Lowblo fires a bolt toward the goblin in sight. The bolt narrowly passes by the goblin's ear but he surely took note. He bellows out a throaty roar! He turns to face Ruvaar just as Chantrea who had moved closer but kept her cover fires an arrow as soon as there is a good opening. 9 . The arrow passes harmlessly into the cavern ahead.
Their, confidence at seeing the wolf at their side is diminished by hearing the roar of Klarg. The injured goblin swings his sword wildly at Nelly 13 failing to connect in a meaningful way.
The goblin behind the wolf, having seen it injured, magic an bolts flying out of the hall and Nelly swinging her axe, bolts back toward Klarg to "assist" his great leader!
Klarg having a sense of what is happening in the cavern beyond and having just been opened up like an overcooked sausage, rushes toward the chimney chute. Ruvaar takes adantage 19 slashing at the retreating Bugbear 23 (why can't I roll this stuff for myself) cutting him down to land just in front of Chantrea.
(Klarg would do this seeing his wolf in a bad spot and not expecting such devastating attacks against his retreat - he should have been pretty tough :) )
The Wolf turns to retaliate against Nelly 15 but is too weakened.
Having just successfully taken down the Bugbear Ruvaar turns to the Goblin in front of him, and with a large grin he runs straight for it with his sword ready to strike. The sound of his war cry fills the room.
Chantrea squeaks as the bugbear falls at her feet, then recomposes herself and follows Ruvaar towards the goblin. She nocks another arrow, but holds her action to see if Ruvaar needs any help in defeating this foe.
Ruvaar rushes forward toward the Goblin who begins to retreat after seeing what happened to Klarg. 18. Bringing his longsword across his body as he pivots, his blade strikes the goblin on the shoulder 4 leaving it a hanging ruin. The goblin weakly turn to strike back 6, missing Ruvaar completely.
Chantrea carefully stepping around Klarg, looses an arrow at the goblin 20 . The arrow hits the golin's leather armour but misses the flesh.
In the other room Lowblo fires at the wolf 13 (I've never seen so many 20s) 16 striking the wolf in the snout, and into the brain, dropping it instantly, much to the relief of Daeris who fires a magical beam at the remaining goblin 11. The bolt passes by the goblin, who turns in desperation throwing himself into the now almost empty water reservoir behind him. 4 He lands with a splash and lays on his back. . seemingly dead. . only squinting one eye slightly open to take occasional peaks toward the top edge. You would think he had practiced this escape from the ease at which he performed it.
All other enemies are defeated in the immediate area. Let me know your next steps, Daeris and Nelly are injured I believe. . the goblin remains in the water, these two areas are unexplored and there is the remaining areas you have not been to. Map coming soon!
I took part in a voluntary transfer this year. . it meant waiting for a pool of positions that were not known ahead of time. . applying for up to 4 Friday, researching this week-end and likely taking part in interviews tomorrow after work until possibly 11PM. It could stretch out 72 hours. . so hold tight. . or search a room. you know. . your call :)
You search around in the room with the two large pools. The goblin's have fairly standard equipment of low quality. . scimitar's and leather armour mostly. They aren't carrying any coin purses, they seem to have been ready for combat. The goblin in the bottom of the reservoir is completely motionless. You do notice that he is floating on his back somewhat. . and his elbows seem to be propping him up. .and although his leather armour covers his chest. . he seems to be breathing quite heavily. As you search this room you notice that the room to the south seems to be a store room and has a lot of supplies tucked away in it. . you also see the bloody mess of a goblin that Ruvaar left behind.
Ruvaar enters into the main cavern where there rest of the party is (if he isn't there already, I'm a little confused about where he is at the moment).
Seeing the totality of the fight he asks the room in general "Is there any of them left alive?" He urgently wants to find his friend Sildar, and he figures that someone who knows the cave system might be beneficial rather than stumbling around without knowing what is up ahead. He does not want a repeat of the flooding incident.
Ruuvaar enters the cavern with the pools and (you were roughly in between). Daeris hears the question as she stands looking down into one of the pools. "There's this one. . . Hey!", she yells tossing a stone down at the goblin floating in the water. He twitches as he is hit with the stone but still lays there half floating, "It is pretty steep, I am not sure how we are going to get him out, or get down."
Lowblo looks through the room, taking note of the stacks of what are presumably stolen loot from the trail, he begins to tally what is there. Most are marked with an image of a blue lion. In with the crates and barels Lowblo sees a chest, it appears to be unlocked .. . it has "KLARG" etched into it and a crude drawing of a beheaded goblin.
Chantrea keeps an arrow aimed at the goblin, but scans the nearby area for the others. Since she lost track of her companion near the start of this altercation, she wants to make sure Nelly's ok.
Opening the chest Lowbo finds that it is almost completely filled with coins! Hundreds of copper pieces and roughly one hundred silver. partially buried in the coins are two small coloured vials filled with liquid and a small green statue of a frog with golden eyes.
Chantrea and Daeris keep an eye toward the exits to the room. They do not hear any noise, changes in lighting etc.
Ruvaar notices the goblin take a fairly obvious peak up toward the adventurers, "I talking!", he calls nervously while continuing to half float - mostly face down.
Having gotten the Goblin's attention Ruvaar continues,
"Listen here worm. You have a very dear very dear friend of mine held captive somewhere within this cave. You will bring us to him at once or I will slowly and carefully dismember you toe by toe, finger by finger, until nothing remains. Should you intentionally guide us into harm or try to betray us, you can be sure the same fate will befall you."
The time for niceties was over. The longer they dwelt here, the longer Sildar remained in danger.
Ruvaar / Chantrea: As Ruvaar begins to speak the goblin turn his head in a twitchy gradual fashion - at first barely opening his eyes. As Ruvaar continues his eyes widen at a steady rate until they are wider than his face would seem to fit, "Yes!. . Yes! I take you to meat room!". . the goblin makes several desperate attempts to haul himself up the side of the pit. He makes it almost half way up once before he looses his grip and slides, returning to the bottom of the pit. Looking up at Ruvvar he turns his gaze to Chantrea, some hope lighting his eyes, he furrows his brow and looks up, mostly with one eye, the other almost seemingly pointing to the ground. Somehow he looks more pathetic. Goblins are not all like this you know. . they are crafty, clever little tyrants who can seemingly come out of nowhere and slit a throat. . this is not that goblin.

Everyone has advantage vs the wolf since it is flanked. Two goblins and a wolf left.
Lets go for the next round!
Having just successfully taken down the Bugbear Ruvaar turns to the Goblin in front of him, and with a large grin he runs straight for it with his sword ready to strike. The sound of his war cry fills the room.
(essentially I just wanna go attack that goblin)
Chantrea squeaks as the bugbear falls at her feet, then recomposes herself and follows Ruvaar towards the goblin. She nocks another arrow, but holds her action to see if Ruvaar needs any help in defeating this foe.
Online chat for course tonight. Will post follow-up tomorrow night.

(OOG: sounds like an odd way to apply for jobs... ;))
Lowblo quickly gets to work searching the surrounding area for loot...er, um...clues, yes that's it...clues.
Investigation: 22
(Hmmm, maybe the roller is broken?)

Lowblo digs through the supplies for anything that might be useful, or tasty, or usefully tasty.

Curiosity (always) getting the better of him, Lowblo open the chest.
Ruvaar, upon hearing Daeris' appraisal of the sole remaining goblin, looks down at their small green adversary.
"You there! Goblin! Unless ye want an arrow through your heart, ye best begin talking!"
He then aims his crossbow directly at the Goblin, ready to make good on his promise.
