OOC: DOn't see why not.  Been an emotionally draining sort of day what with all the murder and the soul-trapped child and such.  Girls could use a nap, and Tallboots could use some time to dream up new material.

OOC:  Makes sense to me.   If memory serves, I talked about a plan for Elyona to deal with the child's soul, but never narrated it.  So....

After they had all climbed to the campsite Tommary had found for them, and eaten a meal,  Elyona asked for the horrible amulet with a trapped child's soul and settled down near the fire.  "This will take a while, so someone else will need to take first watch.  I'll take second watch, as I'm not sure I'll sleep well after dealing with this."  Elyona settled herself on the ground, with the offending item in front of her.  She drew three deep breaths, entered and almost trance-like state, and began her prayers to Arvoreen, asking that the soul of the child be freed, and the evil of the item cleansed.  

OOC: casting Ceremony. If she is fairly confident that the child's soul is released, when she is done she will toss the amulet in the fire, then do her best to wash her hands, etc. of the taint of the thing.

The dried heart pops and flares with green light releasing acrid smoke. Within the smoke you see the image of a young Dwarf girl. She smiles at you, clasps her hands, and bows in thanks. The smoke dissipates in the wind and you feel a warm sense of peace.

”You take care of that gross thing and I’ll take first watch, I’m tired, but not so bad I can’t keep an eye out for a couple of hours.” When the ceremony is over, Toots helps clean Elyona’s hands with soap and warmed water. “How ya feelin’ after that?” 

Tommary the Unworthy will take last watch, and not at all because he's going to have the camp all strung up with Blair Witch icons when everyone wakes up and he pretends to have nodded off.

 "More at peace than I expected to be.   She was a dwarf child; she's free now, and thankful, by Arvoreen's grace.  Thanks, Toots."

“Here, put your head down here and relax until your watch and listen to a song.” Toots pats her lap and and plays Elyona a soothing lullaby.

"Hey...good work, Elyona.  I'm not really much good for that kind'a stuff, glad someone with a kinder heart could be here t' help the poor kid."

The sound of music calms your feelings, the fire burns down to warm glowing embers. There are even twinkling stars out at night between long bursts of white steam from the volcano. Everyone is relaxed and resting while Tommary takes his watch. 

There is snap or pop, must be from a torch handle breaking, right?

Tommary notices two shadows sliding along the ground. They are grey and black with what look like bubbles or blisters on them. He suspects they are slimes of the black or grey variety.

Elyona does not lay her head in Toots' lap, but she does settle down for a rest until her turn on watch, and then again after her watch is hover. 

Tommary passes his watch watching slime, when party members begin to rouse at dawn, Tommary will say "slime" and point as they wake.

The slimes explore and prod at the tiny hut, but not finding anything to eat, they wander off.
