The guard is about to say something to Kulogall when Astra's firm reprimand stops him.
He once more stammers his sorries then moves down the stairs.
"Be careful it might be a bit slippery," he adds in hushed tones.
The stairs are indeed slippery and you take care to hug the walls. The smell that hit you before going down comes from knee-deep oily water that immerses the whole room. Some nasty things are clearly hidden underneath but the guard plows on.
Astra has to stifle a snort of laughter at Borys’s antics, but she bides her time. No telling how convoluted the path to their goal might be, and this good guard was leading them right there.
Kulogall keeps a very low level gust going, barely perceptible but just enough to keep the air moving and the smell down. “Will be glad when we get there, it smells in here...”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
The guard moves through the water, leading the way into the darkness. He looks back at you all from time to time making sure that you are following.
Soon enough a few steps of stairs bring you to a dry hallway. After opening a door you find yourselves in a strange room with doors leading East and North. The path leading south dips down into more murky water.
The guard opens the door to the north mentioning for the group to enter.
Strange sounds can be heard farther in and down a shadowed hallway but the echoes make it impossible to discern exactly where it's coming from.

A group is talking about actions needed to be taken in the city to undermine the power of the Fists. The voices mingle into a chaotic and undiscernible mix as the people start arguing."
The guard nods at the group toward the north passage.
"It's just in the other room a bit farther on. They should be ready and waiting for us." He seems a bit on edge at letting his master wait for more than is necessary.
As you walk a bit more you finally see the light from a torch coming at the end of the tunnel.
It is clear that two persons are having an argument.
For all
OK, you all know that you are going to have a problem once you enter that room. A regular rectangular room. Inside are three men and one woman. Closer to the way you come from are two guards, their back turned to you. The woman and the last man are arguing. Both are finally dressed and the man has a chain mail under his garment. They are all wearing weapons but they are not drawn.
I ll give you all a surprise turn.

Durthek follows, keeping close to Redric as the party descends.
"Tharmekhul guide you, my friend."
((guidance on Iron, renewed as needed.))

"Argument about taking the Fists down a peg or two...", Durthek mutters to Iron and whoever would be close enough to hear.

"S*&@" replies Redric under his breath. "This could be worse than I had hoped, and I'm not much of an optimist."
Piping up, he'll ask ahead. "Meeting's just in there, then?"
Kulogall says "When are we ever going to get there?" He keeps his bearings and notes the turns in case they need to escape.
