If Shad is still blind he will make a disadvantaged attack with another dagger, not by throwing it, but by stabbing from behind his shield: 7 to hit, for 4 damage.
If he has been able to clear the ash from his eyes, he will cast Toll the Dead (WIS DC 12) on the mephit closest to him: 8 if it has taken no damage, 10 if it is wounded.

(OOC Qinfaren had been the first one to attack last round - not sure he needed to be NPC'd but thanks if I missed something along the way).
Qinfaren sees Muharg go down, wishing he had more power left in him. He had used his only healing spell on Arogna during the fight with the fire mephits. If they can put a quick end to these creatures they could still help Muharg.
He steps forward and swings his staff once more at the same mephit.
DM Note: Okay, this getting a little muddled up now. Also you did not take a short rest between fights.
You release a furry of attacks against the mephits, and with Shad no longer being blinded, you have managed to kill two of the flying grey creatures.
However, as they die they explode releasing a cloud of smoke from their bodies. The smoke hover above the ground and occupies a sphere of five feet in radius.
The two mephits move into the clouds of smoke in an attempt to hide.

Qinfaren sees Bjorn move to slash at the hidden mephits in the smoke. Making sure he gives the goliath room, and doesn’t hit one of his comrades, Qinfaren takes a swing with his staff into the smoke.

Seeing that Bjorn has lured the remaining mephit out of the smoke, Qinfaren moves in that direction. He sees the big goliath make contact with the mephit and just in case that blow didn't finish the creature, Qinfaren swings his staff at the impish monster.

Spotting the last mephit, Shad casts Toll the Dead at it. He crouches between it and Muharg. The Wisdom DC is 12 for 1 damage. Ashy tears have matted the dirty fur of his face.
With the attacks from Bjorn, Qinfaren and Shad, the final smoke mephit finally dies as well. Once again it bursts into a cloud of smoke that lingers in the air.
After that the market area is once again quiet. Snow continues to fall and the blanket of white that covers the stalls of this abandoned marketplace grows thicker.
The further east you continue, the more destruction that you see. It would take some time for the people of Fireshear to repair the damage that has been dealt by these mephits. Those who have been displaced due to this destruction must be distraught to have seen their home being destroyed.

Qinfaren turns his big head to the sky and watches as the smoke slowly changes to snow. He sticks his tongue out to catch a few of the flakes. Then he turns back to the others.
He sees Shad by Muharg and rushes over to see if he can help.
"Is he going to be okay?" he asks Shad.
Qinfaren looks around the empty marketplace, seeking something they can use as a shelter.
"Let's get him into one of the stalls. We can start a fire to keep him warm and hope that a bit of a rest will help."
"This one, maybe," suggests Arogna, indicating one of the less damaged stalls. She tears down an awning that is half-hanging over another, scattering its coating of snow, and spreads it on the ground inside the stall. She begins to gather some broken pieces of wood together and assemble a makeshift fire nearby. "I'd say I've had enough of smoke and fire for today, but it's damn cold," she mutters.
Qinfaren watches Arogna work. Once she has some wood gathered, Qinfaren kneels beside it, moves his fingers like they're the swaying flames in a fire. He then says "Frugibus flamma."
The mephit catches Arogna as she swings her hammer back for another blow, and she whirls it around again.
Warhammer (2-handed): 9 to hit for 5 damage
Arogna's HP: 9/14 (claw damage (assuming slashing?) halved for rage)
