As Ink prays to Moradin and readies his spell, more than just his ruby is glowing. The light sconces in the whole of the temple interior take on a red tinge, and when Ink’s thunderwave connects with the devourer, the rock itself reverberates with the overpowering sound.
The ground underfoot quakes long after the thunder subsides, and Ink and the Axe members have a hard time maintaining their footing.
Meanwhile, the towering demon is sent flying by the spell, and as it is thrown backward, it dissolves into a fine dust that evaporates into nothing. The only thing left is the corpse of the High Hammer, which hits the wall with a dull thud.
The Axe soldiers steady themselves before looking wildly around for any more hostiles. The back ranks yell out the door, “We need a healer in here, fast!” A few of the dwarves unsurely point their crossbows at Ink, the only one still standing.
“Hold it there, elf,” says one of he dwarves to Ink. “Don’t make any sudden movements.”
"Well then shoot me - I didn't let a demon stop me from saving my friends... I'll be damned if I let you!" the Elf shouts back. He hops down from the altar, grabs Flint by the ankle and drags him towards Don. Ink mutters under his breath about adamantine being so damned heavy.
Once Flint is next to Don he pulls the two potions he remembered seeing when Don force fed him a healing potion. He takes one and pours it down the clerics throat. When Flint rouses, Ink shouts "Save these two, I'll see to Crownsguard!"
Ink soon makes his way to Crownsguard.
Assume Ink casts SHIELD regardless of the attack roll.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Flint wakes (5) to find the demon gone and quickly rouses to follow Ink's instructions, seeing Matrix lying beside him he reaches out and casts spare the dying on him then healing word on Don (5). He then gets up and moves to the altar room, pulling 3 diaminds from his belt looking for the acolyte Don killed knowing he is running out if time.
The gears, which were stuck and quickly rusting at incredible speeds slowly begin moving as the light of Crownsguard’s core reignites. His body slowly sits up. “Loading. Loading. Loa- Reboot Complete!” Crownsguard waves to Ink, “Hello Ink! Where is the anathema? I have some power remaining, I should be able to deliver another blow.”
Ink looks back at Crownsguard and replies, "I somehow turned it to dust - although I am absolutely sure I received divine assistance from our resident Dwarven deity."
Flint does a double take, realizing Don didn't respond to his healing spell, he changes course and casts revivify on the High Hammer. "We got more work ta do me friend, see ta yer men."
Ink looks back at Crownsguard and replies, "I somehow turned it to dust - although I am absolutely sure I received divine assistance from our resident Dwarven deity."
“That is neat.”
Crownsguard will stand and follow Ink to the weapons.

The swords, still dark as obsidian, feel cold to Ink’s touch. Ink hears no voices, feels no presence. The abyssal inscriptions that had previously marked the blades, respectively, as “Taste Blood” and “Taste Undeath” have disappeared.
Flint does a double take, realizing Don didn't respond to his healing spell, he changes course and casts revivify on the High Hammer. "We got more work ta do me friend, see ta yer men."
The High Hammer revives and looks up weakly. “I thought I was bound for the halls of the gods. Thank you, brother,” he says to Flint.
Disoriented, he glances around the room to see the devastation and crawls to the dead dwarven ghoul, still wearing an acolyte’s vestments. “What have we done? Poor Ecki...he didn’t deserve this fate. I will implore with the all-father for his soul. And the others...are they uncorrupted? They weren’t turned, were they?”
"Thar bodies lay in th' altar room." As soon as Flint is done with Don he goes to the altar room to help with the acolytes. "Ah don' think they were turned, but ah can'na be certain."
The High Hammer takes a moment to explain what happened to the Axe of Mirabar, and the officer on duty asks several probing questions of the High Hammer, giving you time to regroup and heal, but the Axe doesn’t allow you to leave the temple without first answering their questions, starting with,
“Give us your version of events that led to this attack.”
The Axe are stoic and professional, friendly enough seeing that you were just attacked by a demon and managed to kill it, but firm in their resolve that you offer a complete report.
Unless he is interrupted, the High Hammer will sorrowfully express his remorse and accept full blame, citing his overconfidence and eagerness to rid the artifacts of Orcus’ influence. He will also describe the ceremony and what happened with the demonic ichor. He will then ask to be excused so that he can ward his acolyte’s bodies against any corrupting influence before they are interred.

Don lays there his eyes still open, anyone watching... if anyone were watching would see the light go out of those eyes.

Flint sees that healing word would have no effect on Dontontion at this point.
The acolyte in the other room is clearly dead, but due to being knocked out, Flint isn’t aware of exactly how much time has passed.
