Moss clings to the stonework throughout this hall. The mosaic floor depicts a tall bird using its long, pointy beak to pin a monstrous frog-like creature with tentacles sprouting from its shoulders. Set into the far wall is a set of heavy stone doors.
Beyond the stone door, an empty pedestal stands in the middle of this chamber. Six statues face it from alcoves on the walls. They depict bare-chested humans with the heads of different animals. From left to right, the heads resemble those of a lizard, a jaguar, a lobster, a toucan, a bat, and a frog.

Breathing a sigh of relief at momma-croc's departure, Irommek thanks Brunella and heads into the shrine. Looking at the the stone-work in the floor, he chuckles and says, "Felix, this is your kind of bird. Our last run in with a giant frog wasn't very much fun."
Walking further into the shrine, Irommek frowns at the empty pedestal. Walking over to the first statue, Irommek takes a closer look at the human with a lizard's head and does the same to the other statues around the room, careful not to touch anything.
OOC: inspection on the statues for any cuneiform or signs that they're more than just old statues (12)
A crawlway appears in the shadow of the statue with the bat head. The crawlway entrance is hidden behind an illusory wall and appears to be 2 feet wide and 3 feet high.
"Ach, that would be a tight fit even for a gnome."
Looking around he shrugs his shoulders and gets down on his hands and knees. "Well, let's get this done before it gets dark. I need to spend more time with Kurma tonight to perfect a couple of spells."
Whistling an old dwarf mining tune, Irommek disappears down the crawlway.
Oniss follows Felix in torch in hand careful not to burn himself or Felix. Oniss moves the torch near the tiles hoping to see if the flame or shadows show anything.
"You done let's hurry up we only got an hour."

Irommek examines the pedestal finds a riddle inscribed on its base. Unlike other inscriptions in the trial chambers, this riddle is etched in Common:
The statues do not give away any more distinctive features.
Kurma detecs abjuration magic on the pedestal and a glimpse of illusion magic from the walls.
Brunella ponders the riddle. "Comes with sunshine, leaves with night. Is it a shadow? They disappear at night."
Brunella Wildheart, Dwarf Barbarian,Tomb of Annihilation
Nyx, Fairy Cleric, Descent Into Avernus
"Sounds right." Gertrude states simply. "Maybe we need to cast a shadow onto the pedestal?"
Felix will follow the group as they try to solve the riddle and as they do he will search the area looking for any traps or loot.

Felix Windfall(Human-V Lv.7 Rogue) killed in ToA, Vallan Houndstrider (Halfling Ghostwise Lv.1 Fighter) in DiASurprisingly, even with a meticulous search, Felix doesn't detect any trap or loot.
"I'm a wee bit height challenged, but I'll see if I can cast a shadow on it with this setting sun..."
Walking around, Irommek leans and stretches and dances around the empty pedestal.
Oniss will pull out a torch and cast Prestidigitation to light it hoping to casts some shadows where needed.

"Well who is the brave soul going first?"

"Some strange grid in here. Come on in and see if you can help figure out what it means. There's room for a couple more people."
Felix will head in and like to investigate the wall, knocking on the wall for maybe a hollowed in section.

There is no hollow section on the tiled wall.
Oniss brings the flame in the chamber, but no detail is reveal with the light or shadow.
The only thing worth noticing is that some tiles are darker than the others.
