Perhaps the aarakocra tamed some giant birds (I was thinking Quaal's Bird Token for the stats) to give flightless tourists a way to visit their sky-island kingdoms in a Pokemon-esque flying taxi sort of contraption.
Maybe rocs or giant eagles, too. Their culture and diet would be interesting since they live in the sky. Imagine a small flying island with a tree and a cow just sitting there. To quote the Great Papyrus, "MEDITATE ON THIS IMAGE."
Also, how do you add quotes under your posts, because I want to add some Flowey speak.
Why not just have pegasi cows with wings that can graze from island to island (that's a joke idea but tbh it might not be half bad).
Or bridges….

Good idea! Since the aaracokra razed the earth many years ago, it would sense that most animals would have wings and plants would be seedless and nonrooted.
How do you add quotes? Still want to add some trademark "In this world, it's kill or BE killed" stuff

An alternative could be that the animals can teleport. Wings would look kinda dumb on a sheep.... But I think the wings are a better idea. Just wanted to throw the idea out there.

Sky whales would be a cool mount idea. Kinda like the titans of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, large sea mammal-esque flying beasts that are used as flying freighters, with ships built onto their backs. They could be a rare, endangered species, protected by the Aaracokra but hunted by poachers for their magical, gravity-defying blubber.
I also have an idea of how plants can travel from sky island to island: Introducing, scatterblooms! Scatterblooms are a semi-sentient plant resembling a venus fly trap crossed with a nettle bush. Their flowers act as small cannons which can high-velocity fire their seeds over long distances, embedding them into nearby islands or into the skin of passing sky whales who will drop them off at some point, hopefully onto a new island. Bees also carry seeds from other plants onto the scatterbloom as they go about pollenating, and the scatterbloom fires these seeds along with its own, thereby allowing various plants to spread across the sky islands.
What about Balloon Frogs? They inflate a sack in their throat with various gases to float to other islands. I know, it's a ridiculous and hilarious idea, but it might just work.

Now I want to ride a sky whale. Scatterblooms can be ground and used to make skybread, a favored food of aaracokra. Idea: The aaracokra have a massive and beautiful city, but it is ruled by the evil Raven King and his secret police that use arcana to eliminate the king's foes.

Perhaps the Raven King was actually a benevolent ruler, and the first of the Aarakocra, but he was killed by the present Raven King, who uses magic to assume his identity.

This makes me think of an awesome idea I once had for the emperor of a despotic military regime who was really a malevolent spirit. How the succession system worked was that the emperor chose an heir from someone in his court, but when the emperor 'died' this spirit merely traveled from the old ruler's body to the new one and assumes his identity. So the same evil spirit has been ruling the empire for hundreds of years with no one the wiser. That'd be neat to implement here.

Yes. Great idea. How about Aberros? They've got the incorporeal makeup, the evil, the whole enchilada! Or maybe an evil elemental prince (if this world has them) or something like that.

Does this world have genies? A former Raven King found a magic lamp, tried to get a wish, and was instead possessed by the genie. It'd also give a potential way for players to defeat the Raven King should you form a campaign around it. Like, they need to discover the location of the magic lamp, recover it, and discover how to activate its magic to seal the Raven King's possessor back inside. I'd totally play that.

I can make sky whale stats. They're sort of like the polar opposite of dragon turtles.
I feel like Tanmar is leaning more into giant creatures over smaller, less exciting ones. We've got Great Swallowers, Sky Whales, and Giant Birds (oh my!). I have an idea for a unique, smaller creature. Presenting: the Pygmy Tarrasque!
A much smaller subspecies of the infamous Tarrasqui Anarchum, the Pygmy Tarrasque shares some physiological traits with its larger kin. However, it lacks spines on its back, and only stands at around 2 feet tall on average. These beasts are mostly reclusive, hiding in small spaces dug out by other creatures. When threatened, though, they won't back down until the threat is a long ways away from their nest. Some people have been known to calm, or even tame Pygmy Tarrasques using cooked fish, the aroma of which seems to calm them.

Ratfolk, these creatures stand at 3-3’6 feet tall, they have short fur in hues from brown to black, sharp claws and big teeth. Most see Ratfolk as thieves and bandits, but most of what they take of the streets is the garbage left out to be thrown away. They usually reside in sewers or other man-made tunnels. They will frequently steal coins and other small metal objects to be melted down in forges deep in the sewer systems. Ratfolk are notably intelligent and implement many strategies into their plans.

Good idea, but there aren't really any cities due to the tribal nature of humans, so no cities. Like the concept though!
What about the Flying Scatterbloom? They hang from balloon-like sacks filled with a cocktail of various gases, and attempt to embed their seeds in anything that moves too close. The Sky Whales are unharmed by them due to their thick skin, but even the Aarakocra take caution when clusters of them float through their towns. While the Flying Scatterbloom is dangerous, it is also beneficial to the ecosystem, as they carry numerous other seeds along with their own that they populate the islands with.

Take the flying scatterbloom. Take the ratfolk. And marry the two. The ratfolk are small and light enough to use the scatterbloom balloon for flight. They carefully remove the plant itself and then fasten the balloon onto a backpack, then they can use it to floaty-jump across the islands. They have underground warrens dug into the heart of smaller sky islands, like beehives suspended in the clouds. And when they want to do some thieving, they hoist on the packs and float to the nearest settlement.
