This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ink makes his way into the village proper, avoiding any trip wires. He sees Crownsguard fall and shouts, "We need to get him back up and either stop the elevator or retreat. Only a matter of time before reinforcements show up!... But first..."
Ink takes aim and lets go of a fire bolt at the closest drow to Ink!!
Crownsguard is brought back to consciousness as the poisoned drow caught by Marav's bite, then hit dead center by Ink's fire bolt. The drow is set aflame, and falls onto the roof of the hut, screaming in agony as he dies.
// Ayaci, Matrix, and Crownsguard are up! The last drow will fight to the death, but there's really nothing he can do against your powers combined. If you're all attacking him this round, feel free to describe how you finish him off. //
Marav roars out and knocks the drow to the ground with his tail then steps on his legs as he grabs the drow's torso with his teeth and literally tears him into two pieces.
Ayaci goes about recovering arrows, releasing a cloud of steam as she shrinks back down to more or less normal human proportions.
Arrow recovery? (Don't recall what the ruling on this was last time, but I'm applying advantage from stone sight and adding my INT mod, if that jives) 20
Arrows thus recovered, she limps over to the others. If no healing is available, she'll strip the drows for makeshift bandages.
Matrix has slumped into a sitting position, leaving a big smear of blood on the wall. arms resting on his lap as he stares vacantly into the void. His breathing, when he does breath, is slow and shallow.
Marav is able to reach the lever in the elevator room. He is able to pull down on the switch without much difficulty, which immediately disengages the lift mechanism.
If Marav takes a moment to look down onto the elevator, he will see indistinct shadows moving around on the dark platform, which is silhouetted against the faint orange glow coming from far below.
On the drow mage, Ink finds two interesting items. One is instantly recognizable—it is the immovable rod that you had lost several days ago, here on the mountaintop. The other is an iron bottle, which is obviously magical. The bottle hangs from the dead mage's belt on a chain, and has a brass stopper.
Ayaci is able to recover all of her spent arrows save one. One of them was lost over the falls.
Crownsguard uses the power of the opal of the ild rune to put out the blazing bonfire. It takes some effort and concentration, but the fire continually dies down until it is completely extinguished in a great puff of smoke and cinders. All that is left of the fire on both sides of the village now is the charred, smoldering remains of wood.
You've gained a momentary reprieve, but the enemy was somehow prepared for you up here, and certainly knows that you're here now. Resting here might not be the safest option.
If you all accept Marav's service, the travel time down the cliffside is significantly reduced. It takes Marav a minute to fly straight down, where it would have taken the better part of an hour to hike that same distance.
Once you are all back with the airship, you have some decisions to make.
// Go ahead and wrap up your actions at the village, and we can proceed in whatever manner you think best! //
Ink takes the mages belt as a whole, with the bottle attached; not trusting it, Ink puts the belt on as his own and hides the bottle beneath his armor rather than the bag of holding. He sees the immovable rod and tells Marav, "Come get me last - if this worked once, it may work again."
As Marav continues to ferry the party to the ship, Ink scrambles to the water wheel that powers the elevator - he sets fire to the building. He notes that the thatch roof would make excellent kindling.
Ink puts a torch to the hut as Marav extracts the party, one by one. Marav and Ink manage to leave before any reinforcements arrive, with the oversized yakfolk hut ablaze in the background.
As you regroup in the cave halfway down the cliffside, you consider your options. It would appear that the giants now consider the mountaintop as the "front entrance" as far as you're concerned, and have made some preparations to defend it.
Let me know what preparations you are taking before you rest, and then we can proceed.
Marav drops the drow out of his claws and attackes the slow drow next to CG, "Get up metal man!"

Seeing Marav head to the elevator room to shut it down, Ink says, "Good idea!"
Ink then says to the others, "Douse the other flame - put it out!"
Ink then searches the dead wizard looking for both items that would be useful to Ink as a wizard and for clues as to why the drow may be here.
