Flint will go with Ink to get the lead and will work it into a box for the ring.
// Will you be using your Channel Divinity feature? //
//was planning to use a hammer//
Using the ring itself as a form, Flint will hammer the top sheet around the ring then fold the edge of the bottom sheet to hold the top in place. Nothing fancy, just a 10 minute job, doing this in the stable.
Meanwhile, the nearly-toasted rider from last night can be found on the ground floor of the Calling Horns Inn, overlooking the ridge upon which the inn sits, chatting jovially with Nhek the innkeeper.
Marav comes down stairs approaches the rider from the night before. "So you were the one that scared my companions so much. Find anything of interest in your travels?"
When Ink is done helping Flint retrieve the lead, complete the exchange with the smith, return to the stable, and hammer the ring around the ring, Ink will use the diving rod to see if he can detect the ring, and then, whether the lead worked or not, go into the Calling Horns with Flint to seek the rider from the night before to purchase him a morning ale.
Angel wakes up with rising dawn to his morning exercise. Which now includes running with the dogs. He’ll spend the morning making sure he and them are fed and that they’re ready for whatever they are doing today.
Marav and Ink easily find the rider. Nhek has taken to cleaning the bar, and gladly provides a breakfast ale to the rider upon Ink's request. Responding to Marav's question, he says, "Yes, that was me. I wasn't expecting anyone to be awake, to be honest, but given the sudden horrible turn of the weather and the lack of light, and what I saw on the road back west, I can understand your jumpiness." The rider sits down at a table and continues.
"I found that big giant you were talking about, killed and dead, as well as the charred remains of what I'm assuming was a troll. Very smart to torch the thing," the rider says to you when you join him at the table. "Right, but then things got interesting. So I was looking around the area, and it was getting pretty dark, when I was set upon by two trolls! Thought for sure they would tear me limb from limb, but then out of nowhere this other giant comes, blue skinned and wielding this big axe in one hand. Cleaves a head off one troll and sends the other running. Then I thought for sure I was a goner, but then he says to me, gets down right in my face and says, 'The fire giants have claimed this area as their hunting ground, and the trolls as their hounds for the hunt. Leave while you still have breath in your lungs, little one.' And then he was off again!"
"That's a frost giant - and apparently a good aligned one at that. How very odd. Rip //(assuming he's downstairs)// have you ever heard of a frost giant such as this man is describing?"
Ink will think about it himself, rolling through local history that he may or may not know - perhaps talk from his army days... // History 8 //
"My memory is not serving me right now - I'm sure I would've heard of such a thing, but it's not coming to mind."
"Frost giant's now? So we have met evil hill and fire giants and good cloud and frost giants? What is going on?" Marav shakes his head slightly. "Did he say anything else?"
Rip has heard tales of Harshnag the Grim, a member of the infamous Waterdhavian adventuring group "Force Grey" about a hundred years ago. He was said to have carried a magical axe that could freeze an enemy solid while keeping its wielder warm in the coldest conditions. Whispers of his travels since have abounded in taverns, and they say that he still protects humankind even though he hasn't come to Waterdeep's defense in generations.

"Beats me," says the rider. "And no, that was it. Very brief. When he got down in front of me I thought he was gonna bite my head off! Life flashed before my eyes and all that." The rider shudders and then takes a long drink from his mug.
"I wonder if he could give us more information or become an ally." Marav starts to get lost in his thoughts then blinks a couple times, "Later though, we need to be leaving soon. Rip we haven't forgotten what we are here for."
“Oh, damn near slipped my mind. Tamalin was looking for you, said she had something for you,” Nhek spoke up from behind the bar. “She came by much earlier but I told her that my guests were to be left sleepin’.”

Tamalin enters the inn as soon as Flint asks the question. She looks like she hasn't had any sleep.
Wearily, she makes her way over to your vicinity and waves at Nhek. "Whatever Dafydd is having," she says to the innkeeper.
