Everyone would hold their actions for when Hansel was done sounding his alarm. Bubbled and bursting with protests, he'd eventually dance out of the way. He'd tuck himself behind his golden companion while both dragonborns unleash a synchronized breath attack to sterilize the room.

Both bundles of bugs brave the burst blown their way. Neither nimble enough for Xeno's necrotic breath, the maggots however, dodge Auric's flames.
Hungry and exposed, the swarms disperse! They rustle forward, advancing on the dragonborns. First they'd invade their space by circling their feet, then they'd go for the ankles and up the legs. While the insects attempt to swarm Xeno, the maggots aggressively follow the source of radiant light, threatening to infest those who stand in it's path.
On Xeno Attack: 20 Damage: 8
On Auric Attack: 17 Damage: 7 On hit: Constitution save (DC12) or contract a disease: 2 4: The creature’s hit point maximum decreases by 2, and the reduction can’t be removed until the disease ends.

Seeing his bolts have done some damage, and his allies are being swarmed by the bugs, Mr.Dark...feeling somewhat ineffective....just fires a couple more bolts into some clumps of bugs, hoping to send bunches of them flying and splattering against walls.

Kaemgen sees the attack and then looks at his rapiers. With the creepy crawlers all over his teammates the pointy slashy route seems perhaps a bit counter productive. Instead he drops his weapons, reaches into his pack and grabs the blanket from his bedroll. Kaemgen quickly rolls it up and starts slapping at the maggots upon Xeno, attempting to crush them without harming Xeno himself.
Blankie Attack: 12 for 4 damage.
((Assuming Unarmed attack for the improv attack but if you prefer different then just let me know...))
With the combined assault from the group, the insects and maggots did not stand a chance. First roasted, then whacked, poked and squished. One by one they perished.

Treasure Around the skeleton’s neck hangs a holy symbol of Abbathor: a tiny jeweled dagger on a silver chain. The symbol is inscribed with Dwarvish runes.
Kaemgen will talk with the dwarves and inquire if there’s reason to believe moving rubble would have a worthwhile outcome. “Seems some of the collapsed halls likely connect. Would that be it, likely? Or there reason to think there’d be more rooms?”
They’re dwarves and archeologists, Kaemgen assumes their guess is better than his own.

Once done with is bolts he puts his bag down with a sigh. "Well, in the army, i learned the value of hard work."
He bends down, picks up a rock with his callused hands, waddles down the hallway with it a ways and puts it down. Then he goes back for another. It seems he's intent on doing some digging.

Here, let's make this easier. I don't want to get too sweaty - it affects my complexion. Hansel directs Scott to stand near Mr Dark, then he takes the next place in line, calls to the others to continue the chain, and encourages everyone to pass the rocks down the hallway and into the main room, facilitating the excavation.

Kaemgen is, begrudgingly, willing to do his part. He doesn’t grumble about it and is actually a bit eager at first… but nobles aren’t used to putting in a full days hard work and the novelty wears off quickly.
He’s also still eager for dwarves involvement. And input. Questioning them on what they can expect to find, if the excavation will be worth while, the best area of rubble to dig at so as to ensure no further collapses and such. Cause dwarves know about this kind of thing…
