Arnald feels himself wearing thin. He's thrown nearly all he has at this guy to no avail. He can't recall the last time he missed so many shots. Taking a deep breath he draws another arrow back to his cheek and steady's himself. Just one more shot. That's all he needs.
OOC: With Superiority Die
Superiority Dice You learn maneuvers that are fueled by superiority dice. Maneuvers enhance an attack in some way. You have 4d8 superiority dice per short rest.
Distracting Strike (Special) When you hit with a weapon attack, you can expend one superiority die to add the total to the damage roll and the next attack roll against the target by an attacker other than you has advantage if the attack is made before the start of your next turn.

Longbow vs. Captain: 21
Ola ducks beneath her shield, leaving it wide as she shifts to the side and strikes with as much speed as she can muster. Her sword knocks the captain's wide; Arnald's arrow skips off of the pirate's armor, but Uragum times the opening perfectly, throwing a vicious punch to the pirate's neck that drops him to the deck. His final threats are lost as he coughs out his last breaths.
Beneath the ship, Sylyra explores the undamaged rooms. One looks rather plain, containing only a pair of bunks and empty storage trunks, but the other is much more lavish, and clearly the quarters of someone important. Inside, there are piles of coinage; gold, silver, and other more exotic forms of currency. There is also a matching set of religious idols that set with semi-precious gems that look quite valuable, sitting atop a pile of papers and journals atop a small writing desk.
In addition, there is a man-sized statue of a skeletal dragon, with glowing moonstones for eyes, standing in the corner of the room.
As far as Ola was concerned, the ship could burn - both of them, if bone ship could burn at all - and the faster the better. But they might needed some evidences, that could only be kept in the Ixas's quarters. Nowhere seen Sylyra had to be searching already, so, she did her best to keep the ship from breaking apart Shape Water to spread it over the most threatening (for ship's integrity) fires.
With that last blow, Uragum snorts at the captain. "The ship is ours now," he says to no one in particular. Putting his wand away he looks about.
"Lets get what we can from the rooms below and get off this ship." Uragum hollers and starts rushing for the the deck below but not before he steps through that healing magic right beside him.
Though time is of the essence, Sylyra's not ready to set off any traps by being hasty. He takes his time to search the room and its contents for traps, and also tries to discern whether there is magic afoot that threatens to lash out at him.

Sylyra Investigation: 17
Ola's magic begins to slowly make progress against the raging flames, but it quickly becomes evident that there is no salvaging either of the tangled ships. The pirates' ship, Audacity, has already started to sink beneath the waves, and this one is beginning to break apart. The fire has raged for too long, and the wood in some areas falls apart beneath the water.
Arnald and Uragum join Sylyra below the deck in the still-intact quarters, seeing the coins, statues, papers and journals on the desk. Sylyra is in the process of examining things carefully when they arrive. He finds no sign of traps within. Though the smaller religious idols do seem valuable, the human-sized statue of the dragon seems to be of a more special nature. The statue resembles a draconic skeleton, but living and in mid-flight, and it exudes an aura not unlike that of the idol discovered beneath Sokol Keep. There is a sense of foreboding and evil when looking upon it.
"I dont like that statue but I say we take it and bring it to a temple. It should serve as proof of the mission completion. That, and we take the notes and journal. Might tell of their real plans. Plus the gold, always the gold." Says Uragum. He will then cautiously try and take the statue up.
Sylyra looks almost pleased as Arnald and Uragum join him below deck. Almost. "You put down the captain, then?" he asks. When they affirm his assumption, and not finding any dangers, Sylyra pockets what he can.
OOC: Be sure to mention specifically what you are taking from the room (I'm assuming the coins of course, but I need to know what other items you are taking as well). There is enough time to gather what you would like, with Ola buying you time.
The statue is cumbersome, but between the three of you below deck, definitely possible to remove from the ship.
Uragum wants the notes/paper/journal on the desk. Could be good but will read later. If the others are willing to help, he'd like to take the magic statue.
"The statue will take all of our help. I think that one of the factions back home would be interested in it," he says while positioning himself to carry it.
We take it all: piles of coinage; gold, silver, and other more exotic forms of currency. There is also a matching set of religious idols that set with semi-precious gems that look quite valuable, sitting atop a pile of papers and journals atop a small writing desk. (OK, we don't take the writing desk. But does it have drawers?) In addition, there is a man-sized statue of a skeletal dragon, with glowing moonstones for eyes, standing in the corner of the room. (We'll grab the big statue last, on our way out, of course.)
After helping them grab everything, Arnald takes a moment to look around to see if they've missed anything, if there's any hidden compartments, false bottoms in any drawers or chests, etc. If he doesn't find anything new he walks over to the big statue. "I'm sure the factions would like it, but maybe we should have it checked for magic before just turning it over to one of them. Also, now that I'm thinking about it, how in Mystra's magical socks are we going to carry this back to town? I can't see strapping it on a horse."
Without waiting for an answer Arnald grabs the statue to see if he can move it solo. Quickly realizing that it's a bad idea he let's go and waits for the others to help.
In total, you collect 500 silver pieces, 500 electrum pieces, and 75 gold pieces from various surfaces of the room. The desk and its few drawers hold nothing but sheets of loose parchment and bound journals; most contain writing. The larger statue feels unnaturally cold to the touch, sending shivers down your spines as you lift the unwieldy piece.
The blaze below decks has been mitigated slightly, but the increased smoke from the firefighting attempts and the damage to the ship have almost eliminated visibility anywhere else except for the stairs leading above deck. The smoke seems to chase you out of the stairway as you emerge to see Ola fighting her losing battle against the ship's fire. Pieces of the far side of the deck continue to crumble, and the ship has begun to list slightly toward the sinking Audacity.
OOC: Added 125 sp, 125 ep, and 18 gp to each character's inventory. This leaves 3 gp and the two smaller idols to be claimed.
"We better get to the boat and away from the ship remains!" shouted Ola through the wind. She did not worry much about herself, but swim at this weather for others could be fatal. She tried to clear the path to the boat and was the last one to get in.
Hearing that threat Uragum gives a little roar and swings his fist. "Your time here is done!" He aims to puncture his neck.
Attack: 24 Damage: 5
If he thinks he can get there without endangering himself, Sylyra will check out the rooms.

Ola did not try to save the ship, only to keep it afloat long enough for everyone to check the banks and get to the boat they came on.

How bulky and heavy is the large statue?
Seeing Sylyra grabbing stuff, Arnald joins in grabbing things. He sees Sylyra eyeing the statue, "You thinking we can lift that?"
