If it helps and maybe saves Hudson Toots from scroteheadery clutches.  Perception 30 to see if Tommary figurred it out, and Athletics 18 to see if he pulls Toots out of jeopardy through some abuse of cunning action.

Also, I figured Tommary was Hudson and Toots was more like Hicks (Hex?).  So if Toots is Hudson ... Is Tommary Hicks!  I figured Ely was either Vasquez or Ripley and Ily vice versa or maybe Ily's Hicks.  

Wait, Tommary's Burke, isn't he?  Damnit.

Tommary thinks he pulled Toots back in time as there is no change in sound from the bad guys - no increase in movement or growls.

You think you might have less than a minute before they get to your present location.

Ilyara pulls free the Loony Tunes Port-A-Closet and quickly gets it slapped up on the wall.  "Quick!" she hissed as quietly as she could.  "Everybody in the hole!"  As soon as her party was chivvied into place, Ilyara herself darts in after throwing up a Silent Image of the regular wall over the hole, concealing the vacant interdimensional space and hopefully also concealing their sounds, scents, and other giveaways in the Port-A-Closet.

“Wha…? Ulp…! Wha…? Ulp…! Wha…? I told youse I didn’t see anything….”

The party scrambles into the hidey hole moments before hearing a light scraping sound and a few thumps. A patter of slime falls right in front of the illusory wall followed by a sinuous black armored form crawling down into the pit. It seems to investigate the vent and the ropes keeping it open. 

Spatters of more slime let you know there are at least two others above you, but out of line of sight.

“Anybody think they’re friendly?” Toots whispers as she pulls 10 silver from her purse. 

Ilyara immediately claps a hand over Toots' mouth, staring intensely out at the monstrous armored lion=boner-scorpion thing.  Conjuring a (silent) Minor Illusion in front of Toots, the object conjured was a book, open to the middle, with a giant 'N' on the first page and a giant 'O' on the second page.

Toots responds with her own minor illusion that simply forms the words “Didn’t think so.” floating in the air followed by “So what are we gonna do?”

Tommary the Unworthy puppet mimes a dog type creature walking by, then pummels it with a fist pantomiming as if it's holding a weapon of some sort, then shrugs akimbo in the universal communication of "how about that?"

Toots holds up her hand and begins to silently count down to her team so they can all be ready.

☝️… ✌️….

Toots prepares to cast [spell]animate objects[/action] on the fistful of silver coins she’s holding.

Okay then…. Toots’ silent count reaches three and she tosses the 10 sp she is holding out through the hole. While it’s still in the air she whistles sharply bringing them to life and sending them the closest creature:
