Ink moves through the space where the tripwire is. Having noticed it before, he is able to easily step over it without triggering the mechanism. He then takes down the magma mephit with two well-placed arrows.
Crownsguard destroys the other magma mephit, and gets splashed with burning molten lava.
Ayaci destroys another smoke mephit, which explodes into a cloud of smoke.
Marav and the sprites hold the right-side mephits at bay, but while the Sprites are attacking, the mephits don't seem to be affected by the Sprites' poison.
Then, one by one, the smoke mephits turn and retreat in earnest back towards the elevator. Two of the mephits who had been slowed by Ink recover from the spell, and regain their speed. There is still one slowed mephit.
The pixies continue to fly up to where they can drop the giants-turned-snails, free of pursuit.
One pixie is already concentrating on Fly for Garyth. The remaining three pixies flutter down and cast Fly on Ink, Matrix, and Marav.
Matrix turns the cart onto the bride, "HA! found them!" he declares as he flicks his wrist and throws a dart at each nearby mephit "its no thunder king but it's stealthy"
Ayaci meanwhile fires at the mephits farther away!
Ink stows his bow and picks up his two scimitars. Seeing the mephits escaping he scowls. Then he feels a bit of dust land on his shoulders. He smiles and shoots up, flying, toward the escaping mephits, cutting the lead mephit, scimitars dancing in his hands. His bladesong reactivated.
Crownsguard plants his sword in his and levels his hand toward the fleeing Mephit, “Elemental anomaly detected. Location of origin: Elemental Plane, Fire, Air. Neutralization: Frost.”
A Chromatic Orb of Cold energy streaks toward the Mephit: Attack: 22 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll. cold damage

The remaining smoke mephit disengages from Ink and flies out of sight, into the dark elevator house.
All else is quite, except for the splashing of the water wheel and the turning of the gears from inside the elevator structure.
