“After collecting my item I feel my memories return, though feel that I am still at only a fraction of my previous strength, which I would wager is true for the rest of you.” Leto says, acknowledging the current truce. “We clearly all have different end goals, and many of us were at odds in our... ‘previous lives?’ For lack of a better word... But for now we all share a goal. Mylene knew this, but she has acknowledged to me that working under one banner, while a noble goal, ultimately failed.”Mylene nods in agreement ((for now, for these small things, I don’t think it’s unfair to add this flavor for her character... once Iz comes back hopefully he wont mind...)), as Leto continues. “That said, there is no reason that we cannot share information from opposite sides of the same table, as our current goals seem to coincide.”
Mylene lets Leto do the talking, though it is out of character for her. She is not a foolish woman either, and has realized she cannot badger you into following her, especially now that she has her memories more fully-restored. She would nod as Leto lays out his thoughts, but stay back sipping her wine, her eyes more focused on Vilana than the others, wondering what the other dragonlords will do once memories are restored.
As each of you touch your item you are flooded with memories. You recall your life, in its totality, up to when you were in your height of power as a dragonlord. You remember much of the others as well, knowing that the nine of you were powers that made kings and queens tremble in their castles.
Naivara just sort of stares at the boots, unsure of what to say next, "That... explains a lot... but not what actually caused all this."
“And that, exactly, is our new goal.”Leto says, sitting up straighter, finally getting to the point. “Up until now we didn’t know who we were, or had only fragments. Now I believe we know everything, and we had power! The ears of kings and nobles! What possibly could have cursed us to this place? What would dare?!”Clenching his fist as a fire burns behind his eyes.

Honor blinks. "Power, aye. Though freedom was of more use to me." She shrugs hesitantly, still looking at the claw in her hand. "We were already assuming the gods were involved, now I'm guessing that might have been more direct than I thought."
Tessa kneels upon the ground, the armor draped across her knees as she clutches it to her chest. He eyes are unfocused as she revels in her memories. She stares about this dismal place and internally languishas at all that was taken from her.
She recalls her organization of cutthroats, fences, pirates, smugglers, swashbucklers, and thieves that she had built into a terror along the Menagerie Coast, The Indigo Brotherood. They controlled virtually all forms of naval commerce either via bribes, kick backs, pay offs, protection extortion, or outright piracy when needed.
The Indigo Sails counted nearly 100 ships within their fleet. Tessa Stormdancer, The Storm Queen, was ever careful to not allow; but a few ships to gather together so as to not alarm the nations to pull their fleets to take on the menace that preyed on each of them equally.
Each ship sworn to her service shared a portion of their tale. This way the Brotherhood grew in power and had the resources to maintain their vast fleet in peak readiness. At the heart of the Brotherhood was The Storm Queen, always eager to lead her brethren either into battle or into a feasthall. At Tessa's right hand was Quar. Quar was a gnomish professor of arithmetic who had a sharp tongue and fell victim to his noble patrons. They sold him into slavery. Tessa saved the former academic from his master's. She freed him and recognizing his capabilities set him to bring organization to her already growing chaotic organization.
She thinks about Quad and all of the others she knows not what happened to them. How much time had passed? Would she ever get back home?
Naivara nods, "Ya, the gods defiantly could have had their hand in this whole thing."
She did take pause though. Her family had always taught her about the importance of the balance of nature. That civilization and the natural world can coexisist so long as the balance was preserved. That's what she always wanted to do, what she strived to do. She just wanted people to listen to what she had to say, though she rarely herself ever appeared. There was always so much to do, that she had to be very careful as to when she did make an appearance.
Kierro's eyes go wide remembering his past life, and the people he had fought alongside to protect the realm. He wasn't able to be everywhere at once or help everyone in the world, but having reliable friends nearly everywhere was the next best thing. He takes a breath and comes back to his senses.
"I suppose we should head back to the ship then; we promised we'd help with investigating the Tower of Storms and the ship losses."
"Let's go then". Vilana put on her ring and as everyone here was washed away with the flood of old memories. She did not share them, though, and was just looking sometimes at one or another of the dragonlord with each new memory.
Seeing that there is a bit of cooperation happening, Leto looks to the raven on the table and it suddenly disappears. He then gives it instructions to go to Walter with the troops waiting with their mounts to start shuttling everyone back to the ship. They will follow soon.
Looking to the group he asks “This tower to which you head? What is there that needs to be investigated?”
Tessa blinks her eyes as the rush of memories fade. She looks about her once more. She shakes her head to clear the last of the confusion. She says to Leto, "We accepted a task from the Neverwinter Harbor Master to investigate the reason for losing ships heading south from Neverwinter in exchange for passage to our gear."She then turns to others, "The Tower of Storms and the cliffs where the crew cast out their captain were the most likely areas to search." Tessa pauses and says to Leto and Mylene with difficulty, "Thank you for securing our items. How did you two arrive here so quickly?"
“Ah. Then your investigation is complete.” Leto says, very nonchalantly. “There is a group of bird people there who have been commanded by their god to not let people pass. There was no reason to start a conflict with them, as we needed sea transport regardless, so went south to procure and ship and crew. With that done, you can safely return to the Harbor Master and give your report. For our part, we were considering heading to a city up north called Waterdeep. Some of our crew wished to return home after this was complete, and we have another contact with whom we’d like to check in.”
Kierro stares a bit blankly. "If they're the cause of the lost ships, then there very much is reason to confront them - they've hampered trade to the region and killed the sailors aboard those ships. Our investigation would only be half-finished if we were to leave them to their own devices."
“Your task is complete.”Leto says, sighing. “And who is to say that they are in the wrong? If invaders attempted to go through Neverwinter, and were pushed back or destroyed, would you similarly feel the need to confront those in Neverwinter? Those at the tower are simply defending what is theirs, others should know to go around. Unless you claim that the tower isn’t theirs? But perhaps that should be left to those of this world. An investigation implies finding information, which you have now done. Deliver that, and let the natives handle their own squabbles.”
"Still,"Naivara says, "isn't it better to go and try to talk to them? See if we can get them to stop hurting innocent people. Try to come to a compromise?"
"And uh... sorry for being accusatory... I just... um, I keep hearing other people say it," Naivara says.

Latrius snorts at Leto's comment.
"Please. It's hardly hidden, red eyes aren't exactly common among wood elves. And believe me when I say it wasn't completely . . .intentional."
He'll pick up his item.

Latrius shudders slightly as his memories flood back into him. He shakes his head then.
"Right. There's that settled. Cool the dramatics, Leto, we know nearly nothing about this place and whether it's a curse or not."
