Th' name's Flint, from Citadel Adbar. Know ye Master Foehammer outta Triboar? We got a recommendation from 'im on us. Now, what'd ye have in mind ta do with that cleaver?"

Marav looks angry. "I'm from a small town, not unlike this. They were stupid and petty too. Up until now you have passively allowed evil into your midst. You let these hunt lords murder with impunity. You are crossing a dangerous line though. You are now actively participating in evil. Noanar's Hold has become a haven for the evil, as long as they don't kill too many of you."
He straightens to his full height, letting his hood fall back and his orcish fangs show. "I recognize evil, I am the product of evil." He grins angrily, "Now you wish to attack me with farming implements? Your precious hunt lords couldn't beat us one on one. Your precious hunt lords couldn't beat us with an evil army of the undead. You now plan to vanquish us with a broom?"

Ink opens a window and looks at Quill. She flies out leaving a dusting of cinder and ash in her wake... as she flies out, Ink's eyes go dark like coal. He sits unmoving.

Quill flies around the inn, observing the people gathered, the village, the keep... What does she and Ink see and hear?

“He is correct. One cannot allow the promise of safety cloud your mind to the presence of real evil. I know that it seems easier to be ruled by this evil. However, if you are ruled by evil, you will become slaves to it, unless you stand up now. You have shown us hospitality, yet you now ask us to leave. I see that you are scared. Doing good is never easy and often calls upon those that are willing to risk their safety for real justice. Think of your children, and the future that you leave to them. Will it be another two hundred years of fear, where their souls are crushed under the weight of an undead scourge. Or will it be one of hard-won prosperity. Please. Choose wisely. Be a people of strong courage.”

Rip will step up to the door in front of Crownsguard "For all I know my children were killed in the time we've taken to help you, if such sacrifice yields these results and your are so safe here why don't you all stay out for some star gazing hmm? that's not safety you have it's slavery, but if that's what you prefer we will gladly leave and you can all go to hell!" Rip then slams the door.
"If they try to break down that door then they are minions of evil and I'm going to incinerate them! Someone grab my stuff and lets get out of here, my children have waited long enough!" Rip shouts loud enough for the people on the other side of the door to hear. Despite his outburst you can tell Rip is barely holding it together, whatever was upsetting him earlier is obviously still with him.
"Sounds good to me." Marav gathers his stuff and drops a couple gold on the counter. "Sorry about all of this Argus. In the morning, I'd grab what you can and leave. If we leave now, I would not want to be here."
He claps Rip on the shoulder. "On our way out of town how about you drop a fireball on there."
Between Boris, Crownsguard's mount, we can all probably ride out of here.
"They have chose the side of evil. They have lived with these evil creatures sheltering them as long as they did as they were told." He sighs, "From their point of view, we are the ones who came in and didn't follow their rules."
"It would be wrong to just destroy the entire town though... right?"
Marav shakes his head... he pulls out a small stone. You can hear him whisper into it. "Pim, Noanar's Hold has been overtaken by undead. Can someone be sent to finish the cleansing process we started?"
The crowd gasps as the two raptors fly out of the lodge over their heads. The dwarf backs down from the front step a bit. "We ain't come to be fightin', but we aim to protect ourselves from the likes of ye. Now you've accused us and insulted us, and you've done quite alot of harm. None of these monsters showed up till you lot arrived and started brawling in the street at midnight. I pray your departure will settle things back down."
Through Quill's eyes, Ink sees the village and surrounding forest in the glow of the setting sun. There are still several skeletons standing atop the keep as guards. Nothing else seems amiss.

Ink comes out of his reverie, stretching and yawning, then saying, "Well, outside of the mob of villagers outside the tavern's front door - everything is how we left it... quiet village and undead on the parapets of the keep. I kind of feel bad for this village - they live in constant fear under these hunt lords. They can't go out at night. They likely fear that if they leave, the masters of the hunt will hunt them down. They live half lives it seems. And then we show up and take out all but one wight - next thing you know there's talks of a necromancer and dozens of undead come out of nowhere. Maybe that Tree Ghost druid was right - the wights were a stabilizing force keeping worse things out. Oh well, live and learn. Everyone has to die sometime, these people will just likely get there a little sooner."
Then looking around to take in what's going on, he continues "So - what's been going on? I've been up in the clouds with Quill for a bit."
Ink holds up the scimitar and the short sword. "FOUR of your Lords of the Hunt were bested by us. Incinerated and eviscerated. One ran, but we lost sight of him - we'll find him yet."
"What else do you know of that keep? Secret entrances? Any wizards or the like visiting the Hunt Lords? Perhaps we can depose them and install a more just, but firm rule. A place to explore and gain knowledge." Ink's eyes go off to the distance as he's speaking.
Crownsguard relays, “If this is regarding the herbs and spices. Ink says he left payment. Is there anything else that we can do for you today?”
