"Right... Cover up or paint. We don't need details, just something to hide it's true nature from a mid to far distance. That's why I suggested just a quick and dirty flat black or tar paint job. We don't need to make it look like something else, just need to hide what it is... Oh bother I'll do it myself. I could use a helping hand though."
While final preparations are made Ink will run over to the buildings being repaired and reconstructed, borrow some brushes and tar or paint and paint the ring fast and dirty. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Rip casually casts minor illusion on the ring, or as much of it as he can //don't remember how big it was lol// and makes it look like an anvil. After Ink left for paint.

After coming back and seeing the last of the illusion fade.
"Planning on casting that every minute, Rip? Measure twice, cut once. Do it right the first time and you won't have to do it again."
"You do realize if we don't just cover it up we have a giant ring still? Just need some hay or tarps."
"Yes, a giant iron ring versus a giant admantine ring. The latter will bring us trouble, the former won't be worth the trouble to get. And besides, I'm painting it in case we can't lay it flat in the cart //haven't received guidance on how it fits in the cart//, besides we should cover it up with hay regardless."
"Come on guys, I'm just trying to reduce the hassles we may face down the road.... 'Oh, this giant ring? It's an iron ring special made for us in Triboar for a mill outside Everlund,' as opposed to, 'Oh, this giant gleaming admantine ring? Pay no mind to it - it's worthless, I swear.'"
//I agree, cover it up, paint it if we can, hay works good too. Flint asked Narth about a tarp while inside the market. Wouldn't want any casual observers to think it is worth a second look.//
Flint helps find whatever is needed to get the ring covered. If we got a tarp we'll use that and any haybales we can find. If there is no hay to be had, we'll just tarp it and grab hay from Mirak's kin at the first stop.
Seeing that both Flint and Ink want to cover this up Angel will use his painting proficiency to add some details to the ring to make it look more convincing as Iron than as just a black-colored ring.
The bent and broken adamantine band, being only about 4 feet wide at its widest, fits easily in the cart and you are able to find hay to cover it up at the Hysstryn Ranch.
Mirak's brothers once again express their thanks and hand you what they describe as a family heirloom: a +1 longbow, wrapped in canvas and obviously well cared for.

Ink was able to procure some basic black paint, and Angel's brushwork helps to make it look fairly plain.

Ink takes the the gift and bows deeply, "Thank you, so much, for the gift. It was not needed, but we will ensure that it is put to good use in the continued defense of the realm."
Once they are away, Ink states, "I think we should give the bow to Marav. Not just from a practical standpoint, but from an emotional one as well. He took great care of Mirak's remains and showed them great respect and wanted to ensure they were taken to family so that they can properly place Mirak to rest. That sort of reverence deserves a reward, in my opinion."
Angel makes no objections; he's mainly happy to be on the road. There always is something nice about traveling. And even though its only been a few days Angel feels like he has spent weeks in Triboar and is ready for a change of location.
"Ah could'na agree more Ink. Marav kept th' brother's needs at th' front o' his mind. 'E showed great compassion an' respect fer th' dead. It's fittin' 'e carry th' bow."
As you set out east on the Evermoor Way, you feel a chilly wind coming your direction. Boris is very alert, having survived the giant attack of yesterday.

Being overly protective of the ring, Ink will be off to one side of the cart.
Quill will be directly overhead about fifty feet or so keeping watch. Every ten to fifteen minutes, Ink will use Quill's eyes to get a lay of the land.
