I haven't forgotten about Bardic inspiration; I will decide about rolling it as soon as I post this and see the rolls, so check my next post for that info. (If there's a better way to do this, let me know)
OOC: Just wanted to be sure. When “last round” was yesterday things can get missed, and Toots only has one more of those left until a short rest.
OOC: No worries, I actually appreciated the reminder; I had noticed it when Toots gave it to Elyona, but it would have been easy to forget about it by the time it was my/her turn.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As Tommary gets his footing around the erupting spikes, he shouts "Toots! Hold my beer!"
Dex Save 15
He then moves around the party, jumping the hole (hopefully 25 athletics if needed) allowing the glow of the lava to give his body cool shadow effects hiding the bug blemishes on his mouth and face (being a dueling equivalent to a professional wrestler, sometimes its all about lighting). Moving alongside Elyona who has the Priest otherwise engaged makes a swing trying to get his saber into the gnoll's armpit:
Attack: 16 Damage: 10
He then uses cunning action to disengage to his starting point, backing between the idol and the hole to "take the long way" back to that point.

Toots yells “This isn’t funny anymore!” She twirls her lute over her head and as she does a massive, oversized Maul forms of spectral energy over the Gnoll Priests’s head. Toots swings her lute as if holding a hammer and the maul comes down towards the villain’s head. A moment later she also calls out “So cool it!” With that she plays another chord from her dirge and another ghostly hand forms of the music and races towards the blaggard.
(OOC: She first used her Bonus Action to cast and attack with a 2nd-level Spiritual Weapon, and then followed it up by casting another Chill Touch. If she fails either her save or her attacks, Toots might use her Favored by the Gods class feature here.)
Spiritual Weapon Attack: 11 Damage: 6, Plus *Hex: 4 Chill Touch Attack: 18 Damage: 12, Plus *Hex: 2
*I listed Hex separately because Toots may have dropped Concentration, I won’t know until after I post. If either attack is a Critical Hit it won’t automatically double the die because it’s separate, so I might need to add that. Again, I won’t know until after I post.
Apparently neither save failed and neither attack was a Crit. But at least my damage rolls are as crappy as ever. Good to know I’m as consistent with these dice as the ones on the sheet and IRL. 😭 lol
Lighting from below gives Tommary a particularly savage look as he pierces the bone armor of the gnoll drawing a good deal of blood. It growls as the man nimbly dances away.
Then the priest staggers under the hammer blow of Toots and drops to its knees, but brushes away the ghostly hand like an annoying fly.
Elyona sighs with relief as she feels the healing energy restore her body. Gritting her teeth with determination, she makes two more swings at the priest with her battle axe.
Attack: 20 Damage: 5
Attack: 26 Damage: 11
If the gnoll priest attacks one of the PCS (Toots, Oethe, Taslyn) within 5 feet of her, she will use her reaction to impose disadvantage on the attack.
Looks like the healing from Taslyn hasn't been added to Elyona's HP yet; I'll do that now; let me know if I need to undo it.
“Hooray Elyona! I knew you could do it!” *With that, Toots plays some wicked riffs on her loot and uses castings of Prestidigitation and Thaumaturgy, she turns it into a real show, with pyrotechnics and everything.*
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
*OOC: So do we do the short rest / Song of Rest thing? And how does that work with two bards? Tommary's got his "performance" planned out if we go this route. I guess we should survey our scene before we decide.
*IC Stretching out the sores and kinks left behind by the adrenaline dump and frankly, getting thrashed around more than he's usually accustomed, Tommary asks for someone with the right sight to take a good peak down the passage. He pulls his coin still cast with light upon it; and examines the idol.
Perception 11
*OOC: I'd like to sort of canvas the room, check the hole to see if there's anything more to it than a shaft to a river of lava, etc. Let me know if I should make called checks or Perception and or Investigation will give me a comprehensive view.

It's up to the party whether you take a Short or Long Rest. You have the option of going back to the cave but that will take time.
The statue is 20 feet high and is (was) a high quality image of Yeenoghu carved from some black stone polished to a shine. There seem to be gems for eyes.
The damage cause during the fight reveals a switch near the feet of the statue.
The shaft is about 30 feet deep with flowing lava on the bottom.
There are two metal boxes which did not get tossed into the hole. They occasionally shake a little.
The priest has a few pouches with what looks to be spell components, three rubies worth about 200gp each, a wierd looking piece of meat hanging on a leather thong around his neck, and a suit of bone armor.

"............anybody got any potatoes? We could drop a potato in each hole an' see which ones get viciously mauled by horrible monsters?"
Elyona's smile at Toots' affirmation and show is a bit embarassed, but genuine none-the-less. "How is everyone?" she asks. "I have some ability to heal hurts; does anyone need assistance?
“If we take a bit of a breather I should be okay Elyona, thanks though. Hey Tommary, before it goes away do you want me to use my really big hammer to finish smashing that big ugly statue?”
OOC: Toots will be fine with a short rest, but if anyone needs a Long Rest then that’s up to the party. Both Tommary and Toots have the same 1d6 Song of Rest, so it doesn’t matter to me which one of us does it. Toots will happily play backup for Tommary if you have something planned. Also, if we are doing a long rest then Toots can conjure a Tiny Hut to keep everyone safe, and summon an Unseen Servant to pamper the party a bit.
Save: 21. I've put the 6 damage on Oethe's sheet.
Take your action too =)
