"Well said metal man, say how does your sword work? The one in your arm?"

Crownsguard cross his arm and examines it, he then looks up, “It is a sharp piece of forged metal. The process works by me striking opponents to cause damage, either by targeting their squishy parts, or by denting and/or crushing hard parts.”

"Accurate but not exactly what I was asking. How does the mechanism for stowing and deploying the blade work?"

"Forget his blades, during the battle... what was that you pulled out? A wand? Got anymore for the rest of us?" Don asks Matrix.

Flint asks the High Hammer what he thinks it will cost to bring in the healer he was talking about?

"You mean the Thunder Dragon?" Matrix chuckles, "no it is not a wand, and I only have the one right now. It uses smoke powder or blasting powder so it's very, very, very dangerous. As in it tends to explode. This is my lifes work and part of my fighting style, I call it 'the art of the Exploding Dragon Fist' a variation on my orders fighting techniques. Anyway about your arm blade, if I can look at the mechanism for it I think I might be able to design and create an upgrade for it"

 Crownsguard nods, “Oh. I see now. Yes, the retracting system is quite simple... in that it does not retract. It is a sword locked into my arm. It is very inconvenient.”

Don goes to High Hammer and asks, "Could they bring back someone who has been gone a week or so?"

"Hmm that does make things inconvenient, but might also make what I have in mind easier"

“I have heard that people enjoy easy things.” Crownsguard gives a thumbs up. “I remember the dwarves I was gambling with getting very excited about my presence. I believe the words that they used were ‘Easy Mark.’ Mark is not my name. They did not seem to remain happy for long after we began playing. Perhaps I should have given them a ‘nickname’ as well.”

 “That’s part of why I performed the ceremony on them,” says the priest. “Wards off would-be necromancers, and preserves the bodies for the purposes of resurrection magic. Gives them time to get here after receiving the message.”

Seeing  nothing else to be done, Flint turns his attention to the warhammer Ink brought him.

The High Hammer, having mentioned that he’d learned his lesson, says that he would be happy to pass along the message, and thanks Flint graciously for the donation. “Moradin bless you and your efforts, son,” he says.

Ink stayed quiet, observant... Trying to calculate when his luck will run out. 

He sits next to Flint and asks, "Do you think there's any latent magic left in them?" 

He places the short swords next to the hammer. "You think you could work your magic on them?" 

"Ah do'na  know. Ah sought ta purge them o' their curse." Flint takes the Warhammer in hand and tries to commune with it, gives it some test swings. If that goes well he will ritual cast identify on each of the items.

The weapons feel cold in Flint's hands, and do not radiate the same magical aura they once did. When casting the ritual spell on the weapons in succession, Flint can readily attest that the strange form of psionic and demonic magic has been stripped from them. 

The weapons are still the same basic form, with cruel looking designs and a dark sheen to them, though their inscriptions in Abyssal and Goblin are gone. When a bright light reflect off of them, they seem to give off a purplish luster. Flint is able to properly identify them as being made from darksteel, an exotic metal popular with artisans and enchanters in centuries past. More curiously, the warhammer has been emblazoned with the symbol of Moradin. Flint is sure that the symbol wasn't there before.

The rapier and shortswords seem completely emptied of their power, though Flint knows they would take enchantments with ease, particularly those dealing with acid and lightning magic. The warhammer, on the other hand, has inexplicably received divine power: a gift from Moradin.

 Flint stands in awe of the evidence of Moradin's divine interaction. He says to the High Hammer "ah'll  bring this back 'ere an' build a shrine around it, but ah think Moradin wants me ta  put it ta  use first."
