To Prove D&D Exists for Echolon

OOC: Thanks to Sposta for doing the math!  Given that info, and Oethe's plans to be in melee, I'm fine with it going to Oethe.

OOC: Real talk, are we taking a short rest before proceeding or not?

• Oethe will need a short rest to attune to the RoLM, and that thing and the Hawksley’s Immovable Rod would make connecting the bridge go faster.
• Also, if folks want to spend Hit Dice either Tommary or Toots should Song of Rest to get the most benefit out of the least resources spent. If anyone else can augment healing to reduce people’s needs to spend hit dice then great because we will each only regain a max of 4 Hit Dice on our long rest later. (Tip! Roll your Hit Dice one at a time before hitting the short rest button.)
• Also, Toots will completely refresh her Bardic Inspiration on a short rest as well. I mention it because she has some unused Inspiration she can hand out if anyone wants to make some skill checks for anything real quick before we take lunch.

OOC:  Elyona is down 13 HP; I'd probably opt to use one HD if we do a short rest.  Question in that regard: my practice is to let folks roll HD one at a time during short rests, stopping when they are satisfied (or out of HD).  Is that the practice in this game, or do we need to decide how many to role before rolling any?  

She also has a 40 HP pool of Lay on hands for healing, but I sort of have that in mind as a reserve; it can also be used to cure diseases and neutralize poisons, another reason I'd like to keep some of it at least available for those purposes.

OOC: Looks like we're resting.  I'm fine with spending HD and using the magic healing we have on hand for emergencies.

For song of Rest, Tommary whips out his saxophone and gets Toots to join him in a cover of the bard of legend Dan of Steel's "Deacon Blues", which is actually the song that got Tommary to learn to work the saxophone in the first place.

 OOC: Learn something new every day. I had never thought of it before. Sounds like a good idea. 

Go ahead and roll one at a time or all together, whichever suits your fancy.

Yes, a powerful magic rod was on the list of things to recover.

And remember everyone, you add your Constitution Modifier to the result of each Hit Die spent when calculating recovered HP!

 Well that was weird.  I used the dice roller.  I'll come back later and see if it works then.  Or, if you'd like, I could roll in the game log.
