Redric breathes a sigh of relief and lets the large bat dissipate. He wipes beads of sweat from his brow, grinning at the other spellcasters. "
"Gotta admit - that never really worked befo-" His thought is cut off by Astra descending the stairs, creaking ominously and clinking in her tough armor.

Kulogall casts minor illusion to reproduce the bat sounds once more, to try and quickly cover the sounds of the creaky paladin. He continues to slowly sneak down, trying to stick to the shadows.
Richardpauses and cringes in his decent, with every clang and clunk of his friends behind him.
"Maybe we just forgo the stealthy entrance and you should go first."
Richardwaves his hand before him, offering for Astraand Durthek, in particular, to lead the way.
"I'll make use of my skills, if I'm moving ahead on my own, I think."
Richardgive a good hearted smile and another wink to the others. He seems to be finding the whole thing very funny and doesn't appear at all worried by anything.
As the guards go down the sudden sounds of Astra shatters the silence.
"Damn'it." one of the two almost shouts.
"You go and make sure I'll go down and close the church. They should be underground by now. ... Don't be late at the meeting." the other says, going down.
As the two separates another bat flies by (perception 4 ).
Strangely enough, the one guard staying back and checking the sounded curses loudly and shouts down. "So many bats..."

Taking the lead, Astra throws her feeble attempt at stealth to the wind, as her chain chinks beneath her vestment. Arriving below, she addresses the startled guard:
”Good. The parishioners are gone. Apologies. I’m afraid I let the bats in. Where is the other guard? I was told there would be two, to escort us to the meeting. You should be expecting us. Pardon the entrance, but I cannot be seen here. Not yet.”

Kulogall comes further down the stairs and joins Astra at her side. "Hello there. We were told to meet Tomas here? Is he here? Were you told to expect us? We didn't arrive by usual pathways, we did not want to be seen. By the way, you have a bat problem and a significant hole in your roof, did you know that? Now, let's get on with it. Lead away."
Kulogall starts spinning a line of BS to helpAstra in her persuasion of the guard, convincing him that we were expected and that we should be treated well.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Kulogall arches an eyebrow at the guard and stands upright, tries to put his best foot forward, a smile on his face. His right hand tightens imperceptibly around his spear and his left hand grips his crystal underneath his cloak reflexively. He stands behind and to the side of Astra and supports her assertion that they were, in fact, supposed to be here.
The lone guard is taken aback by Astra's brisk pace and nods dumbly. He gives a few scared looks as the rest of the group trickles along.
"Yes, follow me." He stutters, " Karl is already under, for the meeting."
He moves forward behind the altar to an opened trap door. Steep stairs lead down and a faint light can be seen down below. From the shadows, it casts the light probably comes from a torch.
A heavy smell of dank sweat but spoiled water assails your senses.
As the guard begins to descend he turns toward Astra once more casting a glance at the others. His eyes stop on Kulogall for a second.
"I haven't seen you before, from what church are you ?"
Kulogall remains purposefully vague and keeps his face and emotions as flat as he can. "That is because I have just arrived here in your city. I come from the Moonshae isles. You wouldn't know my church there. But I am curious to hear about how things are going here. Thus the purpose of our visit." Every now and then, every few words he lets a word slip in Primordial language, to make the confusion even more.
Redric breathes a sigh of relief as, between Kulogall's social deflection and Astra's fiery riposte, the guards surely couldn't further question the motivations of even the large group. Still, the back of his neck has started to itch. This normally suggests that he is walking into a trap.
