Feeling rather flushed from the battle, Hansel takes a moment to channel Sune's power in cleaning any slime and grime from his clothing, and mending any tears in the fabric, as well as offering to do the same for the others. He then finds a quiet corner, sweeps the dirt away as best he can, lays some cloth down on the floor to protect against the dust, and begins a small ritual. Propping his shield up against the wall, he spends the remainder of the hour looking at his reflection while brushing his flowing golden locks, preening his eyebrows, powdering his nose, whitening his teeth, applying lip gloss, cleansing and moisturising his skin, removing dirt from his fingernails, and so on and so on...
((This will be standard short rest behaviour for Hansel. Have different plans for downtime, and will prefer to officially level up then.))

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
Seeing the group needs some rest, Mr.Dark takes a load off, sitting against one wall. In his hand he holds one of the gold coins from the treasure they'd found. It was a mottled, old strange coin...some sort of trick coin since it had a head on both sides, though one looked angry while the other happy. He flipped the coin in the air, catching it unerringly, and flicking it again. The coin made a pleasant ringing sound with each flick as it spun in the air, the light from the nearby lantern flashing off of the thing. He glanced about at the group. It had been a fierce though brief battle. He needed to remind himself that he wasn't in the army anymore. These weren't hardened soldiers. He would need to be more than the archer on the back line flinging bolts if they were going to succeed. The thought made him uncomfortable. He preferred no responsibility...just tagging along and helping but not looked to for the tough choices or to guide when the path forward wasn't clear. Well, Lady Luck had guided him this far, and now he was being pushed into another role. So be it. If he could help keep some of these folk alive by letting his experience guide them, then he supposed it was...in some way...his responsibility.
He sat up and walked over to Scott, sitting down. "You did well in that last fight. Look, we did some protection detail in my unit a few times. It means more than just standing in front of someone and taking a hit. It means treating each doorway like a potential enemy, each intersection as an ambush site. You can't be overly cautious of course, but...it's more than just walking two steps in front of someone, it means being more methodical with your approach to potential danger. I'll try to help you with that for the rest of the halls. But..you're certainly earning your pay. Keep up the good work."
He gets back up and walks over to where he was, and sits down with a sigh, pulling out some jerky. Well...maybe not the most inspiring sharing of wisdom, but...you had to start somewhere. He flicks the coin once more. It flashes as it spins, the gleam shining in bursts across the room with each rotation until it lands, heavy in his hand. The coin, warm in his hand, felt like it belonged there...and he let out a satisfied sigh.

Scott looks up at Mr Dark as he shares his military experience and at the end of nods slowly. “Thanks. I’ll try and keep that in mind.”
After he walks away his thoughts turn inward. Was that three... no it was two... I think it was two near death experiences to the same kind of creature. I hate them...
He then spends the remaining time of the groups short rest alternating between speaking with the Dragonborn and studying the ochre jelly.

During his rest, Xenophon feels tougher after his two most recent battles and getting some experience working with a group. He now feels that if he really needed to in a battle, he could use a surge of energy to make one big strike.

Xenophon: Topaz Dragonborn Fighter (ixi's Dragon of Icespire Peak)
Mr.Dark, a golden coin perpetually in his left hand, flicks it into the air and catches it deftly as the group stands and prepares to breach the next door. He tosses the coin once more, and then pulls out his crossbow. "Best stand to either side of the door, push it open but do not enter right way. Those of us standing away from the door can get the first look through with some light."
He bends down to open the shudders fully on his hooded lantern. The flame inside that he was using seems to have gone out, but....the light is still there....shining regardless. (Light spell). Mr.Dark doesn't seem to notice the light and lack of flame, but simply shines his lantern at the closed door, strapping the lantern to his side, before pulling out his crossbow and slipping a fully mended bolt into the rail.
Dazzlyn hopped too without much thought, following after Kaemgen’s orders. It took until Norbus cleared his throat and gave Dazzlyn a look for him to realize he wasn’t working for the group. Although Norbus didn’t seem to pleased, Dazzlyn would shrug. He was indifferent and just happy to assist.
A bit of a short rest was a good suggestion. Taking a breather to reflect on your personal experiences prove to be fruitful, invigorating some of your energies prior to setting out through the rest of the temple.
When Kaemgen would crack open the dusty doorway he’d reveal another long corridor. As it’d curve to the south, it appears to connect to the last door you just opened, recognizing the rubble pile that harboured those nasty nose nuggets. Saving the run around, someone could stand in doorway 3. Doing so, Kae would be able to see you on the other side, confirming the hallway connects.
"I guess it's the same tactic but now the last door (Door #1)? If that dead ends or doubles back then we can discuss searching the hallways or possibly trying to move the rubble..." Ketch would suggest in a questioning way, and then wander over to the last unopened secret door that they know of.
Continuing to light the way for the group, Auric feels rested and ready to face more oozes—if need be. The glowing dragon orb held high, he backs away from the dead end and awaita the opening of the next passage.

Kaemgen mutters something about clergy and showmanship and secrets, but basically shrugs and waits for Hansel to finish before moving on. “We can do a proper inspection once we’re sure we’re alone,” Kaemgen did suggest, but didn’t push the matter either.

Mr.Dark pads over to the hallway with the door, covering the length of it with his crossbow. He flips his coin. 1. Odd he'll open the door, even he'll wait for someone else to.
He crouches down and waits for Hansel to be done, and for the rest of the group to come push the door open while he 'covers' it.
Scott walks up to the door and presses his ear against it. Listening for the sound of any squishing boogers (or anything else he can hear for that matter. Passive 14, if roll preferred: 21)
As Hansel ponders, his eyes scan the seemingly pointless corridor. Recognizing the same indentations and markings as before, it didn’t take long for him to reveal the secret opening.
Mr. Dark tosses his coin with a ting. It decides he’d be patient and wait while Dazzlyn finds himself hovering over Kaemgen with a torch.
Marblebeard cautiously listens at either door. After some time he’s able to confirm that there are no threats beyond corridor #1’s door or corridor #2-3’s either.
The group was free to choose which direction they wish to proceed.
Mr.Dark wanders back, "What is taking so long.....oh...Hansel found a door. Neat. Lets do that one." He goes into the hallway so he can see the doorway, but is 10 feet back, and waits for someone else to open the door.

“Let’s clear out these foul puddings and be done with it” Kaemgen agreed. He was ready to push through wherever needed. “We’ve do got other tasks as well that need doing..”
With a little push on the proper side of the secret door, it opens with just as much effort as the others. It’d reveal another corridor that stretches further towards the east. There were no foul pudding to greet you. At about halfway through the hall there are two doors on either side, one to the north and one to the south. Reaching the end of the corridor, there’s a heap of rubble, evidence of a collapse.
"Maybe someone should keep an eye on the door we don't open," Kaemgen suggests. "Just in case there is something with intelligence that may think to come up behind us?" But with the word of caution spoken, he is ready to open the door once more.
