To Prove D&D Exists for Echolon

OOC: Daughter's parties:  friend party then family party.  I "catered" both, fortunately the heat wave had died off before I started really working in the kitchen, overdid it per usual but I should be able to get through the leftovers by Weds.

IC:

Tommary the Unworthy Intermediary asks the frog folk if they neighbor a "spider people" and what they could say of them.  Also asking if our map looks like it matches their understanding of the mountain.  If there's anything unknown to them, Tommary the Unworthy Lonely Planet Guide will fill in their knowledge or curiosity.

OOC: I love having all those extra leftovers from parties, but I love leftovers. Were the parties fun? And “HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!” to your daughter.

*Up is bad. Nothing is going up. Up is not an option.* The sections you came from do not hold much interest to them as they have no desire to go up.

*Spider people rude and selfish* Ilyara sees something out of the corner of her eye which looks like the sign for tasty.

Ilyara does her best to avoid her hackles raising, but is suddenly quite keenly focused on the encounter.  Whilst still letting Tallboots take the lead, she begins observing very closely for more hand signs or other telltale giveaways, seeing if these things have a weird version of Thieves' Cant.

Perception: 16

"Don't seem to care for the webslingers, nor the mountain above them.  They're whole thing seems to be directing us to a the stream, though if we take this crew too at their word, I fear we may trigger ol' Ackbar's pronouncement."*

*Admon Ackbar's whole job at the Waywatcher Academy was to put every Waywatcher candidate into the mindset of having their head permanently on a swivel.  Ninja's could come out ceilings, Anthropomorphic tankards of Red Sweetened Elemental Water could be affirmatively crashing through walls, when you least suspect it, sneaksand could open up under you sending you to the subterranean graduation exercise known as the scorpion mile.  The point of all this over the top lethal hazing was to instill the mindset that if things seem all right and you're not expecting it, it's a trap.

“Well, at least we have something in common with them, none of us care for the mountain above either. But as Ackbar would say, ‘one invite is an invite, two invites are a courtesy, but three invites are suspicious.’ Besides, we aren’t done our business here yet, so even if they do just want to show us the way out, we can’t go yet.  *Yes good....stop hunting them....i did not get any...with fish paste....it was almost dead...you poisoned it....*
ILyara "overhears" comments that she presumes are about the spider people.

With no way to pass the information along unobserved herself, Ilyara simply continues watching warily, ensuring her hands are never too far from Rilia's grip without making it obvious she's ready for a fight.  She keeps her senses open, trying to pinpoint clearer meaning from the background mutterings of these froggy sorts. 

The froglets wonder if you are going back up or going to the out or if you are hungry.

"So, I think we're all gonna head back up unless you all want to grab a meal with these folks..."

“What do they have to eat?”

“Ohh, dried fish, maybe we can make some…” upon seeing the second offering Toots trails off before continuing “…perhaps we shouldn’t impose on their hospitality.”
