To Prove D&D Exists for Echolon

OOC:  I'm away at a continuing ed event this week.  I should have wifi, but the event, which excellent, can be rather exhausting, so I'm not sure how much I'll be on.  

"Yahey," Ilyara calls out before entering the room.  "D'you swear peaceful intent?  Bring no harm t'me an' mine, and I'll swear t'bring no harm t' you or yours while we chatter in this room."

"Say you, say me, say it together, naturally."

 The female answers in a familiar voice (the one from the rock), "Of course, I will cause you no harm while we are meeting in this room."

“Yeah, but what happens as soon as we set foot back out into this hallway?” Toots asks from the corridor.

(I honestly hate doing that, but **** me if I can ever think of a proper "declare an action" way to say "this bish is sus as hell and I don't buy that for a minute, what's the catch?")

...the hell?  It shows '9' on my read, but when I hover over it I see "11 + 8 = 19".  Ilyara's Insight bonus is 3.  Dafuq, dice roller.

OOC: As a DM, Insight is the one check I consider it perfectly reasonable for players to call like that most of the time for exactly that reason.

 OOC: We'll take it as 11+3

Ilyara still feels uneasy, something is giving her an itch between the shoulders.

OOC: I saw that, yes. So I guess you “search” your feelings.

Quietly, to the others: "I don't like this, guys.  It's settin' off my Narrows senses somethin' fierce.  Can't see where th' trap is, but I'd bet th' fur on my tail there is one.  it's your mission though...I'll leave it t' you..."

Tommary the Unworthy wroths his best quiet, "Well, I've yet been referred to as an edible, though I imagine that'd be a trip for them.  'Hem, anyway, don't think we can really back out here, so proceeding with caution.  Toots, let's 'play nice' with them if you want to back me up, I just need an ethereal groove and if you can predigiterate or whatever my sound to be a little more glittery, that'd help," and then he addresses the central figure while gesturing around to the chambers webbing, "My lady, whilst I am held deep within Rodan the Wind Carver's bosom, the artistry of the wind carver grants me an appreciation of the intricate sanctuary spun here in your domain, if I may offer this as tribute to your accomplishment," and so he begins his performance 7

OOC Guess these folks aren't a 70's crowd.

“Okay, you got it.” And with that Toots does her best to back Tommary up with song and spells. (Performance: 21) 🤞🤞

"Ah, I appreciate people with talents. Please come in so we can have conversation."

“Ah ah ah… not until you give us your assurances that we will come to no harm afterwords and be safely delivered back to the edge of your Demesne once we have concluded our palaver. That is, provided we cause you no trouble either. After all, one of your people has already threatened to try and eat me.”

"This is true, my company would prefer to not be regarded as morsels, even by someone with clearly such impeccable taste in design."

OOC: Going to play this like a music video set even if Tommary has to "Wrapped Around My Finger" the whole joint up in flames as he exits.

You can see the crease of irritation on her brow as she replies, "Sometimes people bring us gifts. You understand this? Mistakes can be made. Do you wish to continue this talk by yelling through doorways? ....." She tilts her head then nods in understanding, "Oh I see. I had not at first realized which power you might represent."
