To Prove D&D Exists for Echolon

OOC: that is legit some of the coolest art I've ever seen for driders.

The woman/spider creature remains hanging above but does not take an offensive posture.

Elyona eyes the spiderwoman clinging to the roof warily.  He hand drifts closer to her sword.  She relaxes slightly at the stone's instructions, but only slighty.

Tommary the Unworthy Master of Self Absorption pauses and looks arounds at the party members reacting to threats unknown to him.  "What's up?"  Then he looks up, "Oh."  He then adopts a similar posture to Elyona with Windbreaker, but is still murmuring, 🎶drive you wild .... wild (she's out to get you)🎶

You follow the spider with the rock while the other two keep a close distance behind you. There are off-shoot passes also covered in webs. As you progress the webbing becomes thicker and some portions are complete tunnels made only of webs, blocking sight of the mushroom forest.

An opening lies ahead and all three spiders pause with the rock holder gesturing for you to go in. You can see a dimly lit chamber of stone with three people/spiders within.

[OOC] PLAYTESTING if we want to try out the proposed rule clarification [/OOC]

Having their escort brought to his attention, Tommary the Unworthy yet Vested of Knowledge of Random Weird Matters takes a study of the spider people, trying to discern if his time spent in the vaults, waywatching, and being an all around dude about the world gleans any intelligence on this particular variety of arachnid people.  

[OOC] Not a sure which skill would apply to this type, so here's d20 2

OOC: Which rules are you referring to?

OOC: for a lark I was referring to the search and study distinction One D&D is proposing to 1.) finally assert strong boundaries between perception and investigation, and create an action "Study" to declare for the knowledge skills to be utilized, particularly in regarding determining useful info about monsters with the skills mapped to different creature types.  Since the whole Tommary Sazarac project was sorta to build an urbanized ranger without being a ranger, it's a pretty cool rule I think, but I was just throwing the possibility out there if we wanted to entertain it.  Anyway assuming this is a species Tommary has never seen before, and also has been out of the Cliffside eye for some time if it ever was, only possibility would be a high DC where Tommary may have come across something in his Vault dives or heard something from another Scout Rogue or Ranger in the Waywatchers, which I don't think this 8 is going to make in any case except maybe nature, and I'm not sure whether these would fit that.  More likely Arcana at least on the grounds that knowledge of these beings are likely "lost tales" within Cliffside at best.

The party determines that the central female looks relaxed while the flanking males are on edge - reasonable if they are guarding the female. The males are heavily armored and Tommary notices that they have scorpion like tails.

Trying to recall your Waywatcher training, people with humanoid uppers and spider, or scorpion, or bedbug, bottoms generally fall under the sphere of Umbra Lord of Shadows.
