the same. Moneus tries to look around for any footprints (survival check: 16) but finds no trace of such things. Aleyd tries to look for any other clue such as an errant feather (investigation check: 5) but also fails. Litta is too weak and tapped out to react quickly enough.
Suddenly, Senitir reappears 10 feet off the ground and already beating his wings. He is not too far from where he has before vanishing, so almost everyone in the are immediately catches a glimpse of him. Doozey releases the spell he had prepared for such occasion just in time to notice that Senitir was indeed making his way toward Chaab. Upon realizing that the drow elf is not protected from above by a mountain of muscles, Senitir changes strategies and flies upward.
Despite having his hands still manacled, the aarakocra's free wings beat furiously. In a flash, Senitir is 90 feet up in the air, but at least he is still visible now.
Doozey's already looking about frantically for a weapon by the time Graxx cries out, having abandon all pretense of waiting for approval. If he can just make it to where Graxx discarded his weapons, assuming they hadn't been moved, he pull the heavy crossbow from among them.
"C'mon, Doozey. We can do this." He murmurs as he tries to hurriedly load up up a bolt, spins about, and then finally takes the shot, hoping to at least wing the Aarakocra.

Fate is a strange mistress. No one could have guessed that Graxx of the Sky Pony Tribe would, one day, protect Chaab's life with his own. Yet, there he lied atop the drow elf, announcing to the heavens his unwillingness to move away from Chaab's side until all danger had ceased. Feeling the elf's chest rise and fall rhythmically under his own fueled Graxx's purpose even further.
Doozey and Utar react the fastest. The halfling rushes toward Graxx's enormously cumbersome crossbow and, adrenaline pumping, lifts it just enough to release the pre-loaded bolt towards Senitir. The half-orc calls another radiant bolt to strike the avian down. It is hard to tell which attack hits first, but they both find their mark. His plan to momentarily vanish again having failed, Senitir now plunges toward the ground at incredible speeds for the second time in less than ten minutes. Neya makes an appropriate comment as to narrate his downfall.
-> Fall damage: 31
Senitir is now surrounded by a large pool of his own blood, and likely has many broken bones within his body. Simply by looking at the aarakocra, it is unclear whether he is alive or not. After a few seconds and in a seemingly involuntary fashion, Senitir blinks out of existence again.
Doozey just suppresses the urge to pump his fist for nailing the shot. And instead says to everyone, "It's only temporary, I think. He'll be back shortly. Someone will need to stabilize him the moment he's back. And maybe do something about his wings too, if'n ya can too!" Doozey suggest as he sets down the crossbow least any lingering guards suspect the worse.

Graxx looks amazed when Sentirs body and then gasps when he vanished leaving behind a pool of blood. He takes comfort in Doozeys words that this is just temporary.
”Ha! You nailed him right out of the Sky! Well done!” says Graxx.
Graxx looks to Ekmong.
”Is there something you can do to make sure he doesn’t pull one over on us like that again.” says Graxx to Ekmong.
Graxx gets up off Chaab but remains on one knee with one hand tightly around Chaabs ankle.
”I’m a bit paranoid now and worried someone’s going to try to kill one of these we need to question or they are going to try to run off with some magic tricks.”
Graxx looks to Ekmong and Cron.
”We need to question them quickly to find the Lordling. Is there a more secure room or something that limits their escape? I’d like to separate them if possible.”
Graxx says to Ekmong.
”And I’d like to have my weapons back in case this Drow comes to life on me and tries to kill me. If you don’t mind.”
Neya and Doozey think fast and wait for Senitir to reappear. With gauze and herbs in hand, they quickly apply the curative materials to the freshest crossbow bolt wound in an attempt to stabilize the aarakocra. The effort proves to be futile, however. Neya realizes in an instant that there is no life left in the winged wizard and, after another cycle of disappearing and returning, she confirms that Senitir has perished.
The group's requests concerning further bindings and risks of further attacks seem somewhat mute now.
Ekmong does not take the news well. It is obvious that he considered his fellow advisor a friend until the revelations and developments of this day surprised him in the worst way possible. Nonetheless, the tiefling keeps his poise, answering Graxx questions efficiently: "Yes, let us move this conversation inside, to the study room. You may bring your weapons but we'll need your companion to refresh the truth spell."
Over the next minutes, the soldiers help set up the new venue and wait for Senitir's last spell to run its course. They bring Chaab's and Caah's unconscious bodies along, but Senitir's and Yalek's dead bodies are left outside after being covered. A few soldiers stay behind to guard the bodies. Durring these preparations, Ekmong spends some time whispering orders to some soldiers, who run off to presumably see to them. After some more minutes, the group finds itself sitting around a medium-sized table. The seats are pulled a bit closer together so that the spell properly affects all. Even Caah and Chaab are propped up on chairs; their hands and legs are tied up to such chairs and most of their equipment has been stripped from them (OOC: placed on the corner of the study, some of it looks quite nice.)
Aleyd casts Zone of Truth and verbally confirms all within the circle are affected, although nearly a full minute passes before she is able to deliver this confirmation. (OOC: Those within the new circle and on the table are Neya, Graxx, Doozey, Utar, Ekmong, Cron, Litta, Aleyd, Moneus, Chaab, and Caah. I assumed CRAP would be willing to submit to the spell again.)
Ekmong breaks the silence: "We'll need to get answers from one of these two unconscious conspirators, although I doubt they'd know where Senitir took the little Lord." Aleyd responds: "I have a little bit more magic in me, so I can heal them if we need them awake. Which one should we interrogate first?"
"Chaab is already afraid of Graxx, but Caah seemed particularly angry with me, almost a personal hatred. Either seems fine, perhaps we can leverage each of those to give us all some answers."
