"Oh yeah Goldenfields is under siege, might have to go there next."

"Wait - what?" 

"Oh yeah your weren't with me . Some blood hawks attached me while I was fighting the troll. The one got away . Tough little guy. Found some kids torturing him." He scratches his head lightly ."He found some more skinned guys scaring away his prey . For now we will hunt them with him. "

The night passes without much more excitement. Papa Jib snores soundly, curled up on the chair in the corner of the common area. Nhek bids goodbye to the last patron, closes the door, and says, "I'll be cleanin' up and then heading upstairs to catch a few winks." He wipes his hands on his large, aproned belly. "The dishes ain't gonna wash themselves. I'll leave you to yer own devices if that'll be all. 

"Oh, and those little halfling tykes are already up in bed, by the way. Cute as buttons, those two are."

After cautiously accepting more food from Marav, the blood hawk finds an abandoned nest in a nearby tree and nestles in for the evening.

Ink finds rest for the evening, ready to take on the following day.  He asks those awake, "Are we heading back to the town and begin the search anew? Keep an eye out for barbarian tribes along the way? Perhaps one of those sacred mounds Nhek spoke about are nearby - perhaps even the Red Tiger tribe's holy place..."

Ink says to Rip, "I'm sorry that we didn't get there fast enough - and that we couldn't convince those stone giants to be more helpful.  As long as you need to, I will help you search for your family. We'll settle up on the other business we have on our list afterwards."

"Searching the town is to dangerous and at this point futile. we should go near the town and start going into the woods" being near barbarian territory growing up would Rip have any ideas where to look? history check? 12

"Agreed that's a sound plan - perhaps I can help you plan that out. I know a bit about the region and some of the tribes myself."

Marav explains to his fellows that the hawk was one of them he shot and scared away while chasing the troll. He found it being harassed by a bunch of children.  The hawk had seen what sounded like the barbarians. He has agreed to help us hunt them down. He saw blue skinned giants fighting with black haired men. 

"It is at the very least a place to get started. The hawk has agreed to help us for now."

"Maybe  our hostess knows something about them..."

"Apparently, the hawk has seen something... Although I'm worried about blue skinned giants... Sounds like a frost giant.... But could be stone. Either way, it's the best lead we have - we've tapped this town dry... Twice."

The morning is gray with a westerly breeze. The blood hawk that Marav saved last night seems happy for his working wings, and is currently swooping low over Boris and the dogs, agitating them before climbing back into the sky with a piercing cry.

Marav will take a few minutes when everyone is ready to leave and ritual cast Speak with Animals. He will ask the hawk to lead them toward the dark haired ones who fought the blue skinned ones. Once we start traveling Marav will keep his word and try and help the hawk hunt. Pointing out small prey for it as he sees it, or good places for the hawk to look.

Also going to look for any signs of large groups of barbarian type trails.
