OOC: "Just did" sans the pest part, Sposta means. Just got up from a long nap. Think I might be sick, though not necessarily with The Thing. Still. Oof. Feeling the crunk q_q
I've got no issue with Echolon rejoining. Heh, it is 'proving D&D exists for Echolon'.
OOC
If only we were actually dealing with a pandemic of The Thing ... Then instead of masks and kits, the government would be sending everyone flamethrowers.
Hope you feel better, I've been trying to shake off some symptoms of something like the thing for about a week now, and so far all tests say it's not the thing.

OOC: My new character is created, though I will wait for an organic time for him to be introduced.
Also I still know pretty much nothing about what magic items to add to my inventory. Help please.
OOC: You go to Game Rules -> Magic Items -> In the rarity box, click "uncommon" then "Filter Magic Items" button. You can choose whichever thing suits your fancy.

"............anybody got any potatoes? We could drop a potato in each hole an' see which ones get viciously mauled by horrible monsters?"
OOC: If you're looking to keep it simple and easy, a'la Champion fighter, adamantine armor wouldn't be a bad choice. I forget if Wysp allows magic armor as a starter piece, but if so, then adamantine splint or plate renders one immune to the extra damage from critical hits. Very good choice for avoiding out-of-the-blue Uh-Oh moments.
Gloves of Swimming and Climbing are an underappreciated dungeon delver's item. Given some of the weird junk we've had to put up with in this never-sufficiently-damned mountain, having a sturdy dwarf with a hory sheet high bonus to Athletics for dealing with weird maneuvers might help.
Those are the two that jumped out at me, after a quick run through the uncommon item list. There's some other options, but they tend to be weirder Sentinel shield could be a funky adjunct to the Warning blades, but your dwarf's a greatsword user so neh. Other folks would have other ideas, and Wysp may have a catch-up package option.
After a period of relaxation, you are shown to a large multi-room suite set in a pitchfork pattern. A central entry and rest/dining/living space, toilet facilities set to the right. The floor is of a highly polished wood with a fire motif being prevalent. Four sleeping chambers are along the far wall, a weighted silk curtain providing privacy. Each room has a step up to a cushioned woven grass floor. A very comfortable sleeping mat is centered in the room with a silk blanket. A low walled section (balcony-like), framed with vines, looks out upon the canals of Silverthorn. You notice that the walls are cleverly constructed in a manner that would allow them to slide to the side making for larger rooms or one large space.
Writing implements and parchment are present on a low table in the main room. You can write to Cliffside and a courier will be sent to deliver the message.

Mithral armor can also be useful for a Heavy armor user because it negates Stealth disadvantage, a weapon, +1 is also never a bad choice.
Ilyara looked at the table for a time, the colorful furling girl simply staring at the pile of writing equipment. It didn't take a great deal of trained insight to realize she was wrestling some demons.
"...y'know, I didn't even think, when I mentioned sendin' reports, that I'd have t' sit down and write 'em," she said. "That I'd have t' sit down and spin a tale about how my team got ambushed and wrecked, how they're all probably dead now, an' how I got captured an' spent two months gettin' driven within an inch of my sanity inside one'a those glass balls. ...may have a different prayer in my fuzzy little heart tonight," she muttered.
Padding over, she set her lute aside and took a seat at the table, reaching with force and deliberation for the pen. "Right. Rip the bandage off, fox. Get it done, then go find somethin' stronger'n that sweet juice to make the night bearable..."
“Wouldja look at that bed!?! That’s pro’ly ssooo comfy!” Toots flops down on it face down. “Ooohhh, so comfy.” She then makes a “silk Angel” before standing up again to admire her “art” giggling. Toots then takes the opportunity to clean her clothes, very thoroughly. She also lets Star, Pipkin, and Mece run free to play together while she cleans the rest of her kit as well.
In response to Ilyara’s comment Toots offers: “I could summon my handmaiden for an hour to do the writing for ya, you’d just have to dictate it to her.”
"I mean, we could file reports to dispatch back to Waywatcher Overwatch; or we could write the power over Waywatcher Overwatch and the rest of Cliffside with a list of our demands, like resources to end that mountain." suggests Tommary the Unworthy and Sometimes Treasonous
"Knock off it, Tallboots," Ilyara answered. "It's one thing to remind the powers that be who they serve an' why. An occasional clever trick that reminds arrogant folk they're as mortal as everyone else, remind those with power of the reason they have it and th' proper use for it? That's what the Traveler blessed me with a mote of her own strength for. Protectin' people without power to do themselves, guidin' those Cliffside tries t' force down paths not of their own choosing, an' occasionally remindin' big-headed lunks at th' top of a place of their duty t' th' bottom of it. Thickheaded silliness won't serve none of our goals."
"Thanks for the offer Tootsie, but speakin' it's as awful as writin' it. Might even be worse. Just gotta grit the gob and get through it. Won't be th' first time I've had nightmares. Haven't had a proper night's sleep since you lot found me, bein' honest. Likely won't for a while. It's what we sign up for, ain't it? Doin' things that make sure the folks back home sleep better'n we do?"
Heaving another long sigh, Ilyara drew some ink up into her pen and began writing. Report: Ilyara Thundertale, Waywatcher third class, concerning assignment to....
"So," she said a few minutes later as she was writing. "What'm I making sure Overwatch knows, and what'm I goin' out of my way to make sure they don't pick up on?"
“Make sure they know about evil Wizard Whatshisnuts. Ooh, ooh, and that were makin’ ‘em proud here in Silverthorn and maybe even makin’ allies. An’ just in case they send anyone else to the mountain, make sure they know about Layla, 9, and the Gobbos. And Santa! Err… maybe you’d better leave Santa out of it, they’ll never believe us. Whatever you do, ixnay on the agicmay itemsay. Ne?”

Not that it matters much but LONG REST GO!

I don't know if Operation Sulaco needs to append a report of things you witnessed or not ... I was probably in the vaults when they went over correspondence protocol. But I'll say my writing hands a bit tired and would need some pep before I start documentin anything. You think that got taverns here? I wouldn't mind quaffing the taste of that mountain away with a few pints, maybe even break out this here special occasion envelope and foment revolution here."Tommary the Unworthy Uncontrolled Substance Purveyortugs at the envelope he's been holding onto since the goblins.
