 By Ink's description, the wolves look relatively wolf-like. You'd have to get closer to get a good vantage point.

Ink relays what he sees concluding, "Seems to be just a pack of wolves and some vultures - we shouldn't have much trouble scaring them off."

Ink begins heading in that direction, Quill circling distressed above. 

Crownsguard awaits mounted on his horse, “Shall I engage?”

Flint gets the wagon rolling "right Boris, mind th' logs!"

"There still quite a ways off, Crownsguard, and they're just wolves - I'm sure you won't have to 'engage,'" Ink says with a chuckle.

Ink reaches out to the cart, "Let me help you with that Flint." Ink takes direction from Flint if he needs help moving the cart.

"Perhaps we shouldn't take Boris all the way, lest these wolves think we're taking them a meal."

"wouldn't want to give Boris a spook either!"

Dusk is not far away as you traverse the dirt trail leading to the lake. You can hear growls and snarls over the next rise.

Ink whispers, "If there's anything you need to prepare - now's the time to do so."

Ink prepares a fire bolt which he will release, as a reaction, against the first creature he notes taking an aggressive action (moves to attack) towards one of the party members or himself.

Flint ties off Boris then prepares to advance

Assuming everyone is ready, Ink sends Quill sixty feet high and then he begins slowly walking over the rise, as he does he whispers, "If anyone can do something to scare these hounds off - do it."

"Either this will scare them off.... or they will attack. Depends on the value of what they are hunting I guess. If it is good enough even a warning by an alpha won't send them running. Anyone want a ride, feel free. He pauses and looks at Crownsguard... not you. I'm pretty strong but not that strong." 

Marav shifts into his Dire Wolf and howls a warning to the wolves hoping to scare them off. 

Intimidation: 13

Marav’s howl is answered by howls nearby, and then more further away.

Ink feels alarm emanating from Quill—something is not right.
