My uncle used to tell me stories of his adventures from back when he was the traveling sort. I used to lay awake at night thinking of all the adventures I would have one day, and sneak off to train with uncle Randy whenever I could get away with it (and sometimes when I couldn’t). Now that I’m old enough I’m off to find my own adventures so I can have wonderful stories to tell my nieces and nephews one day too.

In addition to their outstanding etiquette, WWWs (or Waxmen) are trained in culinary arts, contract negotiation, and enabled to access information via the ethereal plane, otherwise known as the Ethernet.

(EDIT: I would not recommend such a character without careful planning. A character like this could all-too-easily become very annoying very quickly.)

Born into the Waterdhavian noble house of Wands, my younger years were centered around a proper noble upbringing and magical education...and the youthful dreams of becoming the greatest wizard in Faerun. Near the end of my apprenticeship, I uncovered a dark and scandalous secret about several high-ranking members of my house outside of Waterdeep, as well as evidence of similar vile affiliations by as yet unknown members of my family within the city. My apprenticeship complete, I must now split my efforts between uncovering the identities of the House Wands members in league with the villainous and conniving Kraken Society, as well as hone my own journeyman magical skills with a suitable adventuring company in order to find "fortune and glory" (as I like to proclaim after my third glass of zzar whilst at a spirited game of plats at the Gentle Mermaid festhall).
Possible Spoiler for the Taryon Darrington story arc from Crit Role Campaign 1...
Put your spoiler here.
My name is Doctor Occulus Threnody Yagnoloth but you can call me DOTY for short, I was abandoned in the Nine Hells by my creator after I was severely damaged and repurposed into a prison for a Yagnoloth. I now find myself on the Material Plane where I seek to understand my place in all things and the Yagnoloth imprisoned within me has deemed it fit to teach me many things. I feel no ill will towards my creator but maybe I will seek them out if I find myself in the same area as them.
Use Warforged for Race, Haunted One or Sage for background and probably Sorcerer or Warlock for Class.
I am a flail snail rancher my father's ranch is at capacity. Now I travel the world seeking a suitable land to ranch in a country where I may legally defend my livestock. Poaching is a problem and our family history clearly states only lethal force has ever proven enough.
I had no idea my life would turn out this way when I was young; I was just like most kids, I had absolutely no idea what I wanted to be or do when I grew up. But I ended up getting into trouble and had to develop the skills to keep myself safe and get myself outta that trouble; now I can pick a lock, fight with the best of ‘em, cast a few spells, and do a whole slew of other things too. It worked out though, I ended up applying those skills to other opportunities that come along, now I have a crew that I roll with and we get work done. 😉
Throughout my childhood, I would get in and out of trouble, stealing various beans in search for magic beans. One day, I saved the mother of the Captain of the City Guard from a bull, and was regarded as a hero, I was gifted with a pair of boots which I wear with pride. Now I travel the world seeking other people in need of a hero, if you are in need and i am near then maybe, just maybe, you will be rescued by Stoob Nissup the Tabaxi.
(Tabaxi , background: Folk Hero, Class: Rogue/Swashbuckler with maybe a level or two of Monk and I'm not going to say you need to play this with a spanish accent but it helps, the clue is in the name.)
Born to a noble house in a xenophobic society, she fled that lifestyle and found service with Lathander. Her 1000 adventures as Lathanders chosen ended with her being trapped in the Astral plane for eternity thanks to a well played trap and a tampered with portal. Over one hundred and fifty years later, the Spellplague destroyed the ancient magics binding her and she's looking for a way home to continue her work.
She grew up in a small town. She learned the magic of music from her father. She formed a band and toured inns and taverns, often getting into trouble.

Pirates murdered my family and abducted me when I was just a boy. Raised by pirates, you learn the skills of the trade, or you end up dead. I learned alright, for years… and then I slit the captains throat in his sleep and slipped overboard in the middle of the night with a fair share of the booty and my freedom.
I'm a Warlock. My parents died. I made a pact with an evil demon to get them back (I didn't).

As a little girl I always dreamed of being a famous Wizardess. I saved every scrap of copper I ever earned, and when I was old enough I applied to Mrs Honeycot’s Academy of the Arcane Arts in Mazoolah. I had nowhere near enough saved up, but she took me in anyway and now I’m gonna make Mrs Honeycot proud!
You and your caravan were stranded by an unexpected blizzard while crossing a pass through the mountains.
In full suspense-slasher-movie style, you isolated, killed, and ate everyone else one by one to stay alive.
You discovered that the skills you learned from the experience can be useful to others—as long as they don't mind your taste for people.
This one might be better for starting/entering the campaign with classes of higher levels using stealth abilities and quick, powerful damage. Classes other than rogue could be able to manage such a configuration—not likely to be appropriate for a squishy level one.
Words of warning: Do not use this to "it's what my character would do" PvP with the party. That's always a very bad idea. The cannibalistic aspect is just story flavor... no pun intended (but I'm keeping it anyway).

I like it as a a rather macbre charcter who uses the Chill/Warm/Flaviour aspect of Prestidigitation to cover up any unpleasantness. To misquote a certain cannibal from the movies.."I ate his liver with some favar beans and a nice chianti...but had to use prestidigitation because those two things really dont go well together"
I was trained from a young age to fulfill the prophecy read at my birth; 'A child born as ash rains from the sky, marked divine and white of hair, shall usher forth an era of peace and harmony.' Burdened and burnt out from the expectations placed on me, I ran away in the dead of night, hoping to find the peace in myself that I was supposed to bring to others. I had planned one day to return home and fulfill my duty, until I found others, such as myself, raised to believe that they were children of the prophecy.
It was three years ago today that I won my freedom from the slave pits in Nagorrah. After most of a youth spent fighting men, beasts, and monstrosities, I was finally free to seek my own fate. I took a few a years off to drink and whore my way from Nagorrah, across the Seven Sundered Valleys, all the way to the shores of Straella-Lee; and now I’m ready to fight men and monstrosities for my own fortune, so I can afford more drink and more whores.

Sleeping in my cabin a few miles from town, I was awoken abruptly by the sound of my baby crying.
I followed the crying through the house to check and suddenly remembered that I live alone and have no children.
I grabbed my cloak on the way out the door and have never returned.
