Felix is currently at the shrine's entrance, where the pillars are. All around him, vegetation is enhanced by a spike growth (20-foot radius). The area is difficult terrain and for every 5 you move in it, you take 2d4 piercing damage.
Irommek sees the strange frog creatures and is confused for a moment and then realization dawns on him as he looks over at Brunella.
"Don't you worry lass. I'll take care of those frooooooooo..."
Irommek is suddenly pulled back and feels the crushing strength of Brunella's hands even under his armor.
OOC: Strength check (18)
Barely succeeding in pulling himself free of Brunella, he tries to calm her.
"Brunella, look at me. Those are small, pebbled-sized versions of a giant frog. You can crush them! In fact, those little bastards are going to be like a drinking contest to get rid of a nasty hangover...ok maybe that only works for me. But my point is, harness your anger and take out what that slimy beastie did to you on those annoying little eaters of small flies!!!"
Al thought he cannot understand this language, Kurma reads that the creatures seems to be protecting their territory rather than hunting them. He steps in front of the group and, placing his mace in his belt, tries to look as peaceful as he can.
"Easy my friends, we started on a wrong foot here. Hold your Fire !"
Kurma reaches then in his bag for the magical Orb of Timeand offers it to their leader with two hand. " You see, my friend, this is for you. We're here to talk, not to hunt..."
Then without breaking eye contact with the Frog Leader, Kurma calls out for Oniss: "Oniss? a bit of help here. You're the charismatic one of the group. Do you understand them ? Can we show them we just want to talk?"
Oniss takes Kurmas lead and quickly cast Comprehend Languages on himself and places his hand skyward.
"No Harm!" He shouts to the frogmen and awaits a response.
//OOc from my understanding Comprehend Languages dose not allow me to speak the language. I would need to cast it on the frog leader if it is willing and does not know common. Correct?//

"Cra-cri! Crh-cru-cri?"
The spell Comprehend Language translates frog-gibberish to Oniss: "Hold every-frog! What do you mean?"
OOG Yes, the spell comprehend languages, is only for listening and reading, not speaking. As you try to speak with the Chief Grung, you can roll a Persuasion check. Initiative is on hold for now.
Brunella, hyperventilating and panicked, pulls on Irommek's arm with all her might, but does not dislodge the mighty fighter. Despite being pulled with the force of two horses, Irommek keeps a steady voice and calm demeanor as he talks to the terrified barbarian.
Brunella starts to breathe more slowly, and sees Kurma and Oniss raise their arms and speak to the frog king. Still not fully comprehending why everyone isn't running in a stampede away from the devil creatures, Brunella slowly crouches down. She is held fast by Irommek's gaze, and hides behind his shield, still shivering in fear.
"Peace, no fight" He then stops to see if the leader can understand him in any way but not before casting Message to the direction of Felix telling him
The Chief is not convinced: "CRAAAAAAA!", which the spell painfully translates as "ATTACK!"
But, during all these craziness, Inete was preparing a spell to dispell the thorny vegetation, which writhes away all the sudden.
The orange-skinned grungs all shot arrows at Felix.
Attack: 6 Damage: 9 Attack: 16 Damage: 5 Attack: 9 Damage: 4 Attack: 12 Damage: 5 and Felix must succeed on a DC 12 Constitution saving throw for each hit or take 2d4 poison damage.
Oniss, still holding his hands up sees the volley of arrows fly towards Felix and for a brief moment wonders how he has been such a moderately successful con artist all these years with such failures...he then shakes it away and thinks 'people and goblins I can con people and goblins.'
Others in the party may catch a quick glimpse of an uncomfortable smirk from Oniss before his focus returns to the matters at hand.
Holding his breath for a moment after hearing Oniss try to reason with them, he let out a sigh and shrugged his shoulders when he heard the bows twang and arrows fall around Felix. Still keeping eye contact with Brunella, he smiles at her reassuringly.
"Oh well, their funeral. How about a little divine-dwarven, frog-ass-kicking assistance sister? ...Um, I've never done this, so let's hope it works."
Whispering a prayer to Valkauna, Irommek blessed Brunella, Oniss and Felix.
“Huh, that was easier than I thought it would be.”
Offering Brunella his hand, he gave her a devilish grin. “What do you say we do a wee bit of revenge-hunting and dine on frog legs tonight?”
OOC: Bless Brunella (to boost her confidence), Felix, Oniss. Bless – For 1 min, add 1d4 to attacks and saving throws
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Gertrude looks with worry at Brunella: "You go girl, you're strong. Follow my lead, I will protect you!"
Then she runs towards the gold skinned grung on the hadrosaurus, her rage welling up while she runs. She concentrates to send out the protection again to everyone.... but nothing seems to happen. Her thoughts crumble, her concentrations wavers. When the grung boss comes into her vision, her rage reaches peak levels and out of nothing, a lightning strike thunders down on the creature (DC14 - 6 - half damage on success).
For a moment, Gertrude holds back. She is confused. What just happened? Instead of tiny icy shards protecting her friends, she sent out a blue arc for lightning right onto the headpiece of the golden grung. Her energy feels different too, less protective, more raw, more aggressive. She doesn't have time to think about what happened. She jumps forward and unleashes her greataxe on the grung leader:

Chief Grung DEX save 7
Musharib isn't surprised. These frogs are despicable as Batiri goblin. Better let the axe do the talk on the orange-skinned ones. Attack: 11 Damage: 13 Attack: 20 Damage: 10
The red grung chants a frog-song again. Vegetation rises up again, this time harmless, but thicker, very difficult to pass through.
The green ones, now aware of the danger, jump from the roof on the big mammal (Gertrude). Four of them attack the Goliath with daggers, the others three... just hug her! Attack: 10 Damage: 6 and Gertrude must succeed on a DC 12 CON saving throw or take 8 poison damage. Attack: 21 Damage: 3 and Gertrude must succeed on a DC 12 CON saving throw or take 5 poison damage. Attack: 22 Damage: 3 and Gertrude must succeed on a DC 12 CON saving throw or take 7 poison damage. Attack: 17 Damage: 3 and Gertrude must succeed on a DC 12 CON saving throw or take 6 poison damage. Grung Athletics checks: 4, 18, 7 (Gertrude must do three Athletics checks as well)
The gold grung just stays there, inhales as much as he can, then produces a most fastidious chirring noise. (Gertrude must succeed a DC 12 WIS saving throw).
