Ruvaar continues to climb toward the opening, with the intention of peeking his head through to see what lies beyond it before fully exiting the chute.
OOC: not sure if I have to roll again for this second round of movement, let me know
Chantrea keeps one eye on the wolves while she watches her companion make the climb up the chute. Her bow is at the ready, an arrow in her other hand in case of problems.
The wolf starts to feed on the corpse of the goblin and ignores Ruvaar (forgot that bit). The other wolves begin to yank against their chains. . the furthest one pulling violently to get at the goblin corpse - not wanting to be last. Chantrea notices that the bolt in holding the chain begins to give a little.
Ruvaar scrambles the rest of the way up the chute and takes in what he can through the opening without exposing himself.
Ruvaar: Through the opening you catch site of a large room.
Sacks and crates of looted provisions are piled up in the south end of this large cave. To the west, the floor slopes toward a narrow opening that descends into darkness (where Ruvaar is). To the north, the roar of falling water echos from beyond. In the middle of the cavern, the coals of a large fire smolder.
Around the fire are a goblin and a bugbear. The bugbear seems to be yelling at the goblin and you hear a low snarl from just out of sight to the north of the bugbear. The goblin is visibly shaking and nodding and pleading as he scurries around leaving to the north. The Bugbear heads out of sight to the north as well.
Lowblo (assuming you climb up carefully etc.and look around) You see down both passages and spot a goblin down the eastern passage who 2 does not seem to see you as his eyes dart back behind him and then toward the bridge.
Chantrea considers climbing up after Ruvaar, but is not very confident in her skills. She keeps watch on the wolves, ready to let an arrow fly if necessary.
Turning back to her companion, she whispers, as loudly as possible, "What do you see?"
Once reaching the top Ruvaar climbs out of the chute, and tries to remain in the shadows so that no occupant of the new room can see him. Following this he pulls his rope out of his pack and drops one end down the chute with the intention of helping Chantrea up the chute next. He purposely ignores his friend's question so as to not give his location away.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Chantrea watches Ruvaar, expectant of his response. When he remains silent, and lets the rope down instead, she nods, realizing enemies must be near.
The blonde woman secures her bow, takes a deep breath and grabs the end of the rope. She says a brief prayer to Sehanine Moonbow before starting her climb up the chute.

Bah, I am not getting updates properly! I will just check each evening.
MAIN TUNNEL
Lowblo makes his way to the along the side of the rope bridge to stay out of sight and then climbs up to a spot just out of sight of the tunnel ahead with his crossbow ready. You see a goblin return the the entrance of the cave to the east and start to look around toward the bridge. He is half exposed.
target with half cover has a +2 bonus to AC and Dexterity saving throws. A target has half cover if an obstacle blocks at least half of its body. The obstacle might be a low wall, a large piece of furniture, a narrow tree trunk, or a creature, whether that creature is an enemy or a friend. A target with three-quarters cover has a +5 bonus to AC and Dexterity saving throws. A target has three-quarters cover if about three-quarters of it is covered by an obstacle. The obstacle might be a portcullis, an arrow slit, or a thick tree trunk. A target with total cover can't be targeted directly by an attack or a spell, although some spells can reach such a target by including it in an area of effect. A target has total cover if it is completely concealed by an obstacle.
Behind him Daeris carefully makes her way up to the side of the bridge staying out of sight.
Nelly waits anxiously for her turn to climb looking around in anticipation when( 15 ) she notices a goblin head peak around the corner of the passage up ahead. The creature is just about to shout when it makes eye contact with the dwarf and manages a slight yelp.
UP THE SHAFT
Ruvaar as carefully as possible pulls himself out of the shaft into the room. (Roll a d20+2 with advantage - or roll d20+2 twice for stealth) He catches sight of the bugbear moving toward the northern entrance and yelling something into the next room (it sounds like he is speaking goblin). You see a shadow pass in front of you as a large wolf becomes visible beside the bugbear. The goblin also starts yelling into the next room nervously.
Chantrea, with the help of the rope climbs up to the top of the shaft just as she hears a chain come loose below her and snarling as the wolves tear at the goblin. . the third wolf joins in the snarling and howling as its chain is pulled against its pin. it sounds like they are starting to threaten each other over the single source of remaining food in the room.
The bugbear, being distracted and focused on the other room does not seem to notice you. The ear of the wolf beside him however flips in your direction, he turns , initially his head, then his entire body back toward you and sniffs the air emitting a low growl.
Ruvaar ducks back into the alcove . . the wolf lowers his head and sniffs but then his ear perks back toward the north as his master barks a command at him.
Lowblo not being able to make out where the yelp came decides to act and takes aim down the tunnel to the east. (you rolled a natural 20 on either roll so that would be a critical hit - I almost forgot that because you had advantage you also get your sneak attack. . . sooooo. . you get to roll all attack dice twice for damage including sneak attack and then add your additional damage with the crossbow (+3) after that. If I have this right you would roll (l will get you to re-roll damage):: 2d6+3 (crossbow) and 2d6 sneak attack. This was a nutso-crazy-effective hit)
Daeris climbs up onto the bridge and lies down facing the direction the yep came from.
I am going to check each day to respond to player moves / questions but you are not required to respond as often as that. I will move things forward every 3 or 4 days at max or as fast as we can - specifically during combat.
Chantrea maneuvers at the top of the chute so that her weight is secure without the help of the rope. She peers out at the room, carefully nocking an arrow in case of trouble.

Do you want to try hiding on the bride, lying down our move to one of the ends of the bride where there are recesses. If so, which end?
