Surprised by such an horrific chamber, Ang tries to stay alert. She’s expecting traps to deploy at any time. Once she feels the room is safe, she starts looking for belongings of the poor captives as well as the giant eye.
Judging that Saros might be backing himself into a corner with Celest, Ghee considers whether it's worthwhile trying to play the wingman again.
"Ah reckon ma pal here is speaking true. Yer Step-Da obviously has a way o' trackin' ye, otherwise Ah reckon you an' Dicky would be away, daein' whatever ye young 'uns dae when yer together."
Ghee enunciates his words now, slowly and loudly, "We. Are. No. Here. Tae. Hurt. Ye."
Moving himself closer to Celest, Ghee readies himself to try and restrain the girl.
Ready action to have Ghee attempt to grapple Celest if she turns and tries to attack.
Khan could feel the urge to be rid of the Celeste rise by the second. And the teenager getting hysterical was doing her little favors. For its after that Khan ready a singshot bullet for the girl's dome. If she fled now... if the others failed to convince of hold her in place... Khan could be patient. But, that patience was wearing thin. 'And what in Nangnang's name is step father? Is she... is she a step above her father?'She thought idly, only to soon shake her head and dismiss it.

Without moving much, Anglooks about the room to determine if there are any signs of traps. Once she is satisfied that there aren't any physical gadgets waiting to be sprung, she begins taking a closer looks at the bodies. She notices that each body’s head has a small round hole located at the top of the skull. She also notes that Lord Weirding left some trinkets on the bodies, as if some of their belongings were also part of his study. The bugbear is still wearing its leather pauldrons, the goblin has an eyepatch, the mind flayer still wears its breastplate, and the human has a ring on its left index finger. Each of these items are labelled, though only one of them calls the purple grung's attention as being anything special. A piece of paper attached to the ring reads "Ring of Invisibility."
Ang pockets the ring and continues to look around the room. When she reaches the shelf of jars, she looks at the large encased eye first. Her face gets closer and closer, until the floating eye within a jar abruptly turns to stare back at her:
-> Ang's CHA saving throw {DC 14}: 4 Damage: 26
Ang's eyes roll back, as does the eye in the jar, and the purple grung falls to the ground, unconscious (Ang takes 29 psychic damage and is unconscious, incapacitated, and prone.)
Bleep watches as the muscles and bones on Ang's right shoulder begin to suddenly bulge and form an conglomeration of hard meaty lumps. Not that she realizes this just yet, but Ang now has a hunch on her back.

Gnator squirms somewhat pathetically but can't help being dragged back upstairs.

Saros reacts to Celest's loss of control by trying to calmly deliver rational arguments. That does not go well. It is hard to even tell if she is listening to Saros as this point. Her eyes are darting around, her breathing is getting more erratic, and she is beginning to sweat. In her desperate search, she finally notices that the door to her room has been unlocked and is cracked open. Her fight or flight response kicks in and she makes it for the door.
Ang's head hurt as if an allosaurus stepped on her. She manages to open one eye and with no other danger except this giant eye, she runs out out the room. On the way out she looks at Bleep and says "Nothing to see here Bleep ! There?s an large eye in a jar that almost killed me. Don't go in !"
Maintaining his grip on Celest, Ghee backs into the centre of the room, equidistant between the door and the window. Keeping the same calm and measured tone of voice as before.
"Celest, nae one here is tryin' tae hurt ye. We need ye tae calm doon though. Can ye dae that lass? Can ye dae that fer me? Now, mah man Saros, good egg that he is, is gonna take yer Maw's amulet aff ye. He's gonna check it oot, if it's how yer Step-Da keeps tabs on ye then that's a thing we'll all ken an' one mair reason tae be glad he's no breathin' right now.. If it's nae that, ye can have it right back seein' that its a thing yer Maw left ye."
Darrik firmly sits the gnome down, and continues talking about flying monkeys. He’s shifted more to biological concerns, now, although he doesn’t know what that word means.

After popping back up almost as soon as she hit the ground, Ang warns Bleep of the dangerous eye and slips out of the lab. It is only after being back in the relative safety of the Gallery Hall that the purple grung notices that her body has gone through some horrifying transformation. She is now a hunchback, and that is not all! Getting used to her new deformity will take some effort. (Ang heals for 1 HP, but now has disadvantage on all STR- and DEX-based attacks, ability checks, and saving throws. Her speed is also halved, so it is down to 15ft.)
Now also out of the room, Bleep approaches the next door over. A quick jiggle of the knob reveals it is also locked.
Darrik makes his way back to the Gallery Hall as well, with Gnator in tow. He sits the gnome down and forces him to listen to his funny stories through implied intimidation. Gnator is conforming, at least for now.
Ghee is the one trying to speak sense to Celest now. It works just as well as Saros' attempt at first, but the girl stops hyperventilating after a while. She gradually calms back down as Ghee continues to talk, although she resumes crying, looking down, and not uttering a word. She is almost limp in Ghee's arms now, and visually an emotional mess. If she agreed to give away her pendant, she gave no clear sign of it.
"Ah'm gonna let ye go now, Celest. Ah dinnae think ye need Ghee hanging ontae ye."
Releasing his grip, Ghee steps away from Celest. "It's gonna be ok. Dicky an' ye will be together soon an' yer Step-Da won't be able tae get either o' ye."
Retrieving his grappling hook from the bars outside the window, Ghee starts to coil the rope attached to it.
"But Celest. Ye need tae gie Saros that amulet. Unless ye think there's a thing yer Step-Da prized more highly? Might be a bit mair connected tae?"
Seeing that their collective words are finally having some effect, Ghee continues to talk to Celest and even display some level of thrust by releasing his grip. Although not instantly, the maneuver pays off. Still crying, albeit more softly now, Celest removes the necklace she has been wearing and finally reveals the pendant that had been concealed by her clothes up until now. It is an intricate piece made of a shiny, silvery metal, several small sapphires, and one large diamond in the center. At about the dimensions of a duck's wing feather, it is larger than Ghee or Saros might have expected.
After holding it in her hands for an extra second or too, she offers the pendant forward, toward Saros and Ghee's general direction. Celest does not look up while doing this/ After the pendant is taken from her hand she sits on her bed with her head still down.
While Ang comes to grips with her new body, Bleep steps forward and picks the next lock open, trying to be as discreet about it as he can.
The green grung swings the door open, revealing a very comfortable bed chamber. The four-post bed could easily support three large people based on how wide it is. There is a small desk, a coffee table, a pair of comfy chairs, and a large wardrobe in this room as well, all very well made. A skin of familiar jaguar-like pattern adorns the floor. It is not hard to discern that this is Lord Weirding's personal bed chamber.
Ang had pocketed the ring in a the side of her cloth and plays with it...As soon we have a bit of time we can study it. Maybe our wizard will tell me what it does...
She sees then that bleep managed to open the door and slowly whisper "please be careful Bleep, this place is treacherous"... Far from the corridor, Ang peaks into the room to see if there are any danger (Perception: 15
Ang also decides to drink her last healing potion, realising she is the only one in the group who has some medicine skill. (+10 HP)
On one hand Saros is glad that the girl was prepared to comply of her own will, but on another he remains inwardly suspicious of the act, but adds to the teh girl "Celeste, thank you for your trust, I will try to determine whether this is what I suspect it is. I see that it holds value to you, so will return it to you if at all possible. It will take me a while to investigate it, so I will just go into the hallway to allow you some time to recover, and talk with Ghee if you want to know anything else. I might also have to see if your step-dad has enchanted anything else in the room as well, so will be back shortly"
With that Saros edges away from Celeste (and as he does so he is trying to be aware of any change to the pendant - just in case it is trapped, eg if it gets warmer or glows as it moves away from Celeste he will stop) and steps out of the room and sits down, places this amulet on the ground and decides to cast Detect Magic as a ritual as the first order of business, wanting to validate it as magical before progressing too far (he also wants to get back into Celeste's room and see what other things might also give of a magical aura, including her). Once it is cast, he will obviously see whether the pendant is magical, but will pause any further investigation to step back into the doorway and survey the room, seeking to locate other sources of magic and will inform Ghee (and may modify the below if something material is found to warrant it - otherwise).
He then returns to his study of the amulet, looking for symbols or script, seeking to determine what it is.
