Zhuti looks around at the chaos in the street. She wants to give the one living wizard some pain, but he's still masked by magic. She glances at the two flying Lichs still pummeling them with magic and decides to target the one that had teleported Nuzej away. She finds that calm center point in herself and focus' Selune's divine power and then drives her arm towards the floating Lich. A brilliant bolt of energy streaks across the space and slams into him, the glorious energy spraying across his form and leaving him glittering with energy. His glowing points of light that form his eyes seem to glance her way with anger.
From around the corner one of the enemies appears, and unleashes two crossbow bolts. They whizz one after another across the gap but before they can strike any of the party the slam off an invisible wall and go tumbling away harmlessly.
The invisible mage, for those that can see him, looks desperate and near his end. He glances around seeking out some way to continue his mission without dying himself. He limps a bit closer to a couple of the other warriors, and then casts a spell. Himself, and two others are consumed by brief vortex's of magic. No one can spot where he re-emerges, but the one firing the crossbow vanishes from his corner and appears behind the group around another corner. Surprised...the man steps behind the corner for shelter. The other man, who'd been chucking spears, vanishes and appears almost in the midsts of the group. He glances at all the suddenly nearby foes and stops reaching for another spear, and goes for his sword instead.
Two other warriors who'd come stumbling out of one part of the Inn glances around, take deep breaths, while hacking out smoke, and then come charging towards the group.

Simaal says "go without me, meet in one day at the main market." If A9 is where the crossbowmen and in theory mage went, Simaal rapidly moves next to the A9, one square below him threatening him most violently making javelin poking motions at him, but "obviously" has no actions left after "running" (which was the fly move again) while squinting at the hopefully nearby mage (can only see if within 30 feet of A9 square DC 19 Con save, nothing if saved, otherwise 18 damage + prone as he feels himself slammed against the ground like a chew toy. Although this enemy may not be the priority, and knowing he might simply be taking the bait the invisible wizard set forth, Thyrius nonetheless is uncomfortable with the sudden proximity of the spear/sword warrior. Taking advantage of its temporary distraction, the black cat pounces.
-> Attack vs A15 with Dragon’s Wrath Dagger (Wakened): -> 1st stab (Spirit Shroud, Eldritch Maul, Lifedrinker): Attack: 30 Damage: 37 -> 2nd stab (Thirsting Blade, Spirit Shroud, Eldritch Maul, Lifedrinker): Attack: 32 Damage: 30 -> Sneak Attack rolled separately as it can apply to either attack, so whichever one hits: 16 (if crit, add another: 11) -> On a crit, any enemy within 5ft of A15 takes 5 acid damage. -> If one of the attacks hits, A15 takes an additional 12 necrotic damage (Wails of the Grave). Simaal moves away from the group, like a zephyr that can't be contained, zipping away around the corner. There the group sees him glance around, and then looking less then pleased he glances at the crossbow man and glares at him meaningfully. The man is tossed backwards, slammed against the wall and then tossed the ground by some invisible force. He lands with a heavy thud on the ground, groaning from the invisible force that's just tossed him about.
Meanwhile, Thyrius takes the offering given to him by the mage. The black cat practically slides forward towards the warrior. He blade comes up in a single blow the cuts the man through the front. He could have survived if it wasn't for the wave of hollowly screaming spirits that swirl in the wake of the blow, pulling at the mans life force. His eyes roll into the back of his head, his mouth opening in a silent scream as he falls to his knees, and then tumbles lifelessly forward. Looking down for a moment at the fallen foe, Thyrius then slips back to the shelter of the invisible magical wall.
The initial Lich floating nearby glances down at the group, then glances around. Still glowing from Zhuti's magical blow, he seems at a loss for a moment, and then just unleashes another blast of magic that seems to suck all the life out of ground and air, a blackened scar appearing on the ground as the third wave of killing magic washes across it.
Everyone (including Simaal, it's a wide radius), make a DC 20 Con Save. 26 necrotic damage, save for half. (Everyone except Simaal has advantage on the save, and takes NO damage if you save successfully.)
Saves:

Attack on Thyrius: 19 Damage: 15
Attack on Thyrius: 13 Damage: 9
Attack on Thyrius: 18 Damage: 7
Attack on Thyrius: 16 Damage: 14
Then, from around the the corner of a building to the north east, those who can see invisible things notice the wizard step out from around the corner. He weaves a spell and unleashes a fireball. The fireball looks like it's going to streak past and miss everyone, but then explodes to one side of the wall of force. However, the blast only gets part of the group.....
Nuzej, Toc, Xemnez, Kit-kat (auto-fail). : DC 17 Dex save, 27 fire damage, save for half none with advantage.
Saves:
Toc: 24
One of the knights advances across the battle field towards the group.
Toc mentally mutters...."Please...can we get out of here now...dealers choice on the location...but far away..."
Nuzej rises from under the tarp, grabs some dirt from the ground and puts in a pocket, and moves to the middle of the group, or at least within 10 feet of everyone (save Simaal). He peeks inside his pouch at his belt, confirming the stone is inside, keeping the movement under his cloak so it cannot be seen from above.
He looks at Toc and says verbally, “anywhere? Do you have a memento in mind?”
If Toc hands over a preferred stone or stick associated with a place he recommends they go, Nuzej will go there. Otherwise he will target either Mirica or Fianna - either through a coaster at Fianna’s bar or through a memento he’s kept from Mirica. He says, “ready? hold on…”
He casts teleport and brings along the party, Zhuti, and Kyriani (and if he can, Kit Kat). He’s ready to react with a counterspell to a counterspell should it be needed.
My dude Lich with the eldritch blasts(?) needs to roll a WIS save {DC 19} before attacking Thyrius. On failure, they must choose a new target or waste the attack or spell.
Light seems to briefly flare up and peek out beyond the back of Xem's clothing as the wave of necrotic energy washed over the group, seemingly protecting or bolstering him against it. But with little in the way of cover to leap behind without endangering others, the younger Leonin proves too slow to avoid much of the flame. Yet with a grunt of pain Xemnez rights himself quickly and glares up at the mage responsible, before then having his attention drawn away at Nuzej's words... then again by Zhuti next.
Acting somewhat in hast if there'd even been time enough to try, Xemnez chuffs and goes to picked up Kat to at least heft her smoking remains onto a shoulder. "She'll find no rest here. Enough attention has been drawn to her by dragging her out with us." He'd say had the time to do so, before looking to Nuzej and nodding. 'Let's away. Anywhere. We sort out the rest later.' He'd add mentally to all over the link if had yet remained in place after everything that had happened thus far.
(OOC: Further actions, editifications, and etc to be reserved following DM dictations on what is to happen)
Tomas ran his finger over around the stained circle on the top of the old round wooden table. This table had seen a more interesting life than he had. It had been here. It had SEEN things. He brushed the crumbs from the crusty bread off of his uniform, noticing a spot of tomato soup on his dark blue collar. He licked his finger and rubbed at the spot. The tavern around him was relatively full, as it typically was at lunch time. A few locals hung out in groups while most of the room was full of travellers who’d come just to sit in this place.
The bar, once known as the Weathered Vane, colloquially as Ted’s Place, and then eventually renamed the Dragon’s Den, was likely as famous an Inn as could be found along the Sword Coast. The place sat near the top of the hill, just down from the fortress, in the coastal town of Port Llast. A tiered deck easily the size of the entire inside stretched along the outside of the tavern affording an amazing view of the ocean far below. But Tomas sat inside, he'd seen the view. The deck was always the busiest with the visitors anyway. The town of Port Llast clung to the side of a hill that dove towards a rocky deep port below. It was an unimportant town, a days travel north of the great city of Neverwinter.
Tomas sighed deeply, recalling the recent past of the city….reminded of the attack that had occurred by the smell of free cut wood and the sounds of hammering still coming from beyond the taverns walls, out in the city. Repairs had been ongoing for months.
In the not so recent past the town had been sacked by a raiding part of Frost Giants….but the assault had been cut short by the appearance of a gold dragon. The gold dragon had come to roost and forever call Port Llast its home, which is why this place was now stuffed with tourists. The dragon lived beneath the Inn that was now very appropriately known as the Dragon’s Den.The mother of the dragon, a small fey girl with a fierce personality, ran the establishment, on the days she deemed worth showing her face. Which were few and far between. Today, as usual, the bar tender was Dainly, and he was keeping the place running.
For all the excitement that had come of the event, Tomas had witnessed none. No, he wasn’t here when the giants came, he’d been visiting an uncle at a farm. No, he hadn’t seen the great heros that had saved the day. No, he hadn't fought side by side with great wizards against a swarm of giants like Malik. No, he hadn't saved the life of a little girl like Duncan. Yes, yes, he saw the dragon that lived below…but…it mostly just sat around and was very small, and no, it had never talked to him.
Instead, today was the same as many Selday in the town. Relatively quiet, though with stormy weather threatening the south sea. It would be hours before it might arrive. He sighed again, soon it would be time to leave behind the empty bowl and dish in front of him and return to his patrol. A slow walk about a sleepy town where things only every happened when he was away.
The table in front of him lifted into the air of its own accord, throwing Tomas, his bowl, and plate into the air and backwards. The event was accompanied by a loud crack in the air as reality tore open with a flash of light and a spray of cosmic mists, as the table smashed and broke in half...as it landed with a crunch and crack. A moment later the hole in reality was gone and the space was filled with a jumbled mass of figures. A strong scent of burning and ash came with them…acrid smoke filling the air, along with something else…an intense smell of rot…of death that seemed to cling to everything.
There was momentary chaos in the bar as Tomas pushed himself across the wooden floor boards and away from the visitors, while other patrons scattered away in fright. As the moment stretched on and there was no immediate threat, there was a moment to examine the smoking, bleeding, scorched group that had appeared before them…..a dead body on the ground near them and another dead body slung over a shoulder.A bloody axe was clutched by a scorched looking golden maned lion man, all muscles and looming size who had the body over his shoulder….while shadows seemed to cling and swarm about a black skinned lion man with a potent looking dagger covered in ichor who was favoring his side. An elf clutching a blade and a gnarled staff stood, his face covered in ash, his grey eyes looking out fiercely challenging anyone around him. A battered, injured human with a full head of hair and a staff of his own was at the center of the group. A woman with foreign looking eyes and a blade of her own out stood beside them.
Tomas’ eyes sparkled with excitement and he held back the urge to pump his fist….he was HERE for this!

Simaal watches as Xemnez picks up the body of Kit Kat...and then Nuzej, his eyes scanning the two flying liches, ready to battle through counter spells....manages to let loose a teleportation spell....a bubble of reality opening around them and swallowing them all whole...leaving behind only blood, ash, and a smouldering tarp in the middle of the street. From a distance the screech of griffons can be heard on the wind.
One of the Lichs seems to react quickly enough the vanishing act. He vanishes of his own accord, and appears around the corner near Simaal. His next target already chosen smoothly, the undead's cold calculating actions harsh and decisive. The creature holds out its hand and unleashes a wave of blasts at Simaal.

Crossbow man save vs Circle of death DC 20 : 5
The man, battered, bleeding, is somehow still alive. He pulls himself up off of the ground and advances on Simaal, weaving like he's about to collapse.
Attack on Simaal: 8 Damage: 5. (If struck: DC 15 Con save. 29 poison damage, save for half.)
Attack on Simaal: 25 Damage: 5. (If struck: DC 15 Con save. 31 poison damage, save for half.)
Simaal hears a brief "woosh *snap*" of something and sees the invisible mage has also appeared behind him, only twenty feet away. The sound of feet pounding in his direction from around the corner can also be heard.
In his mind, Toc's mental voice comes with urgency, "You getting away ok?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Simaal looks at the sudden opponents closing in on him, magically appearing all about. The air around him buffets and roils. As Simaal bolts....streaking away from the man in front of him, the guy tries to stab but his blade wavers wildly arcing back at himself...
Attack of Opportunity on Simaal: 18 Damage: 8. (If struck: DC 15 Con save. 25 poison damage, save for half.) (Cloak of Air, if missed, attack on self instead: 16 Damage: 7. (If struck: DC 15 Con save. 20 poison damage, save for half.))
Simaal is like a blur, leaving them behind as he rushes away down the street and around a corner, out of sight....
The man who'd been stabbing Simaal looks down, surprised to find his blade inside his own gut. His eyes are open with shock as he tumbles forward and lands in a heap on the ground.
Zhuti takes stock of the new situation quickly. Clearing a table of dishes (and patrons) with a sweep of her sword, she calls out, "Lay Kyriani here, quickly!" She sheathes the single-edged green-tinged sword and reaches in to a small bag covered by her (seemingly not much damaged) cloak, pulling out an enormous diamond. With an unreadable look at Xemnez, she points to another table, "Kit Kat there," and tosses him the diamond. "Hold on to that."
"Are we out of danger?" she snaps at nobody in particular.

"Are we out of danger?" she snaps at nobody in particular.
ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he).
Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
